I was lucky enough to get a last minute room above Mag's after a bad experience with a booking a reservation at a different location. Paul and Princess Stephanie treated me like a Prince the whole weekend. It's a great location in the Marigny just outside the French Quarter. The bar down stairs is the perfect mix of fun and conversation. Highly recommend a stop in when in NOLA.

Stopped by Mags 940 for a couple bloody before my flight and they have one of the best friendliest bartenders in New Orleans!! Princess Stephanie was awesome! Thank you so much for your hospitality and the buzz I'm carrying home!

I visited Mags with my friend because our airbnb was right next door. It was great! Even though it was a Friday night, there weren't that many people there but the bartender did say there are sometimes shows on weekends. He was so nice and welcoming! He made their specialty "The Flaming Queen" for us and it was sooo delicious. Drinks were cheap and STRONG. We also loved the choice of music playing.

I stayed at Mag’s Guest House with my pre-teen daughter . I was not aware that Mag’s Guest House is attached to a bar called Mags. I remember reading that there is free parking as well. However, the free parking they described is actually just driving around the local neighborhoods until you could find an available spot to park on the street. It took us awhile to figure out how to get into our room. There was no one to ask and no one we could really contact. The bartender was nice and helped us. The room itself wasn’t bad initially. It had a very NewOrleons feel about it. The French Quarters

Horrible. Save your time and money. The room smelled so badly we could harly sleep. The bathrooms were beyond disgusting, which made me wonder about the cleanliness of the other parts of the room. I would NEVER recommend that anyone stay here. We stayed 1 night because we arrived after midnight and left as soon as possible. The only thing that I am greatful for is that Airbnb refunded me the better part of my stay. I still paid over $200 for an 8 hour stay, but I cut my losses. Lesson learned. If you're into being able to sleep without feeling the urge to vomit, being able to shower without feeling

I spent two nights here during my very short stay. Friday night I was at Mags relatively early (9:30ish). Few people were at the bar at that time, but the entertainers working still gave it their all. Saturday night, was different with people there for the drag show and the male review. Another great evening. Thanks for the olives and the drink Casey. I hope I get to visit again someday!

This place is awful!! I would not recommend staying here. I booked this place for Halloween weekend and when we arrived, there was no place to check in and so the bartender helped me. The keys were not left for me. The bartender gave me the number to call the manager/owner. He was extremely rude about the issue of him not leaving the keys and trying to find our room. When we finally got into the room, it looked as if it hasn't been cleaned in years. Bugs, sand and hair all in the sheets , and rusted showers. Called the guy back and told him I was not staying here because of these things. They ended

The pictures looked great but this place is a dump. It was remodeled on the cheap with paint covering up past sins. The plaster had fallen from the walls in several places and the were vines growing in through the bedroom window. The furniture looked like it came from Goodwill with the fabric torn in several places. There was only one small hook and a small towel bar to hang towels in the shower. The shower floor was filthy and unfinished and there were bugs. There was no maid service, so we ran out of towels The toilet was on a platform so high that our feet did not touch the floor. This hotel, one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in the US. Before, I booked the hotel via Expedia app, the Expedia charged me $58 total, and suddenly I received an email, the hotel’s website charged $137? And when I called them, they told me, this for the cleaning room fee!! Why it doesn’t mention in Expedia before? Why Expedia mention the price included Everything $58!! Also, I want to thank the Expedia customer service for their time and support. When I reached the hotel, indeed, there was no reception!! No one there? I called them, and I found it difficult to reach them? And the are looks

I used to love this place. It's a cute little theater and a dive bar all rolled in to one.
Then I had the displeasure of encountering their owner, Paul. At first he seemed nice, but as I've got to know him more it turns out he is a terrible business man and a creep. After I had my experience, the response from everyone I knew was, "Yah, I heard that about that place"
IF EVERYONE KNOWS IT IS TERRIBLE, WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP GOING?

We stopped into this neighborhood gem twice on our last visit. Halloween night the place was hopping with costumed characters and dynamite bartenders - great recommendations y'all. Second night was loaded entertainment - a freaky sideshow. There are just some things you can't unsee my friends. But good drinks, and a friendly welcoming vibe to all. Visited with the owner one night, but he didn't even recognize us the second night. C'est la vie.

My office just moved to the neighborhood and this past Wednesday we figured we should check out the local watering hole. My first impression was that the space was dark, and could easily become really smoky depending on the patrons. Neither huge plus-es. Then things started looking up:
First, the tap beer is only $2.50. All the time. Screw happy hour, this is AWESOME. The beer mugs were literally icy and the draft (Rolling Rock and Amber) was excellent.
Then, the people. Everyone we met was the height of polite, welcoming, friendly, and such. Everyone was excited to welcome us to the neighborhood

Mag's was great! We stayed at a guesthouse just a building away from this bar and wandered in midday on our Friday visiting New Orleans.
They are dog friendly during the day, a must for us since our two pups travel everywhere with us. They had treats for the dogs and cheap beverages for the adults. Their specials were fun and super-customizable.
It was always a strange feeling to ask for to-go cups for drinks, but was a fun novelty in NOLA!
Princess Stephanie chatted with us for the better part of an hour while a few local regulars wandered in and out. Everyone was friendly and funny with

MATTY! This one is for you babe! I think everyone who has come here are either loyal neighborhood fans or touristas with some attitude, and zest for life!
Dramatics, No! Hysterics YES! Warming up and letting go, "Oh don't you know." In the south they know how to party and...Does John Paul know how to wooo you with their drag shows.. (if you know what I mean.....) These ladies definitely did a one/two numba! Yeow!
and while Matt took care of Birthday boy and the friends he definitely flavored my pallet with not too sugary but definitely tasty concoctions! $4 drinks all night with
