Records of the Dauphine Orleans' site date from 1775, and several of the original structures have survived the test of time. One of our most notable jewels is what is now part of May Baily's Place where, from 1821-22, John James Audubon painted his famous Birds of America series.

Could not have asked for more. Kind, caring staff; excellent location, largest room I think I've ever had in a hotel! (Ask for a corner)

This hotel was adorable, so quaint and clean. May Bailey's is attached and was a great place for a drink, Jennifer was a great bartender. The hotel staff, Jessica, Shawn and Richard were so nice and very helpful with recommendations. When I get back to New Orleans , I will be staying here again.

I am living with my son and daughter-in-law in New Orleans now. They were going out of town for the day so I decided to get a room to visit the French Quarter. I stayed at the Dauphine Orleans Hotel. Over all I was a little disappointed. First thing that came up was there were no Lamp Shades in the Lamps. I called up and housekeeping immediately brought some up. But is was a little disconcerting should I say something or just forget it. The next morning I found the coffee maker did not work, had all the fixings but I could nit make any coffee and it was very early so there was any in the lobby

Tried to go to the bar in this hotel but it was closed. no big deal. then we found out the entire hotel was closed, even though people had paid money to stay there! overheard someone trying to check in but they were refusing to let anyone in. woman was blocking the door acting rude and crazy. seems like they are closed and still accepting reservations. this is dangerous and fraudulent. please don't make a reservation here. I felt so bad for the old man here on a business trip but then had no where to sleep last night. I hope he's okay. and im furious for him. I couldn't imagine arriving in New

At this stay, the restaurant was closed, the lounge was closed, and the pool was closed due to Covid concerns. However, the staff remains very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. I will continue to stay here in the future.

Clean, spacious room right in the heart of the French Quarter. Friendly staff, and easy access to all the local attractions.
Hotel has a parking garage, swimming pool, and a night club.
Room had a large closet, TV, coffee maker, and a safe. (No refrigerator or microwave in the room, though).
All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay!

Kinda weird for this to happen, but I lost my money with this hotel. I was charged online. I saw the transaction, money was taken out of my account, and customer service before I checked in confirmed I was charged. But my money just vanished. It didn't show up in my transaction history or on their end. I was distraught. I had to fork out the last of my money to pay for 1 night (450.00). What a nightmare. The front desk woman was helpful not hostile and dismissive though. Housekeeping could be better. Front desk asked Housekeeping if she finished my room. She said "uhhhhhh". My room was rushed.

Would love to tell you about the hotel but they canceled my reservation 4 days before I was supposed to be there.
This was after I called their parent company as well as their sister hotel and confirmed my reservations. Why did I call them and not the hotel itself? Because of the hotels 3 phone numbers only one worked and no one picked up.

They are apparently closed, but not telling guests who already have reservations. It is completely unprofessional the way this business is treating people. Had a contract and guests booked for next week and though they are closed until November, they tried to charge people to cancel a room they couldn’t stay in. They won’t answer the phone or emails and I had to go through their other locations to get mixed information from each person I spoke with. Unacceptable.
