So I had booked a reservation there the other day through agoda.com and when I arrived to the hotel, there was no one there and I waited about 5 minutes before anyone helped me and then when I finally was helped a lady prompt me that I would be billed a “$10 service fee and a $200 deposit” at this point when I told the women that I refuse to pay it she seemed like she was more interested in proving her point that the “terms of use” that she was correct more then she was eager to help, she also told me “your not the first customer I’ve showed this too” at this point I no longer wanted

Aight who's in charge? This is my first 1 star review for 2021. Although I do give 5 stars for the entertainment value of all the little surprises like health hazards, sneaky service charges, and structural integrity at Harborview (S)inn with all the problems here. I got what I paid for and even then it's pretty dreary how much work this place needs.
Despite being close to Little Italy, I wouldn't recommend this place at this state. Normally really low/lopsided review places reflect angry customers and not the whole spectrum including happy customers, but tbh after a lot of consideration

Not only ripped me off and told me I couldn't stay because they wouldn't accept my card for there deposit. They did the same thing to the person behind me. No they did not refund my money. Lucky for me there was Holiday Inn close by that didn't have that "problem" and was able to make my flight in the morning. Stay away from this SCAM.

Price may be “cheap” for location but I’ve paid less for much nicer. Pro=the person at the front desk was nice at check in. Con=the room furnishings were horrible. Everything was beat up. The bathroom had writing on the wall and it was a poor attempt to paint over. The counter looked like they cut it to make it fit and left it raw. Air never got very cold. And wasn’t happy with the $200 deposit either. Pics online = not even close. Normally I don’t leave reviews…this one, you need a heads up.

The worst hotel experience of my 40 plus years of life! I paid over $330 for one night. The walls had marks all over them, the bad spread had a stain, and the mattress was horrible. All those things were the least of the problems.
I had to call the front desk twice, once at 2:30am and again at 4am, because i could hear all the activity of the guess above me, and they were up all night long. It felt like they were purposely stomping as loud as possible. I had no contact with the guest above me, and I was out until 10p, so they had no personal gripe with me.

This is a great and simple little place that's off the beaten path of the other hotels and costs way less than the others. I'd recommend it to anyone who's a no frills traveler with minimal expectations and just needs a place to stay while in town. The double bed room I stayed in was small but took care of us when I was there with another guest! Great place for the money! Also there's limited parking on a first come first serve basis and right behind the Inn so no need to walk great distances as well. I'd recommend you to stay here if on a budget and need no frills place and met my expectations

The pros: The front desk staff was nice. They have Netflix, fridge, AC, and small TV. The location is walking distance to bars and restaurants and Little Italy. You can’t enter the hotel without a room key so some security. It was one of the lower cost hotels around.
The Cons: There’s only about 12 parking spots. It’s pretty full all the time and not much available parking near by. The rooms are small. The walls are thin. You can hear the next door flushing toilet or showering. It’s by the freeway so you can hear cars go by. The towels are old and rough. There was a hole in our old blanket

Tried to check in early and was told rooms were not ready, I explained I had a cruise scheduled at 4 and had 4 rooms reserved was told to wait until 3. I waited in parking lot until 3 and once I was checked in and given my keys to the 3rd floor it was 3 30 and than was told elevator has been broken. So had to carry all the luggage and coolers up the stairs to the 3rd floor and had to switch rooms with my kids because blankets had cigarette burns and smelled like smoke when it was non smoking. I had to run to the cruise line and luckily they were running late so I just made it. Woke up the next

The cleanliness of this hotel is in question. Leftover used soap bar in the shower.
If you would like to stay in San Diego and never leave...feel free to use the elevator. Easily one of the sketchiest elevators I've ever been in.
The highlight of this establishment would be Becky. So knowledgeable and happy to share. Really friendly.

This is a very old hotel and it stinks of cigarettes in the hall ways and the room stunk like vomit, like they used a old and dirty mop to mop the floor! We had just checked in and the toilet wouldn't flush! We asked for another room and they wouldn't accommodate. You are near the freeway and you hear cars all night long and the planes fly right over, did not sleep at all!

Maybe, if not is, the hotel I've ever stayed in. First off the room smelled as though someone had just gotten done smoking a whole pack of cigarettes. Second, the room was ran down and the sheets were dirty. Bathroom sink didn't work properly and neither did the toilet. Also we're small bugs in the bathroom.

DON'T be fooled! Complete ripoff, booked my reservation, was not told about a $10 service charge (non-refundable) and that the $100 deposit must be paid by card. I have stayed at many hotels and I have been able to pay cash for the deposit, then pick it back up in the morning. They basically want to keep and hold that money for multiple days before they refund it. Called my booking agent who spoke to them and the woman at the front desk refused to refund me for the booking and she also refused to let me pay the deposit in cash. What a sham. Not to mention panhandlers out in front of the hotel

The customer service was bad. I go to check in the lady tells me they can't find my reservation then shows me hotel agencies to book through. So I contact mine to get a refund and they say they did have my reservation under a different name. So instead of telling me they did have my reservation under a different name lied to me. Most likely to get me to make another reservation so they'd get double the money. I was told the travel agency couldn't do anything without the ladies name so I called and got her name. She told me she remembered me and that she "did not like me"

Stayed here 2 nights would not come back again. We chose this hotel because they offered "free" parking. They didn't no tell us at check in that the offered VERY limited parking that was first come first serve. There are only 7 spots available for all the guest of the hotel. So if they fill up you h e to find some where else to park. Ridiculous and very inconvenient. Room was "okay". Would not come back.

1. Toilet water reservoir is not gathering water. Front desk said 2 hours and maybe someone might come look at it. So, at 6pm we are trapped in the room until they come see it, or risk leaving all our belongings and valuables in the room and risk someone taking something? We are stuck without being able to use the toilet as well, and nobody is around to fix it? Smh
2. TV and remote do not sync correctly, then screen went blue and remote does not work, only the power button does. Side buttons on the tv do not let you elect choices, even if you try to use the worthless remote to select

I got a room for 40.00 on Hotwire I did have high hopes because Saving money was more important to me this trip.
The rooms are clean . This is the noise hotel I ever stayed at.
It's like camping go to the front desk for your ice bucket ,cups .
The room above me where stoping a round all night moving stuff .
I called to be moved and they would help me.
It's close to everything and is great location bud don't pay more than 50.00.

NEVER STAY HERE. Trust me you do NOT want to stay here. Not only is it on a very noise street AND next to the freeway, they also will charge you for things AFTER your visit.
Keep looking it is NOT worth the hassle of dealing with these guys after your stay in a crappy place. Nothing positive to say about them.

Here we were at the Harborview Inn and Suites. This is an older neighborhood in San Diego and right on the corner of Grape Street and Colombia. Just one block from Little Italy and three blocks away is the waterfront. This place is an older type hotel and part of it is still being upgraded. Our room was okay and to tell you the truth for two guys all we needed was a place to sleep and shower. They do have parking but, your limited to parking spaces. If there isn't a parking space for you, parking is on the street. Plus you are near the airport so you will hear the airplanes coming in to land

Came here in April and since this place is in a nicer part downtown, doesn't have to many people walking around. Checked in easily and was able to go ahead and park around the building. One of the entrances was being remodeled so we took the other route which was nearby.
Went up to the room and it was fairly large. The room was outdated but still nice.
No signs of bed bugs or anything. Bathroom is okay. Came complete with a fridge and microwave.
Decent place to stay for a decent price.
