All i did was to invest $550 into my first trading and to my greatest surprise, I received huge amount of $6,420 as profit in 6 days of… trading. The hotel is beautiful for pictures only. But the service is poor. I did not feel welcomed at all this location. The young lady at the desk was not helpful at all. The room was beautiful but it had a mildew… smell. The remote did not work or the refrigerator. So they had to come in to replace them. I could barely sleep as the smell got worse at night. I stayed in the Mediterranean suite that was in the basement and dusty. Which I don't understand why you would have a high priced suite in the basement with no view with a bad smell. I couldn't wait to leave that hotel. I'm so glad I only reserved

Very centrally located on a great corner near the hockey arena, two blocks from Chinatown, across the street from the National Portrait Museum and about 1/2 mile to the National Mall. Good restaurant in the… hotel and lots of great restaurants within two blocks. Walked everywhere. Hotel was originally the first U.S. International Post Office and the first telegraph station operated by Morse. Rooms are large and the hotel is a step back into history. Loved it. However, you pay for what you get but well worth it.

This is a top notch IHG property! Such a unique building. The decor is just spectacular, so classy.
We made it with 5 minutes to spare to take advantage of their daily wine hour. The server was even so kind to give us 2 glasses since we got there so late.
The location is easy to get to, with valet parking. Walking a distance to many attractions.
The building was the first Post office of Washington DC, I am guessing the rooms were offices, high ceilings. We were upgraded to a King Premier room.
Kimptons are always gracious to Spire members.
The room was just amazing, a view of the courtyard

Luxury and location! Everything you would expect from a Kimpton hotel. Two minutes to metro transit station and capital one arena. Half a mile walk to the national mall . Wow! The hotel Monaco has a lot of history engulfed in these walls dating back to the civil war and my personal favorite President Abraham Lincoln. It was once a post office that got totally revamped into this luxurious hotel today.
I recommend room # 311 because after a full day of enjoying the national mall and the Awesome Bible Museum you will want to have plenty of room to relax and unwind. The service is Awesome here as

After a long flight, had the best meal and fantabulous service from Dino in the hotel restaurant, Dirty Habit. I chose the wines and he chose the food selections including this beautiful cold cauliflower soup over salted cucumber topped with cooked crab and a strawberry mango cheesecake with homemade caramel. How did he know I am a caramel fanatic?? I travel a lot and Dino gave me the best experience with charming conversation and stellar service. Ask for him!

What a beautiful historical hotel located in downtown DC near China Town. This hotel is a part of DCs history. It is over 200 years old. It started off as a Post Office in its infancy. This modern-chic hotel creates quite the ambiance for entertaining and relaxation. I happen to be there meeting some baddies in town but I would definitely stay there if i was going to be visiting DC.

Amazed by the quality and friendliness of the Monaco. We were traveling with our dog and we called to verify an hour before that dogs were indeed allowed. Nicole not only told us yes but had a dog bed and bowls waiting for us in our room! Throughout our stay she gave us advice on where to eat and along with the doorman got us the hotel bikes to help travel around town. Such a beautiful hotel but the service shinned above. Wonderful staff from the valet to the desk to everyone in between. Had what looked like an amazing restaurant but we were not able to try it, however look forward to trying it

We were spending a weekend in DC and booked this hotel through expedia. This is going to sound strange, but one of the reasons we chose to stay at this hotel was the bathroom. I knew we were going to be doing a LOT of walking in DC, and was so excited to be able to soak in the tub at the end of the day. Yah...no. As you can see from the photo, the bathroom looked NOTHING like what was in the photos when we booked the room. The tub was old. Really old. So old that the stopper didn't even work properly. I had to press and twist the stopper until finally I got it to stay down. And it gets even

So our check in process and the staff here were all great and wonderful. Thing is- in the middle of the night someone entered into our room... it was around 2:45ish AM when we woke up to someone who had a key to our room. I obviously screamed and the person left and closed the door without saying anything. We called the front desk after 5 mins (we were trying to collect ourselves after the brief freak out) and notified them that someone entered into our room. The front desk said they'll send someone up- about 15 mins or so later, no one came so we called again and they said they had sent security

Fantastic location near National Portrait Gallery. Elegant building.
Surprisingly tiny room with zero closet space. Friendly staff. Elegantly lobby with late aftenoon drinks and snacks.
DIrty Habit restaurant is something to skip--salty food and inattentive service even during an empty time (early afternoon, well past any lunch crowd)

I attended a holiday party at the kimpton and I have to say that I was a little disappointed when I left. The venue itself was nice and our banquet area was lovely, however the food left much to be desired. The hors d'oeuvres clearly came out of a bag. I'm aware that a few hot hors d'oeuvres at a typical hotel come out of a bag, however it never should look or taste like it in my opinion. The food was also room temp to luke warm at best and could've used a bit more flavor. Also the servers could've been a bit more knowledgeable about the food items, as they stated that

I'm always nervous about staying at a boutique hotel because you never what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised. Complimentary glass of wine at check in prior to 5 PM. Free coffee and tea at breakfast time. Only complaint: rooms are a little smaller than expected with the hotel having total of 4 floors.

TIP: Request a room on the 3rd or 4th floor.
Lobby is on 2nd floor. Rooms on the 1st floor don't have windows which make the small rooms feel even more claustrophobic.

TIP: Park at the iparkit parking garage on 616 E. St
Don't use their valet parking which is $54 per night

I'm a big fan of Kimpton hotels but this is definitely the worst one I've ever been to. It has a really good location and is in a historic building in the Penn Square neighborhood that's adjacent to Chinatown.

Let's start with the cons:
1. There's only one common area bathroom which is on the third floor. That means everybody from the restaurant inside the hotel (the Dirty Habit) has to take the elevator up to the third-floor or the stairs and then stumble all the way down to these bathrooms. If your room is 317 or up then you will be affected by this noise. There is

TL; DR: Decent value for a super convenient location. Clean rooms but curt - bordering on rude - staff knock the experience down a couple of stars; particularly the restaurant and bar staff.

The Hotel Monaco striking. Walking into the lobby it almost feels like you've been transported to a scene from the Great Gatsby. And, despite this feeling of opulence from an era gone, Kimpton has done a pretty decent job getting the necessary upgrades needed to remain competitive done. This includes renovated bathrooms and fitness center.

However, I docked one star for the pretty outrageous resort

Such a lovely oasis in a bustling city.

I am a massive U2 fan. Saw them last year during the Joshua Tree 2017 tour at FedEx field. It was a great show but we had to stay at a hotel that, let's just say, was less than luxurious. So this year, after getting my presale code and stalking Ticketmaster to get my premium (and ridiculously expensive) tickets, I immediately scoured the area to find the closest, nicest, reasonably priced hotel. I've stayed at Kimpton hotels on the West Coast and always felt like I was relaxed and taken care of, so when I saw a Kimpton right across the street
