Tl:dr awful staff who lie and provide conflicting information. They do not care about their customers in the slightest. After speaking with a manager and acquiring the name of the staff who provided the details regarding the parking, she chose not to honor the quoted rate or offer any sort of apology or concession. Appalling treating of clients.

Small beach front hotel towards the outskirts of the main PB walkway... close enough to all of the action but far enough so you can still get a good nights sleep without a lot of outside noise lol. Rooms are clean with hardwood flooring and shelving to hold your clothes, shoes, and suitcases.. not necessarily a closet but it works just fine. The bedding was clean and the mattress was reaaaally comfortable! Staff wss as very nice and accommodating as well. My parents and I loved it, and hopefully we'll be back

This is a two star motel. Afternoon clerk was rude and had a fit that we tried to check in 5 minutes early. “The room needs to be specially cleaned because of Covid, you know all that extra sand”???? What??? Anyway the floor was sandy, and the base of the lamps were very dusty. We don’t go to the beach, we just look at it, so it wasn’t us. We also had to sleep with a towel over our eyes because the lights outside at night are so very bright and the inside shades have a gap around them so the room is very bright at night. Location is fabulous, morning clerks are pleasant. OH YEAH….don’t

Stayed here over the weekend. It is a good option in PB, probably the best behind Tower23.

It’s super convenient location. Highly recommend the drift cafe which is right behind the inn. Along with restaurants along the boardwalk, and the street. Huge plus is it’s right on the ocean. Perfect view. We also had great customer service from Luis. Super nice and helpful. The only “downside” is that the wording for the website can be deceiving. We got an “ocean view” room and we thought we would have a window looking out. But no 😅 we open the door and have an ocean view that way. This place is WAY nicer than I had expected. 4 stars only because the parking is a CHALLENGE. Otherwise hotel was comfy, it's got a very small bathroom, but otherwise it's a great place to stay. Staff was very attentive and wonderful. I do recommend this place if your looking for a a quaint little place to stay.

Room 214 was quite small, bathroom very small, no parking, elevator or ice machine and totally worth it!
Very quaint and right at the beach in PB. Big TV, refrigerator, good water pressure in shower, comfy bed, walk to a ton of bars, breakfast, tacos, coffee... everything! Wake up to the breeze off the water.

Upon arrival, we were told our room would be ready soon (approx. 1pm) and we could check in early for a few of $25. I found that odd that the room was just sitting there clean, and we had to pay an additional amount to enter it 2 hours prior to our check in, but we did since we were exhausted from our drive.

This is only getting two stars for the location! Other than that I was extremely dissatisfied with my stay here. I booked a DOUBLE room via Booking.com-never have I ever had any issues when booking through that site. I call ahead to ask if there was a possibility of an early check in which I was told my room was actually ready and there would be a $10 fee per hour before the actual check in time, seeing that I would be checking Iin approx 1-2pm I didn't see $20-$30 a big deal. I arrive to find out that not only did I not get a double bed but that we got a king, wheelchair accessible room,

I loved loved the location of this place!! Love the updated rooms! The employees are soooo friendly and helpful and go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need for your stay! So walkable to so many great restaurants too! Nice and renovated place and nice staff but that's it !.. don't waste your money no over night staff ! No pool no ice machine . All they give you is a super thin sheet to sleep in . Not worth it and if you get a room on the bottom floor good luck trying to sleep all you hear is the top floor foot stomps all night would not recommend. One of my worst experiences

I absolutely LOVED this place! I decided on a last minute stay-cation and was able to book a room the same day I was arriving. Luis helped me book my stay and he was an absolute gem! Made my booking experience so easy and worry-free. My room was very clean and clearly newly renovated. The location above anything is worth another stay. It is right on the Pacific Beach boardwalk and steps away from Crystal Pier. I was able to walk to many of the restaurants, shops nearby and of course the beach. Hoping to visit again soon and stay at this beautiful place!

Mike and Paul were great and accommodating. The location is awesome. It is a great, clean, renovated room. It is particularly great if you plan to be outside at the beach. Bed was comfortable. My only complaint was that the room I had, had small windows so no view and little light. I thought the patio seating was private but it was shared with adjacent room. Otherwise, great deal and great location.

Unfriendly staff. Dirty and sandy room. Tv did not work. No parking for guests only street parking. Worst of all there were COCKROACHES in the room!!! Worst hotel I have ever stayed in in fact we had to sleep in our car because staff leaves at 9 and we couldn't get a hold of anybody else to complain. Either way I'm sure all their room are filthy just like ours so nothing would have made satisfied but to get my money back which I knew was not gonna happen. DO NOT BOOK HERE!

The location is prime!! Neil, the FOM, was on the ball- friendly, helpful, laid back but not so much that things weren't taken care of, and an overall pleasure. The rooms are nicely remodeled. Beds are super comfy and the mini fridge kept the beers nice and cold. (Missed the microwave. Hopefully they'll put some in in the near future?)
Bathrooms are spacious and include nice quality soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. Not like that cheap stuff we're used to seeing. We would've liked to have had housekeeping stop by and refresh the room, but I'm sure if we asked Neil

This is my first time here and I'm in love with the place. It's newly renovated & it's super clean. Beach is right across & for the price you can't beat it. The parking sucks. But eventually you'll find a spot. I already booked my next reservation for the 4th with an ocean view. Renovations are pretty much done. Touch ups here and there but no major construction going on.

Booked a stay this morning based on a few yelp photos and some of their better reviews. Paid before hand and when i got to the actual hotel realized they were doing some renovations.
For the most part the front office was pretty nice but i'm really bothered they didn't say anything about the renovations they were doing and all the areas where you would need to walk through (especially after hours) are a huge safety hazard. There's a huge storage container out front where you would be able to see the beach from. You have to walk to the front office to get to where you would park

I'm only rating this hotel a 2 because of the location. The hotel is currently under construction in which u wish they would of told us before we booked. Half the electrical outlets didn't work, no blow dryer, no trash can in the room and the TV didn't work. 2 or the 3 windows didn't have curtains and the 1 that did, the curtain was see through. The bedding was only a sheet oh and my view was of a dumpster that could have been put on the side of the hotel and not in the front. I hope after the construction they fix all the little things but I doubt I will ever stay here again

We needed to find a hotel close to the beach and close to Oscars our favorite eatery. I called and I spoke to Josh. We made the reservation, easy no bs transaction. When we get to hotel we ending up falling in love. It was steps to pacific beach and 2 minute walk to oscars.
The customer service was hands down one of best things about our spring break vacay. Josh was very accommodating, his smile was contagious. Josh had continental breakfast for us. Bagels, pastries and coffee.
Every morning we got up and took a beautiful stroll down the beach. It couldn't of gone any better.

Stayed here for the weekend. It's a true 2 star don't expect luxury. We stayed in the ocean front queen room. Very small very dated but very clean. Friendly staff, if you plan on staying here pay for the parking ahead of time, the street parking is a joke. Breakfast is very modest cereal, pastries, packet oatmeal. But you are right in the middle of everything. The beach, restaurants, coffee shops. We only stayed here to sleep the location is perfect.
