Services
Dr. Benjamin Harwood, a lifelong Mainer, grew up in the Winthrop Lakes Region just outside of Augusta. Dr. Harwood attended the University of New England in Biddeford, ME where he received a Bachelor of Arts with a minor in medical biology. Continuing with his education at the University of New England's Portland campus, he received his degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine.

My two children and I have been going to Sacopee Valley Family Dentistry for 8 years. We’ve always had great service. From Liz at the front desk who is always very friendly and accommodating, the dental assistants Kathi and Pam who always make my girls more comfortable during procedures, and of course the dental hygienists, Suzanne, Elizabeth, and Jodi who my girls always love seeing and are extremely comfortable with. Lastly, the newest member of the team, Dr. Harwood is wonderful. He is extremely thorough, kind, gentle, and informative. This is really a top notch team that I would recommend

Friendly environment, friendly workers, dentists explain things well when you have no idea what’s going on with your teeth. And when they can’t do something for you (I need a minor surgery to get rid of overlapping gums on my molars that’s a little beyond basic dental surgeries) they’re sure to send you to the type of doctor who can help you the best :) 10 out of 10 would recommend.

When I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment the place was empty. A person appeared who stated everyone was “out to lunch “ (it was 2:00)
I then got my teeth cleaned waited 30 for my filling appointment. Then I was told it would be another 40 minutes wait to see the dr.
I said “forget it “ and rescheduled for two days later
To me this is poor poor service and consideration.

Made an appointment six months in advance and was not called for a reminder, no big deal in my calendar, called and left a message and received a call back from Liz she replied "oh I cancelled you, we have things going on and we are not in network with your insurance". However I always pay cash for my cleanings she never even looked at my records and was extremely rude. I will most definitely take my teeth somewhere else. Heaven forbid she gets put out!

Always a great experience! My hygienist and dentist are very professional, knowledgeable and do a great job making sure you understand everything and answering all questions! The front desk ladies are so welcoming and always have answers for scheduling and billing questions. Awesome awesome awesome! Highest recommendation!
