This company is bad. My girlfriend and I stayed in one of their properties for years and were there before they took it over. When salon took over the issues started, like they wouldn't fix things when we would let them know, there were lots of times with no warning they would turn off our running water to do simple repairs and forget to turn it back on, they also would do the same with the heat during winter for weeks at a time, during covid lockdown they were working renovating the interior of the building starting at 7am while we all were stuck in our places and one day they said we couldn

This is the worst company on earth!!! We live in Queens and instead of addressing a major leak in our bathroom ceiling, Joshua Salon VP stated we should move if we are unhappy. How about making repairs??? This management company is comprised of slum lords. Lesson learned, always check the management company before moving.
Update: I have contacted both management companies. Salon Realty is responsible for the repairs since the leak is due to an issue with the tub. The super has come and patched the issue but not resolved it.. At this point, we are being ignored for advocating for ourselves.

I just signed my second lease so yeah I'm satisfied. I live on the upper east side where rents are astronomical and only going up. Fortunately they worked with me and kept the rate flat one more year. The area is nice the building has a live in super. Isn't all perfect but close enough to keep me satisfied. .

I filed a full rental application with them and paid the fees but had to let go of the application because of their poor customer service. They gave me wrong instructions for filling the application and after weeks of me following up with them, they finally said that my application was incomplete. When I complained they were very unprofessional. Other companies in NYC were much more professional and easier to work with.

Do not rent from these people. They must have about a million complaints filed with the NYC health and mental hygiene and city housing because I always run into the city inspector at the apartment building investigating complaints. They turn off heat /hot water during the day in frigid winter thinking nobody's home. I work from home and there were so many times I was freezing inside of the apartment and had to call salon realty.

This is the ABSOLUTE WORST property management company ever. They do not care about the tenant at all. All they care about is to collect the rent, which they arbitrarily increase each year. They do not make any repairs at all, no matter how serious the damage is. Whenever you try to get them on the phone, they are RUDE and UNHELPFUL - the entire staff is the same -
all rude and offensive! They pass you off to the "boss", Angelo who has got to be the worst manager ever. Does not care 2 hoots for the tenant, fails to make any repairs, and is

I leased a property for 10 years, from a landlord who I always believed was the owner of Salon Realty. If not, Salon did a lot of work for him. I really enjoyed working with them. Andre was in charge of our space and he is the nicest guy. He was always reachable and attentive to our needs. If you are looking to rent a space, commercial (as mine was) or residential and Salon Realty is managing your property, consider yourself lucky! And if Salon is owned by Henry Hay, our former landlord, he is a lovely man, who is truly a nice guy.

I'm currently living in an old walk-up building managed by Salon Realty. Having lived in many such buildings over the last few decades, I have to say this place is impeccably run. The super keeps the place spotless, and an exterminator is available weekly (via a sign-up sheet in the lobby). I can also pay my rent online or via auto-pay, which I love.

This company doesn't care about its tenants at all. I had an aparment from them which did not meet several city codes- despite paying almost $3,500 a month. When I asked them to fix the issues they were blase and non-committal. For example the front building door didn't shut properly, it took 1 year for John - the building manager- to put in a new lock to fix the door. 1 YEAR!!

Pretty much everything that could have gone wrong went wrong - apartment was filthy dirty when I moved in, got a leak in the bedroom, and then a leak in the living room. These are all common problems but it was the poor manner in which they handled them that was the problem. They gave me a little money to hire a cleaning person but not enough to cover the full amount. They fixed the first leak but completely ignored me the second time around - I actually wound up getting it fixed myself and taking the amount off the rent!

This company manages my apartment building, among many others. Having had the WORST landlord at my previous apartment (I know, I'm sure we all could duke it out for having the "worst" landlord), this company has been so refreshing! Online rental payments, a super who cleans the entry and stairwells every day, and keeps the garbage and recycling neat, organized, and never overflowing.
