Columbia House Guest House
Our guests choose the Columbia House as their Cape May vacation destination for many different reasons. Our guests enjoy the antique-filled rooms and the historic settings typically found at a Select Registry B&B, but desire more private areas in which to relax and enjoy their vacation. Our suites allow them the flexibility to "sleep in" and enjoy leisurely, unplanned mornings.

Many of our guests who are vacationing with their children are accustomed to Victorian B&Bs and would like their well-mannered families to share a similar type of experience. Our guests have discovered that they do not need to compromise luxury for history. They wish to vacation with all the conveniences found in modern hotels, but prefer more spacious accommodations that are warm and welcoming to enhance their experience of Victorian Cape May.
Services
The Parlor Suite, formed by the original two parlors of the Columbia House, is located on the first floor. It is truly one of the most elegant suites in Cape May. The Parlor Suite showcases its original mantel with a cozy gas fireplace, velvet empire couch, and stained glass windows. A king bed with a seven foot high, burled mahogany headboard dominates the bedroom, while the custom wall medallion highlights the marble walk-in shower.
The Columbia House will be closed from 11/1/21 thru 4/30/22. Thanks to all of our guests for visiting in 2021 and we look forward to seeing you again next year! Over the past two years, Cape May has been one of the top vacation destinations. During the summer season (Mid-June to Labor Day Weekend), all of our suites are available as WEEKLY rentals only.
Follow the Garden State Parkway to Exit 0 (Zero) and follow Route 109 South over the bridge into Cape May. Route 109 becomes Lafayette Street. Proceed straight ahead to the second traffic light and turn left onto Ocean Street. The Columbia House is on the corner of Ocean Street and Columbia Ave. Crossing either the Benjamin Franklin or Walt Whitman bridges, go to Route 676 South.
