If I didn’t hear someone (not a ghost) walking upstairs after midnight, I would give it 5 stars. No sound proof may be a problem .
(I meant I heard the person walking in her/his room above mine. It sounded like she was wearing heels. If it were sneakers or barefoot, I would not have heard the noise perhaps. I really like the artistic deco of the room and the high ceiling and the great location.)

Excellent service and stay. I don't think I'll be going to NOLA again anytime soon, if ever, but if I had to go I would 100% stay here. With the mandates that are in place this is probably one of the only places I would recommend or even be able to stay at. Interpret that how you wish. I'd give 10 stars if I could. Super clean, cute rooms, great service. Only negative is thin walls lol

Oh, what a wonderful establishment. First let me tell you about the front desk staff. My front desk girl Shelly was an absolute marvel. She handled my reservation and booking efficiently, and when my room wasn't to par, she didn't hesitate to put me immediately in another room which was even an upgrade! The room was wonderful, clean, and the bed one of the most comfortable I'd ever had in a hotel.
If you're wanting a French quarter hotel experience but also wanting to not spend an arm and a leg, La Gallerie is where you should go, without any hesitation. Just ask for Shelly!

Where to stay when you come to New Orleans and stay in the French Quarter?
La Galerie is located on Decater, which is on the far outside streets of the French Quarter. If you have never been to the area, the small roads with todays larger cars will throw you for a loop.
When entering the front lobby, we were greeted with a professionalism and a very friendly face. The lobby is a typical lobby and has water, coffee, and tea for you to enjoy. There is an art gallery in the suite that joins to the lobby, very interesting to view.

This hotel is very chic and modern, while still maintaining the history of the building and surrounding area. The room was absolutely gorgeous, and quite spacious. The location was perfect - close enough to Bourbon, while still far enough to sleep soundly at night. The adjoining restaurant was also quite good as well. The only downside, I would say, is the strong perfumed fragrance throughout the entire hotel, the room included. It’s not unpleasant, just very strong. Overall, this was a near perfect stay, and I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anybody! We will definitely be staying here

We stayed here in June of this year. The staff was friendly however 1. We were told that the room had a hideaway bed for our additional guests and it did not. The room itself was very dirty and poorly painted. The baseboard had not been dusted in months. The bathroom shower was moldy. The headboard still had handprints from previous guests. We were moved to a new room where the sheets had hair in the bed not just 1 but multiple.. we showed the housekeeper and she put new sheets on the bed. The room stays damp and sheets constantly feel damp from the ac and brick wall.

The room and bathroom were nice, but the floors were uneven and I almost fell. The room we reserved was not the room we got. We reserved a king sized bed but got 2 regular sized beds instead because the king bed wasn’t “clean enough “. Fine for me at 5’0”, but my husband is 6’3 so he didn’t have the room he needed to get comfortable. After driving all night, we were tired, but had to drive around the area to find the parking garage, only to discover our truck was too tall. Valet would have been nice to save us from all that driving around and potentially walking blocks to get back

My traveling companion and I stayed at La Galerie for a week in mid-August. We selected the hotel primarily because of the convenient location. It's only a block from Canal St. in the French Quarter, close enough to Bourbon to walk (but enough of a distance to avoid crowd noise), and — most importantly — only 250 feet from the House of Blues, where we were attending a pair of concerts.
And while we may have initially chosen the hotel for the convenience, we'll return for the experience. I can honestly say that I don't think I've had a more pleasant, clean, or comfortable stay in all my journeys

I booked this hotel on hotels.com because of the location, price, and parking. I only stayed 1 night. The room and bathroom were clean. It smelled fine. The city stinks but the hotel can't help that. I liked the decent sized shampoo and conditioner bottles. The tv was weird because it wasn't like a cable provider or local TV but it didn't matter because I didn't spend much time in my room. The AC was awesome.
They used to have valet parking but no longer do because of covid. But they still offer parking for $20 a night. It is a couple blocks away but you are welcome to drop

