Recently stayed in December 2021 for the weekend - a little get away. The hotel room was spacious clean and less then a 1/2 block from beach. They have free parking and you feel safe . The rooms were clean and had a little kitchen area which was perfect. The staff was super kind and very helpful with anything you may need. I feel this is a fun and safe place to stay and you are so close to beach / boardwalk / restaurants and many shops. I enjoyed my stay and I would stay again.

Arriving was a little strange since you have to check in down the street at another motel.. but the staff was friendly. Nicely remodeled, however I think they should have invested some money in the beds/pillows and A/C units. Beds and pillows were old and not very comfortable and just say a prayer that you won't need A/C or heat... the unit barely worked and was extremely loud. Location for the price really can't be beat, plenty of parking, and the room was much more spacious than any other motel I've been to in the area. Overall, not bad and not great.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Stayed here for one night and came home with multiple bug bites. I think bed bugs because the bites have bruising around them. There were NO TOWELS, there were flies inside the room, the shower was cracked, the bathroom was dirty, the floor was disgusting and full of sand, there's no one to tend to you at this property so you have to drive to a different property but they do not answer the phone so you literally have to drive there in person to get anything done, it's just disgusting and awful. Save your money, or spend a little more for a better place. Especially

I'm giving it 3 stars only because it is only about 3-5 minutes from the beach and a short walk to restaurants. The wi-fi codes they gave us never worked. I stopped trying after 6 new code attempts. The AC was blowing hot air. Nothing we did fixed it until the final night so we slept with the window open. Cold air finally came on the last night but it rattled all night along with the ceiling fan bouncing around and making noise. Not sure who chose the new sinks in the bathroom, but it was almost unusable because no matter what you tried, you got water all over the counter. See pictures. Someone

I have stated here ever since discovering it a few years ago. You literally walk to the beach from it. Not only that but the prices are great along with the room. I've stayed in different ones and enjoyed them all. Let me tell you though the best about it is the staff. From the front desk, manager to the ones who clean your room all are cheery and nice. Even more is how accommodating even in the midst of the pandemic. My son has health issues and they've always always made being on the bottom floor happen. Marlene is amazing. This is our second time coming to this place. I'm a picky person when it comes to booking a hotel, because I have kids and I will make sure the place we stay is good for family. Before I book I will looking on the reviews and pictures. But this place, my kids and I never regret it, even though our hotel is not oceanfront view but the vibe is so great and romantic. Our room is in the first floor, it is a clean room and have a big bathroom. A minute walk in to the beach (Pacific Beach), 5 minutes walk in to the coffee shop, 5-10 minutes walk in/ drive to restaurants.

Location location location! We love staying at this property. The beach is less than a block away. It's so convenient to grab my beach stuff and be a bum on the beach all day. There is a ramp that leads from the boardwalk to the beach which makes it easy to pull my wagon down there. I never have any problems with the hotel. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean. Anytime I've asked for extra towels or anything, the accommodate. This past time I upgraded to a bigger room than I normally stay in. While the room was very spacious, I prefer the room that has a table and chairs on the patio. I will

This hotel is in the perfect spot, near Pacific Beach. I love staying footsteps from the water. The room was also fairly quiet as well

This hotel/Inn has many rooms on level 1 and level 2, you should call to find out if you must book a room on level 1 because the web booking doesn't guarantee levels. There is a pool and outside shower in this hotel. The parking is a bit cozy but you can park your car in front of your house. The checkin office is moved to PB Shore, two blocks walk. This is a great place to stay. I don’t know.... a few steps to the beach sand. Really even closer Than that. The room we staid had the bathroom remodel and the rooms repainted. It had a micro, a coffee maker, and a fridge. Very close to many restaurants. And a great board walk. But don’t take my word for it and check it out yourself. You’ll thank me later.

Our trip to SD was last minute. Our daughter goes to school in SD and was sick. I called on our 5 1/2 hour drive and took a chance as we had never stayed here before. The rooms were clean and spacious. We had a room with a kitchenette. Beds were comfortable. AC worked great. They are located 1/2 block to beach and walking distance to anything you may need or want to do.

The hotel was just ok. I thought I read it had a breakfast included. "They stopped doing that"... a house keeper said. Upon arriving the " check in office was dark inside and Closed. I began to panic. Where do you check in? Luckily a nice gentleman who I just gone through the same thing directed me one block down to the Pacific surf inn. Honestly if you stay during the week and can get a price around $200-$230 a night it’s 100% worth it. If you’re paying more than that I’m not too sure! The beach is AMAZING, the shops and restaurants around are awesome! The location is perfect. I recommend getting a double Queen basic room as they are upgraded and very nice! Parking is free which is great!! The bad thing is.. The walls are paper thin! We had people next to us being so loud outside until 11:30pm! Me & my kiddos just wanted to go to sleep because we only had ONE day to spend at the beach and needed sleep to wake up early..

The only redeeming quality about this hotel is its location - steps from the beach and also an easy walk to the heart of pacific beach. However, the room was not renovated as advertised. Beds were lumpy with flat pillows and starchy sheets. Room was fairly clean but upon further inspection, attention to detail is lacking as the edges of the room (baseboards, even just the floor) were filthy. Air conditioning was not central, but instead a wall unit that made weird noises all night. Walls are paper thin. Luckily, our neighbors weren't particularly loud, but we could hear every noise they made

Do not waste your time with this establishment. Reserved a 2 night weekend getaway in June.
1st off requested a early check In and was told check in starts at 3pm. Which is perfectly fine.
Arrived at the location at 1:30 pm requesting to be added to the early check in list, was told it will be an hour or two, waited around pacific beach and grabbed some food. NO CALL.
Arrived back at the location at 3:15pm and was given the run around, "we all fully booked out, we have 4 maintenance workers and 150 units to clean" I understand. It's a busy business

I stayed 7 nights here, I used to love this hotel, but there is a couple of things I don't like about this hotel anymore. The check-in office is a block away, and I had to go 4 times because the room keys were not working. This was very stressful, especially at night. There is no security whatsoever or any watching the hotel. The room is nice and is close to the Beach. I hope they change the check-in on site again.

We really enjoyed this hotel. Very clean and it felt spacious. The AC worked great, yes it was loud, but not keeping us awake loud. Just enough towels for us and great location close to the beach! Parking can be difficult, it's a tight fit and getting a spot was hard to find in the evening, but that's true for most hotels.

1st, check in is done at an offsite sister location about a block away.The room was nice and airy. High ceilings, brightly decorated, wasnt what we expected from the outside. The location was awesome, we had a view of the beach from our front door. Very close to the beach and a great price!

Great location, next to everything, food,bars, coffee, walking distance to restaurants and beach boardwalk is around the corner literally. It was good price for being so close to the beach.
I just can't give it 5 star as it wasn't worth it, the sheets were so stiff that you would literally get stuck to them. Uncomfortable as hell. Bed sheets and blankets are super outdated. Room was cute and modern overall no complaints there. Parking was def a little sketchy.
