Phenomenal inn and uncommon assistance! All of the staff was administration arranged and most amiable individuals I have at any point experienced. I don't have anything to whine about their administration all through my visit. I wasn't frustrated with my three evenings here. I will be back in the blink of an eye. I strongly prescribe this lodging to everybody I know.

You get what you pay for period. Management is chill , guest are chill. Everyone here is for a reason and all trying to follow the roles. I’m very picky person so when I say something i mean it.

If you have no where to stay and need a cheap place come here it’s only $225/week.....Ask to see multiple rooms and pick the “best” one. If you see any roaches, the front desk will bomb the room for you. I recommend cleaning (sweep, mop, wipe walls) yourself buy some raid and you won’t see anymore roaches. Also I’d bring your own bedding to increase comfort.
No mice or bed bugs just had to do some cleaning and I’m enjoying my room now:)

Los Angeles does not do enough to preserve or maintain its own history. The Olympic Hotel is one example. During a significant time in the 1930s it was the home of Itaru Tachibana. Go look that up.

This is a great place to stay if you are short on money and prefer not to sleep in a tent at MacArthur Park, across the street. I was a full time student, graduated college, got and worked full time while living here. This was a few years ago, so my guess is this place has improved since while I stayed here it was being renovated. The hotel has a great view no matter what room you stay in.

So far so GOOD. This is a nice, old building that could use a little work. The people working here are pleasant, friendly and helpful. The room is good sized with a full bath and a small walk in closet. The carpet needs to be changed or something put down over it. There are so many shops, stores and eateries nearby, something new everyday. I'll edit this post if anything changes. UPDATE: I've been here 1 year at the end of this month. This place is AWESOME and the greatest group of people work here. In fact, most of the folks staying here are nice.

Not your normal hotel! Very cheap for the week $250.00. Mom and daughter run the front desk they pick and choose who they deal with. Not the most professional due to cussing and having personal convos and etc while at the front desk. Actual hotel is pretty run down, with NO ammenties! Yes there is A LOT of roaches and YES there is mice, I never had a issue with bed bugs(thank God). No tv, no wifi, you get 1 roll of toilet paper a week and a dirty towel thats about it. People stay here long term but they pick and choose who can stay past 28 days without leaving for a night every 28 days and moving

Cheap weekly rates. But there are mice literally every where! If you come in at the end of the day and open your room door, flip the light on, you see mice just running around your room. They get in your luggage, food, & bed. The elevator is permanently down so if they put you on the 3rd or 4th floor be prepared to hike.

This is most dirty hotel in the US that was in my experience! (I was there when had repairs in my house) Mice in room, dirty bed sheets and bed wrapping in cellophane over mattress which makes it hard like a piece of wood! Dirty hallways, a lot of trash containers around the fountain on a middle of the building! Trash smells terribly. Also, there are many pets piss on floor and it makes smell even worse.
Very rude and unprofessional employees, especially aged woman April and her daughter (both work at front deck) They were drunk at work a few times during one week.
And problems with hot water

If you need a clean, safe, and comfortable place to live, this is not it!! This place is horrible! Rats, roaches, bed bugs, mold, etc! Do not let the cheap rent fool you! Rex, April, and Jenniffer are the people that check you in and lie just to get your rent!! Beware

Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite. Crack heads up at wee hours of the night. No tv, only a shared microwave and mini fridge in the entrance.

Stayed for a week.
I asked for a blanket twice and got nothing. Woke up in the middle of the night with bite marks all over my body.

But hey if you're looking for cheap and close to the train station you got it!!

I am grateful to have met the manager April who is working hard to fix the place up. L.A. can really be expensive and by the Olympic being affordable for those with a fixed income, it really helps some people out. Of course there are some folks in there that do what they do but that is everywhere you go in los angeles and staying at the Olympic is better than staying on the streets or living on Skid Row. Thanks to April and her staff who are trying to make the place better.

Let's start with the mice. I'm too good of a person to kill it but had to drown a few roaches in the tub yesterday because they like to pop out when I'm on the toilet. Poor maids. They just dug up the carpet and all the bed bugs came to play - I got bites so I gave them the bleach and water spray special. I'm a killer now. Then let's go the racist management run by some cross bread Hispanic lady who swears if I call the police they will come and take herside - and if I dare call the health department according to the daughter they will find items to list on my routine maintenance

Well , I lived at the Olympic for 5 years n I've got to tell the truth ... I loved it ! It was the drama i think . Just all the time . people getting there stuff piled in the lobby who were broke , the rapper doin battle with the heavy metal guitarist down the hall . They shot a move called constatine while I was there , about demonic possession , yup ! That's the Olympic alright ... creepy as hell , all the time . So so for the intertainment id stay a while if I were you . You'll have a few stories to tell guaranteed .... yeah so after 5 years there I figured I spent 1,825 nights

I really cannot understand the 3 star review below. As someone who resided in this building for over a year from September 2012 to October 2013. There is nothing good i can say about this place other than it provided a shelter at the very least.

This building is very run down and infested with all kinds of bad things. First, there is constant power going out at all times of day and sometimes does not come back on for hours... frequently there is no hot water and sometimes no water at all as the water is shut off for up to hours at a time. It helps when these outages are planned but it is ridiculous
