As a small & shy female, walking myself into a jiu jitsu gym and throwing on a gi is not something I would’ve probably ever done if not for Hillary & UJJ. The environment is so positive and welcoming. This gym is the perfect place for professional fighters training, or the terrified woman who just wants to build some confidence and feel comfortable to walk on the street by herself. And everything/everyone in between! I cannot recommend Unicorn to enough people. We recently moved and finding a new gym wasn’t even a question. UJJ is worth the drive. Aside from my home & place of work, their mats

Outstanding jiu-jitsu instruction and training in a friendly, welcoming place! The instructors here, Hillary and Brian, are both terrific, and they create an environment that is really open and positive. Whether you're interested in fitness, fun, health or competition training, this is a great spot to train BJJ.

I signed my daughter up for bi weekly classes here after she was assaulted her first week of public school. She's small for her age and I wanted her to be able to take care of herself when there aren't adults around to do so.
She's been doing classes here for just over 2 months and has covered the basics and is beginning to learn specific defense moves.
Last week an older student tried to yank her around at recess, and she was able to get him on the ground so that he released her.
100% cannot recommend these classes enough. If nothing else, it will give your child the confidence to be assertive

I have trained and competed along side of the coaches at this school. If you want to know if the techniques that they use work in action. Just ask to see the giant stack of metals from the biggest tournaments in the world. They are the real deal!

We're so glad Unicorn moved into the neighborhood. The facility is brand new, super clean, really nice. Martial arts gyms can be intimidating places to walk into, but Hillary, Brian and Andrew were all so welcoming and friendly that we felt at ease right away. They balance that inviting space with kick butt training: you will work HARD, and learn powerful skills from some talented teachers. I look forward to taking the yoga classes too.
One last thing I love is that this is NOT a hard sell, sign a 3 year contract kind of place. Their pricing is straightforward and reasonable, so you can drop
