We hired Tim McGill after searching online for home inspectors and hired him to come and conduct a whole house inspection for us to determine if it qualified for our loan for the purchase of this house. Tim inspected the house from top, from crawling on the roof to searching down to the tiniest crack in the garage floor.
Generally, I will meet you or your agent to let me into the house at the appointed inspection time. Sometimes I am given a lockbox number and let myself in. If I know that the house is unoccupied, I often show up a little early to start on the exterior. I usually find that it works best to do the inspection and then do a walk-and-talk after I'm done, but you are welcome to follow me around as I do the inspection.
Because I put a lot of pictures in my reports, It usually takes me at least two hours to produce a report. I nearly always have the report finished and emailed by the end of the same day of the inspection. Yes, I visually inspect for evidence of WDI and Mold/Mildew and note anything found on the report.

Tim went above and beyond! He was completely thorough in his inspections, literally from top (roof and attic) to bottom (foundation and crawl space). He took MANY pictures of things I wouldn’t even consider to think about and even brought up solutions to every single problem or potential problem. The price is absolutely great and I truly recommend his services.

Super friendly and professional. I had a house I am looking at buying in Scappoose inspected. He pointed out great things I missed and I had the report before noon the next day. After owning my house for eight years, I really needed an independent assessment to help me prioritize a bunch of deferred maintenance projects before I decide to either rent or sell my house. For a great price, Tim did a detailed look and took time to address all of my questions . I now have a clearer idea of what steps to take next and what I need to do whether I decide to sell or rent.
