Our HOA department has over 15 years of experience in the Long Beach area. We are ready to support our homeowners! Here are the services that we provide for you to ensure that your homes and condominiums are always safe in our hands. Receiving and investigation of significant complaints regarding Rule Violations and Resolution.
Drop off to our office with $30 non-refundable application fee (Cash, Money Order, or Cashier's Checks are acceptable). I would steer clear of renting from these folks. Rented a unit for four years to be closer to work. Maintenance issues were never fixed and they would give you a phone number and you better hope that the repair person returns your calls. After leaving they returned less than half of my deposit for a place I left flawless. Beautiful unit, very dissapointed in management.

My boyfriend and I attempted to rent an apartment through Appleby. I could not recommend it less.
The specifics of our experience will make this post longer than I have the time or care to give to this place, but if you absolutely MUST rent with these people brace yourself for unprofessional-ism and disorganization at every step of the process.
Fortunately for us, there was a happy ending. We found a much bigger, more beautiful unit in the same building for only a little more in rent through a different source. If you are looking at an apartment through Appleby I would highly, highly recommend

These people are nice very polite but sneaky and get intimidated when you call them out on their mistakes: overall living in one of their units they manage I didn't have many problems in the unit and when I did Sal over maintenance he took care of things in timely matter ! The problem was since I moved in paperwork and money I kept have to deal with "suppose I hv to pay for plumbing bills or fees over and over because they want to pocket money. Please if you rent from these ppl KEEP RECORD OF EVERYTHING AND RECEIPTS!!! I lived in the building total 14 years and never had any problems til I moved

I have nothing nice to say about how I was treated and talked to after being approved for a studio. It went from good to bad to the worst. So disrespectful to myself and I would never give them a good word or recommend them to anyone. They're liars and they're thieves and hopefully karma comes full circle for this office. I'm glad I'm out of that place. I'm not glad that it was their decision not mine at the time. No stars would've been more accurate. Do not rent any of the apartments from 424 E 1st St. Long Beach, CA 90802. All of the units are bed bug and roach infested.The mailboxes are old beat up and broken. The rails and carpets in the hallway are filthy and disgusting. The owner of the properties is named Richard Van Allen. Again, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!! If you are thinking about renting any apartments or house from them, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

WOW...i read a couple reviews....and i am quite the opposite. Things happen, we have had to negotiate some things...they respond quickly when something goes wrong...I have been there over 2 years...and office staff has been kind. I am normally pretty hard to please...and YES we have had to have conversations about ME paying for the garbage disposal...but DUH! it was glass...i SHOULD be responsible. They have picked up all the other cost that I DID not cause. I don't really expect my security deposit back...now a days that's kind of a given. The have to make repairs and paint and clean up....if
