Stayed one night, charged me twice and then charged me again the next day. When I showed them the following day they told me one was an authorization and the other was an accident. They refunded one extra charge and the third charge remained. Its been 2 weeks and they still owe me $122.14. They won't answer my calls and aren't refunding my money. I'm livid. Will never stay there or at any of their sister hotels ever again. Period

Look if you're looking for something super posh, this probably isn't the place for you.
That being said, we absolutely loved our stay there.
You can't beat the location.
The staff is super nice.
Although, one bit of advice...
If your husband snores, go for the 2 double beds.
Highly recommend!!!

We were willing to overlook some cleanliness issues. We arrived and someone else’s hair was on a pillow, there was a pill on the floor from a previous guest and the floors were filthy (socks and feet will be filthy after walking on floors). We were willing to overlook all of that but the last straw was that we had no hot water on our last day as we were preparing to leave for the airport. It was ice cold and we could not shower due to the frigid temperature of the water.
The woman at the front desk was very nonchalant about it. For the rate we paid we hoped to have hot water and be able to shower

Pretty neat. Got upgraded to the king bed with balcony. Hotel still recovering from the September hurricane. Patchy internet service, dim lights, and lacking outlets near bed. Otherwise a good overnight place to stay in.

They sold us out! We scheduled way ahead of New Orleans Jazz fast at the regular prices. They called a week before our visit and sold our room out for higher prices. They gave no excuse and had hotels.com call and tell us the bad news off we aren’t welcome so they can sell the room at a higher price. Don’t trust the Andrew Jackson Hotel.

Had booked somewhere else initially and they canceled me 4 days before my arrival, so I booked the Andrew Jackson on the fly and it was probably the best thing that could’ve happened.
The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, warm shower with good water pressure and the staff was incredible.
I will be booking the Andrew Jackson again.

PS. I hear it’s haunted, pretty sure I saw a ghost resting peacefully in the courtyard

This hotel was recommended to me by several "haunted/ghost" shows and podcasts. They did not disappoint. We had a few spooky moments in our first floor room that checked off the "Yup, it's haunted" box. The atmosphere of the whole hotel transports you back to a time long ago. The rooms are comfy and have private bathrooms. The front desk staff are so very helpful and accommodating. They remembered our names as we were coming and going through the day. Definitely will be back to see if the ghosts are more active on the second floor.

The room was wonderful, clean and quiet. The front desk staff was amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. We didn't get the breakfast because of Covid & we had to park a few blocks away in a Public Parking area but that is okay.! I highly recommend this hotel if you want a quiet place to retreat and it's within a few blocks walking distance of EVERYTHING. I'm planning my next trip already.
Thank you all for an amazing first time adventure.

Super quaint hotel right dab in the quarter. Very friendly staff (especially Brittany and Matthew.) Great court yard. The only complaint we have is the fact that the mattress and pillows were super… uncomfortable. It felt as if we were sleeping on folded blankets. After a day of walking a comfortable bed is a must. Hopefully they'll upgrade their matresses because we would definitely go back.

When we chose the Andrew Jackson it was all about finding something quaint, while being in the heart of the French Quarter. The reviews were good, the pictures were charming, and it seemed like the right choice for my first trip to NOLA.

Let's start with the pre arrive communication. We prepaid and received confirmation. A few days after receiving the confirmation we received another email that created some confusion about the first reservation. We attempted to call the hotel several times, which led to an automated message that wouldn't allow you to speak with anyone. We are still

Great hotel guy! I don't know his name but the blond guy is really sweet. love the service here! For the price it's a good stay. We got a nice room. No hot water after someone uses it though. Did shiver in the tub. I would still recommend it because of the staff!

Dirty, run down, expensive. I understand the place is old, but you still need to keep up with it. The pictures are very deceiving. Only thing place has going for it is location, location is phenomenal, everything else absolutely sucks, very disappointed.

