I would have given this hotel a 3 1/2 star rating if it wasn't for their greedy policy to ask for an additional $50 if you want to check in earlier than 4pm. Usually check in is 3pm in every hotel I've stayed at. They make theirs 4pm so you are either forced to pay extra or wait outside, since there's no lobby that you can wait in. At nearly $200 on Christmas Eve with the hotel 99% empty, i was asked to pay $50 more to check in at 2:45pm
That set the tone for me about this hotel. The room was cute, i like the orange and metallic color scheme throughout, and self parking is $35 per night. Plenty

Was not a bad stay in the hotel first, but the check-out experience was a nightmare!
In the C/O morning, I realized that my rental car was towed because the hotel failed to update my car information in the hotel system for my 2nd reservation (hotel did not issue the new parking permit for me to present in the car). The hotel refused to return my deposit, $190, and cover the towing fee, $402, without even mentioning the devastating pain of rushing and catching the flight at the last minute (fortunately, the flight was delayed). The most ironic thing is that both the hotel front desk agent and duty

It's very private, kind of out of the way. Rainfall, comfortable showers, with nice toiletry products available. Great price for two to stay. Nice Keurig coffee in room.
The concierge was very helpful in directing us, literally only 200 yards to our bus stop. And yes, Uber is very available and good in Hollywood.

Almost stayed here. Was just getting off a flight from Asia for a work trip, needed to have the payment made online and that was not up to the staffs standards. Instead they told me "this probably isn't the hotel for you" .
(For the record, every hotel is "for" every paying American. That's how this country works, correct?
Not sure if anything about how I look and coming in at night had anything to do with it, but such a claim would have us leaning towards discrimination, and I don't want to be unfair or unjustly accusatory in this review.)
They suggested I walk down the street to find somewhere

Decent place, definitely don’t think it should be 4 stars- it’s just pretty basic. nice decor but no microwaves or anything extra that would warrant the extra star- room is pretty small too. there is also a very strong air freshener/perfume/cologne odor throughout the lobby, halls, and room, just something to note since it is migraine inducing. air conditioning unit also did not work.

Great hotel for a vacation to Los Angeles. I stayed here with my mom and we basically just slept here because we were out most of the days exploring. It was so great to be tired and come back to a clean room with the AC blasting. I slept like a baby each night, and enjoyed the scorching hot shower (that's how I like it but you can make it colder). The front desk also promptly brought me a tooth brush within 60 seconds of asking because I somehow lost mine. Great experience!

I had such a great experience staying here back in May, the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly and the rooms were very modern, clean, spacious and comfortable. I forget who the manager on duty was but he was so nice and the whole experience all together was the best that I’ve had at a hotel in LA in a very long time. Cant wait to stay here again when I’m back in town! Thanks everybody at The Moment Hotel for making my stay such a memorable and positive one :)

Booked a room here last minute online, had to wait quite a few minutes for the front desk clerk wasn't there, it took him about 10 minutes to get there but once there, was helpful with checking us in.
When we got to our room we couldn't figure out how to turn on the air, it was a little difficult but the front desk clerk came up to our room to help us.. we thought it was broken, it wasn't.
The room itself was pretty small but it had all the essentials needed. For the price we paid, we liked our stay.

The Moment is the new avatar of the previous hotel on this site. The refurbishment is stylish, practical, well thought out and has a boutique feel for much less expensive accommodation.
Front desk staff are very helpful, and amenities are clean and readily available. Great location - stylish outdoor deck above the lobby. Parking is convenient, and you have a choice of on the premises for a fee, or on the street. Recommend the hotel parking - for improved security.
You won't be disappointed, given that the other hotels of this size and price in the same location - are not batting in the same league

One of the best boutique stays in a long time. Jay, GM, is highly professional, fair and keeps "The Moment" feeling fresh, super high end.. All staff kind, personable and helpful. Clean modern rooms w easy parking, cool lobby area, great rooftop, access to everything you need, amenities offered. Truly should be 4+ star. Its Euro influence is great. Can't wait to return to LA and stay again.