Stayed here one night during our trip to New Orleans while waiting for the rest of the party to arrive. Being that La Galerie is located right in the French Quarter, the beds were comfortable, and check-in was a breeze, we had little to complain about. A storm has just hit NOLA the night before so there were some issues that were out of the hotel's control, such as low water pressure and no cable/wifi. We got in pretty late, so these minor inconveniences didn't bother us. It was a Wednesday night, so the hotel was pretty empty and quiet. The following morning the front desk held our bags

If you have booked here, run away and cancel.
This is not a 4 star hotel, close to maybe 2. The lobby smelled and was dirty. I even saw a broken window from the outside. Not at all like the pictures.
Very poor customer service. After I booked my reservation and arrived it was then when they mentioned their internet, tv and phone were out and they had no way to communicate with guests this prior to arrival.
The front desk person was nice enough to cancel reservation without charge but didn't attempt to apologize.

We were passing through NOLA on our way home and found this hotel in the middle of the French Quarter. Their website seemed simple, but was lacking several areas.
Check in was quick, but we were told the parking was a few blocks away. So get all your stuff out before you park! Parking is $20 a night (website didn't state this). The hotel has a strong perfume smell. The paintings on the walls are beautiful and add a charm to the hotel lobby.
They only have 1 elevator that's fairly small and takes awhile to get up to the 4th floor which we were on. We were placed in room 417 which was

I stayed here a couple years back and it was amazing! I loved the brick inside the room and the New Orleans feel to the place. It was within walking distance of all major attractions and the trolley so you can get anywhere from here. They also have a restaurant attached that makes it easy to stop by after a long night on Bourbon Street!! Will totally stay here when I go back.

This hotel was nice. Rooms were comfortable. A lot of reviews I read complained about the tiny bathroom, but honestly it was just fine for my husband and I. The closet was small, but what are you hanging? There was enough drawer space for both of us and enough space in closet to hang our coats. Concierge every night we were there was extremely friendly and helpful. The lobby was lovely decorated for the holidays. Bed was soooooo comfortable. We were getting away from 3 children lol and we slept amazing!!! Last but not least the restaurant conveniently located next door was fantastic. They have

TLDR: charming, pet friendly, clean & comfy beds, walking distance to Bourbon St, self-parking or valet.
This was our first stop on our adventurous road trip to San Jose, CA. This charming hotel located in the French Quarter in walking distance to Bourbon St and other touristy areas. Stayed here only 1 night, December 12th, 2019. We were able to park right in front of the hotel to unload. Although I'm sure during busy season this would've been a nightmare because of traffic. As we unloaded, I went to go check-in. Beam greeted us with her lovely smile and made sure to inform

5 stars for the location.
Nothing beats the location of this hotel. Its so close to the casino, canal street and just few blocks away from bourbon st. There's so much going on around the surrounding area of this hotel that won't run out of things to do.
The staff is very friendly and approachable. They greeted you right away, as soon as you come in and go out. They have a little lobby where there only a love seat and 2 accent chair, and thats it. The only thing about that is,there is not enough seating for everyone who is waiting for their cars, tour bus and what not. Specially the

Honestly, this hotel gets 4 stars because of its location...which is totally amazing!!! It's so close to everything...Bourbon St, a ton of amazing restaurants, Harrah's casino, sightseeing companies...anything you want to see and visit while here.
Our room was cute but it did not have a dresser in it. So unfortunately, I couldn't unpack all my things and I had to use my suitcase as a dresser and it was a pain to keep it all organized. However, our friend's room did have a dresser. I guess it's the luck of the draw. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well for

This was a very cool place to stay. Close to all the stuff you want to see and it is one of the coolest hotels I've stayed in. It's not your standard "hotel" this place has character and I love it.
Staff was awesome...and I got a cool gift bag when I checked it! Bam! Check out the picture...its a great place.