I was planning on giving the Andrew Jackson Hotel a 2-star rating. However, right after our trip we received a survey from them asking about our stay, I was hoping that management would reach out to me regarding our issues and I haven't heard a peep from them (it's been a few weeks now).

We have been to NOLA many, many times. It's our favorite city. We love the history, food, music, culture, etc. When staying in the French Quarter your options are to stay with a name-brand hotel chain which you know will be sufficient, or you can stay in one of the "boutique" hotels

By far the best hotel experience I’ve ever had! The staff - beyond wonderful. So very friendly, accommodating, and helpful in every way we needed! The property is quaint, yet with modern updates. Waking up to having breakfast in the courtyard is so serene and relaxing. Being just off Bourbon St is great! We step out the front door, and the fun is there to meet us. I WILL be back. The Andrew Jackson and Hotel St Pierre will be our new friends, when we come back. I highly recommend them. The total experience just can’t be beat!!

"For every good reason there is to lie, there is a better reason to tell the truth." - Bo Bennett

Nobody likes to be lied to, or even mis-led. When booking a room at the Andrew Jackson Hotel, I was told there is a room available. That was not true; the hotel had been shut down for remodeling, or for Covid reasons, or for whatever. In order to get a full refund, you must submit your cancellation 72 hours before your arrival date.

Not even 24 hours before my arrival date, they sent me an email stating that the Andrew Jackson is not available, but they have booked me a room at the St.

Beautiful courtyard! I love the old time feel of having an actual key to get into the room. Staff were polite and helpful.

Now on to the negative- our room was basically a loft. I didn't know I would have to lug my suitcase up stairs!
There is free breakfast, but it ends at 10:00 prompt! I called at 10:02 and was told "they are packing it up now".
The room was TINY. Barely enough room to turn around. Closet space was very limited, and not enough room in bathroom to even leave my toiletry bag in the bathroom.
This was a very cold weekend by Nola standards. The window unit had a/c

Staff are fantastic! Breakfast in bed. They gave us an umbrella to borrow for the day so we didn’t have to buy one. The bed is comfy and the rooms are clean. Small but quaint rooms and the courtyard is perfect for photos! I felt safe the entire time.

We loved our stay at the Andrew Jackson Hotel! The staff was very accommodating. This hotel is very historical and true to its age. Large comfortable beds coupled with a smaller bathroom gives it that old time feel. The creaky floors and the sounds that carry through walls aren't a bad thing, it adds charm and character.

The complementary breakfast delivery on silver platters is a huge upside! We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to have a more authentic stay in the French Quarter. Skip the big hotel chains for this gem.

Also, keep an ear out for the ghostly residents

I'd like to begin by stating that we are a group of 50-60 year old family and friends members who are also frequent travelers . We've been all over the United States and to three European countries. I've stayed in some great hotels in great cites and also in some not so great ones . This however is my first hotel review , I am so disappointed and disgusted that I felt I had to share our experience. We stayed in the Andrew Jackson hotel on royal street in New Orleans which ,We booked for 4 days 3 nights through Expedia .com
First of all because of the historic location and background

This is a solid 5 stars as for those looking for a historical hotel experience in the Quarter the Andrew Jackson (and next door neighbor Cornstalk Hotel) are as good as it gets. The location on Royal St is in the center of all the art galleries lining both sides of the street. It is quiet and yet one block S of bourbon St - and the quieter part of Bourbon that I prefer, with Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop close behind the hotel. In terms of location this just can't be best.

I stayed in room #208 on the upstairs of the back building. I prefer this with the amazing courtyard view and a croissant

This hotel has an awesome location. So if you're ok with hostel-like conditions, you'll be fine.
The free breakfast is actually kind of cute. The courtyard was nice, too.
But the rooms---omg. My water pressure was about half "normal" and never got beyond luke-warm. Since I was only there one night, I actually opted OUT of a shower!
The door on my courtyard-facing room let in so much light (even down the length of the crack, since it never really closed very securely) that I kept waking up during the night. The greasy-brown color of the paint on the door didn't help