If I could I would give this place a negative 5 ! But all because the gm is the worse of the worse. Very unprofessional I've stay a couple of times there and every time I see him he is always frustrated last time I heard him talk about an employee in the most unprofessional way possible. Very rude I would hate to work with him , you can tell he has no idea how to run a hotel. If you come and stay here please avoid this man.

This hotel is NOT a nice neighbor - just one building away from us. In the past they have had overflowing dumpsters sitting in the sidewalk -- for WEEKS -- I am 75 years old, but I wanted to push my 76 year old husband's wheelchair up to Sunset and let him walk on Sunset Blvd. with his walker for physical therapy. But there was a mattress and box springs piled on the sidewalk and leaning against the Moment. I went and moved it -- with great effort! We went and took our walk and when we came back - THE MATTRESS WAS BACK on the sidewalk - I had to move it a second time!!! I have talked

Robert the front desk agent is who helped me, I have not encountered other staff members while staying at the hotel. Robert is not only the most helpful and patient agent I've experienced here at the hotel but he will make sure when dealing with third party booking that you are getting exactly what you were quoted and paid for.
|HOUSEKEEPING|
The reason for the three stars is because of the cleanliness in the overall in the rooms. If you are a germaphobe this might not be the place for you. The toilet has stains that could only be fecal matter. The floors seem to have some

Stayed there for 3 nights for a work gig and have to say, this hotel was great! The service staff are incredibly nice and attentive and I felt the decor was a perfect Hollywood vibe without being too upscale. Plus there is a bar on the roof that I felt had better drinks and atmosphere then most of the bars in the area. Was great to relax outside with a drink, watch the sun go over the Hollywood hills and then take a short walk to my room. The rooms have a fun and interesting style to them with bright pops of color without feeling tacky or too modern.
Over all, I'd definitely recommend this

The hotel wasn't bad, but the parking fee is absolutely ridiculous. 38$ for parking, after I already have to pay for the room, complete crap. I went here to save some money from staying at the Hilton, but I think I'll just continue to stay at the Hilton. At least at the Hilton, I'm not hit with hidden fees.
It was also pretty loud due to the walls being hella thin. Most definitely would not stay here again

We are here for an overnight stay and I must say it was very nice for a Friday night. The art on the walls (Bowie and Hendrix) Caught my eye eye away. It has a pop of color and abstract lines as well.
The room was clean and again a pop of color, PURPLE! Does PRINCE own this place?! I though it was nice. They have Direct TV in the room, plenty of HBO channels not just 2.
The rooftop bar has happy hour and plenty of seating, the only thing missing was some chill music or a DJ to get more people up there. But over all it was enjoyable watching the sunset. Keep in mind the hotel only has about 60

Giving the hotel 3 stars review because the staff that helped me were great, otherwise I'd recommend to go somewhere else. The three nights I was there, there were people handing out in the parking lot in their cars, playing music, shouting and smoking weed until about 5-6 AM. The rooms are dark, but opening the curtain means that anyone can just look in to your room from the "roof top" bar. I was disappointed. They returned my deposit but charged me $7.00 for something, I don't know what. I didn't use anything, touch anything and was hardly even there. Just used it to

For many years this was a classic Hollywood "shooting gallery," where junkies, hookers and pimps would gather to do their thang. Those were the good old days. This place may have gotten a major facelift and trendy name and graphics but it's as bad as ever--at over $200/night.
Had some friends stay here when they visited L.A. because it's nearby. They complained about constant noise (thin walls), shady customers and the fact they charge guests an arm and a leg for parking. So they parked on the street--and got their car VANDALIZED by some local vigilantes who didn't

Beautiful design! And a great location in between the sunset strip and Hollywood Blvd. great restaurants all over the place and plenty to do. Dan at the bar knows everything there is to know about Hollywood so ask him anything. Cool looking bar on the deck and very friendly staff that doesn't nickle and dime you to death.

Hmm, I am trying very hard to be generous and as much as I want to give it 4 stars, I stuck with 3 because it was really just an OK experience.
You get what you pay for with this hotel, so don't expect anything fancy or any extras. It is what it is. We got checked in and the people at the front desk are really nice and accommodating. 5 stars for the service; I will give them that. All you need to do is pick up keys and get into your room. Easy.
Our room was really cute, but we had a couple "incidences" with it. For starters, they are very stingy with towels. We don't need
