I hired CPG to manage my property when I had to move out of state for work. They were very easy to work and extremely responsive to any inquiries I had or service requests from my tenants. I always received emails back within 24 hours -- usually faster -- and they were prompt and easy to work with whenever maintenance issues came up. Highly recommend.

They couldn't provide me with any invoices for the expenditures of our building which seem ridiculously high and there are also services that I have never witnessed. I'm in the bar business so I'm home all day and never has there been a cleaning service we're being charged for or a landscaper been out to the building since we don't have grass. My dogs would let me know if someone was in the hall outside the door.

I moved out of Chicago and across the country a couple years ago and started renting out my place in Bucktown. The first year I tried to manage it myself, which technically worked out alright, although it was anything but convenient. The second year, I hired CPG to help find a tenant as well as manage the property, and all I can say is that I should've hired them sooner. I used to stress out about my rental all the time, but now I hardly think about it because I know it's in good hands.

I hired CPG to manage a building my father in-law owns in Chicago. My wife and I live out of state and the building has a lot of differed maintenance and some tenant issues. Initially we hired another management company because they were more established, TriView. After a few terrible years with them we wised up looked for a hands on management firm. Since the change our monthly Owners Statements are accurate, no fake invoices for services and maintenance is completed by competent contractors. If any of this hits home give Rusty a call.

When we moved to California from Chicago at the depth of the great recession, we didn't want to sell our 3-BR house at a loss. So we contracted with CPG to rent it and manage it for us. That decision basically made the whole thing possible for a few reasons: First, CPG's fee was totally affordable. Second, they used an awesome screening process to find three high-quality tenants over the space of six years, all of whom paid on time and took care of the house. I've enjoyed CPG Management's service for the past year I've lived in this apartment. Their online portal is easy to use and makes contacting them, and being contacted by them, a breeze. Not to mention how easy it is to pay my rent. I will say, I sometimes had maintenance requests sit around for a while and the building I'm in isn't in the best shape I've ever seen but it's certainly not the worst. Honestly, no problems so far. Surprisingly good landlords. Our apartment was in pretty good condition when we moved in. The maintenance team consistently fixed or addressed any of our issues within 24 hours.
We have never had our landlord barge in unannounced (a landlord that respects tenant law). They always send an email at least 24 hours ahead of time. You can pay rent online too, which is nice. We are definitely planning on renewing our lease for at least another year.

Very unprofessional service. The agent by the name of Brittany said she'd send me listings which she never did. I had to call her daily to get the addresses, which she never gave. All she told me was it's this building, just google it. What kind of service is that? And on top of that, she never showed up when we had made an appointment to see the apartments. Never got a call or reply from her as to why she couldn't make it. Very unprofessional and completely unacceptable. I had nothing but a bad overall experience.

Rusty is an extremely rude individual and often times sends inappropriate notices and comes up with unreasonable demands. Whilst Brandon is much more appropriate, helpful and friendly ( not sure what keeps him working with someone so different from him in demeanor and work ethic), this startup needs to be throughly revised. Very dishonest property management company. I rented a unit for close to 1.5 years. During this period, the apartment was listed for sale. The property sold. While we were set to move out at the end of February, we asked to extend our lease until April 1. Rusty checked with the new owners and said that we could only extend it until March 31, not April 1. I didn't push as I assumed that the new owners were moving in only to find out that they purchased it as an investment property. Furthermore, the new owner informed me that he told BOTH agents including Rusty that we were welcome to stay

We have used CPG to manage the lease of our condo for the past 4 years. We didn't want to be landlords, but they made the process so much easier and virtually painless. Broken appliance? It's handled. Furnace repair? Done. Renewing the lease? They're out ahead of it.
Worth noting that our tenants have been highly complimentary too. And happy tenants are tenants who stay, which means we haven't had to incur marketing fees, or have it sit empty while we look for new renters.
