A little high priced if you're frugal. But I have been traveling the MS delta and Southern LA for a little over a year now, this hotel is the nicest the cleanest and has the most professional staff I've encountered. I will say one evening I was in the lobby and an employee with raised voice shouted something vulgar but we are all human and he had no idea I was anywhere near or I don't believe I ever would have heard that.

Not what I expected or used too. The first room I was assigned had an obnoxious odor. He front desk immediately moved me to another room. The room was better and clean but had a weird smell, maybe of an old room. Overall the room was clean and comfortable but will not be my room at choice in the future. They need to pay closer attention to upkeep and maintenance.

Very shop-worn fixtures and furniture. Multiple missing lightbulbs in room. PAPER-thin walls. Antiquated, extremely loud aircon unit (requiring intermittent doubling volume to hear tv). Lobby has ambiance of a state-funded assisted living facility.
I paid under $100 a night; I guess you get what you pay for...
I would rate this place less than one star, but the location was ideal for my specific needs, and they do allow pets ($20 per pet, per night).

Well, this is my second time visiting Louisiana here on the West Bank. The first time I stayed at another military installation near Bell chase was compared to this hotel it is a five-star and it truly is a five-star to me. After checking into this hotel. I was given room And I was taken back by what I've seen the shower enamel or whatever the coating it was peeling upon the tub gross. They had of lack of basic recommend hotel supplies such as toilet paper tissue box. I went back to the young lady at the desk they accommodated me with another room and apologized. but the second room I went

My family and I decided to stay here after getting a bad hotel at la Quinta inn. We're we skeptical but we checked out the room before we booked and we were impressed with the room and cleanliness of it! Norman was very friendly and helpful with the check inn process and accommodated with our needs. The hotel is pet friendly but smells great inside! We had our 2 dogs with us too which costed $20 each per day. The prices were very fair for the size of the hotel room. Their was a kitchenette in the room which was helpful when we ate inside. There is a doggy area for pets to do their business

This is a converted, old military housing complex. The rooms are basically small apts with fridge stove microwave etc. The bathrooms have the old tub shower combos. As far as price, it's very affordable and should attract budget shoppers. The rooms and staff, no problems at all. My rating is due to the fact the location utterly sucks. There is absolutely nothing around this place. I guess I'm not on happy pills or drinking unicorn milk to find taking a $10-$15 Uber ride 2.3 miles (which you can't walk due to the river being in the way) to french quarters is no big deal. $20-30 round

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room space was average. Quick drive to FQ and entertainment. First appearance of room was clean until I went to bathroom. The tub was disgusting with stains everywhere. We were informed from other guests that they spotted bed bugs so we looked for evidence of those but luckily no signs of any. However, we did just see a huge roach on the wall as we were packing to leave. When we let housekeeping know, the reply was "Oh we will have to get (name) down here." That's it. No apologies, no compensations, nothing. I will never return.

Great value, clean, and quiet place to rest your head at night! The room was very large and recently updated with a modern feel to it. We had 2 queen beds and a kitchenette that had a mini fridge, microwave, stove, and coffee pot. The sink and vanity in the bathroom is a separate area, and the toilet and shower have their own private room with a door. The carpet was also very clean. The customer service was pleasant. They originally gave us a 2nd floor room, but when I explained to them that we needed a room on the first floor due to my husband's leg injury, they gave us one on the 1st floor

Great place to stay with a family! It's large and has a kitchenette(2 burners), microwave and fridge. Even had pots and pans cups and bowls! Room was clean and very spacious. It's very safe with the police substation on the next block. Gorgeous area and a playground right behind the hotel! We had a vehicle so drove down to main part of the city, but the ferry off Algiers Point is close by. The only downside about the location is it was hard to get Uber or a taxi since most stay on downtown/French quarter area. Overall, we would definitely come here again!!

Federal City is a former Navy Base that closed down in 2010/2011 time frame. It would appear as though the Navy just left everything and now the community is trying to make something out of it. They call it Federal City and it is a dump. The first thing you see after passing through the old gate is the "Community Garden," which is a bunch of overgrown weeds that needs to be burned out. They advertise as being a new development, but it is disgusting. I'm disgusted that the Navy left this place the way they did.
Back to the hotel...DISGUSTING! Its definitely up there on the

Opted to stay here because it was much cheaper than all of the hotels in/around the French Quarter.
I was scared at first because it's out in seemingly the middle of no where...and we don't have a car. There's a bus stop that's a 5 minute walk away and only cost $1.25. Took us to Canal street, and if you walk a few short blocks, you are in the French Quarter so it worked out great!
Room was very large, comfortable and clean. Perfect for a good nights sleep and a shower. Don't expect any frills with this place, but the important thing is that it's clean! Desk staff

I booked this through Priceline and it was around $50/night+fees. Its located on a decommissioned Navy base. It was quiet, and not much nearby, but I wouldn't call it creepy. When we checked in the desk person said that she couldn't change our room to a double since we'd booked through Priceline. Doesn't seem like it would have been that difficult, but who knows. It didn't kill me having to sleep in the same bed as my husband for a few nights.
The room was clean, but smelled strongly of carpet cleaner. I'm sensitive to artificial fragrances, so that was a bit

So we booked this hotel for one night on Mom's Day Weekend. It's a decent place to stay if you're driving. It's affordable as compared to the French Quarter and CBD and parking is plentiful. The lobby is clean and charming. The front desk clerks are very friendly and accommodating. Our second-floor room was large and clean with two double-sized beds, a mini-kitchenette and standard bathroom. And the beds are super comfortable. The hotel is fairly quiet.
Based on just the hotel, I would've rated it 4-star -- a decent stay for the money. By the way, there are no elevators

When I saw that this hotel was 2/3 cheaper than the hotels on the French Quarter and still a very decent hotel, I booked it immediately. I'm so happy I did. Federal City Inn is just across the river from the French Quarter in an abandoned military base. It was hauntingly quiet which I didn't mind since I was just there to sleep. After my long day in the French Quarter, the queit hotel was a welcome break. I love how large the room was, their normal room is huge with a pull out bed and a kitchenette and dining area. I was surprised to see a fridge, sink and microwave. This would be a great
