Merick is prob the worst server I’ve ever had. He apologized for his poor service by offering us a round on the house and then proceeded to charge us for it. Gayle the beverage director was the saving grace of this experience. Not only was she knowledgeable about everything we inquired about, she was also personable, helpful, genuine, apologetics, and the star of the show. Her service was exceptional. The food was subpar, and multiple dishes were served cold. The dessert was probably the worst part, ranking lower than Merick’s service. It was supposed to be a chocolate bunt cake, but was less

This was the most disgraceful behavior I have experienced at a restaurant. Having seen the menu online, our daughter made a reservation, only to learn after we arrived that there was only a fixed menu. We decided to stay, and waited almost 30 minutes to be served, even though there were only three tables being used. We also had to ask FOUR times for a beer menu! My wife ordered the wine pairing, but since they tried to speed up our meal, she had THREE glasses of wine at one time in front of her. To his credit Doug, who stepped in to serve us, tried to save the situation, but we still do not understand

We were here last Sat for out holiday party and it was a strange night. Our server Merick was possibly the worst server I've ever encountered. We didn't receive our drinks until 38 minutes after we were seated. Every time we saw the server there was a different excuse why things were going wrong. The front host must have senced someting was up as she kept checking on us as well (thankfully). The beverage director was extremely pleasent and did her best to make up for what was going on. Needless to say we spent $2000 on dinner for four and it was prob my worst dining experience I've ever had. The

We went for brunch on 12/5/21. The brunch buffet used to be incredible, and something we'd look forward to every year. Their new, a la carte menu is drab and unoriginal - certainly nothing you can't get at a couple dozen other places around town. I had the corned beef hash. It was good, but there was no "wow" factor, on presentation or taste, to substantiate the nearly $20 price tag.
Our waiter was very obviously stressed, but he did a good job. I learned that Ellyngton's evidently does not care to have anyone with mixology training on-hand for brunch, because when I

Atmosphere: Superb
Wait Staff: Superb
Coffee: Superb
Blue Berry Pancakes: Superb
Eggs benedict: Rank with Denny's blah!!
PRICE: Ridiculous over $115.00 for three and no alcohol
I was amazed that there were only two tables with patrons at 9:00 in the morning. The word must be out the price and the food preparation and quality do not match. The value to the price is very poor at best.

Jerome the Host and Eric as our server was an awesome combo. Loved the ambiance of a Sunday morning brunch with LIVE jazz pianist. We had a great Mocha and Mimosas, Prime Rib Hash, Eggs Benedict & a side of pancakes. The prime rib hash is served with Colorado pork green chili. Eggs Benedict were rich & buttery. Pancakes were in the top pancakes I've ever had. Be sure to make a reservation. Visit the spa while you're there for the best massage and complimentary champagne.

Bad experience, the waitress was def not happy for us not drinking much. Plus we ordered the brisket, it was nowhere close to a brisket, just remove it from the menu! We returned the brisket right away and they didn't even bother to take it off from the bill! Other dishes were good but not to the level of $40 - I wanted Cesar salad and she said it is really the side salad!! really for $16?? The manager had offered to replace the brisket tho!

I had dinner at the Palace Arms for my birthday on Saturday, and I can say hands down it was one of the best dining experiences I've had. I was immediately greeted by their hostess Jackie, who was very attentive and gave me a choice where to sit. The atmosphere in the dining room was not only welcoming, but completely unique and professional. My waitress, Mariah, served us right away. She knew the menu front and back, offering personal suggestions, as well as detailed descriptions of food and drink.
I can't applaud their menu enough. The Divers Scallops are perfect for anyone who prefers seafood

I have to say that I was just plain disappointed. I recognized that the post covid recovery is impacting lots of industries - particularly dining so I had lenient expectations. Even with that they failed to deliver. The service was just bad - I had to regularly ask to have my water & coffee filled, to have my place cleaned up. They mislead us on our orders as well. Very disappointing.

My experience here was absolutely fantastic, the food was some of the best I’ve ever had in my life, the staff were wonderful people, I had a salad made besides my table and learned the entire history of the Cesar salad in the process and it was fascinating and funny. Not to mention how kind caring and welcoming the staff was. I truly felt at home. Beautiful place I would 100% recommended it to anyone looking for a fantastic night out.

The Palace Arms is a "must do" in Denver. The food and service are phenomenal. We were greeted and seated by Jackie. She is a Treasure. She gives you the exact right amount of social interface. Our Server was Mariah, on a scale of 1-10 She is a 20! Her suggestions of food and beverage provided us with the tight insight to order the most delicious dinner you can imagine. For appetizers we ordered the Mushroom Tart and the Caviared Eggs. The plating and taste were awesome. For the entree we ordered the Scallops and the Duck Breast, again it was awesome. We paired the Big Table Farm Pinot served in

Before COVID, we had numerous special experiences as Sunday champagne buffet brunch here.
So it's still an elegant setting, and the band was, as always, marvelous.
It was made very clear that this would be plate service, not buffet. This is the (waning) period of COVID-19, so I expected and accepted a dialing down of things with the (temporary?) suspension of buffet here. This was ... not that good.
From the web advert, and how I expected things to go, it would be a "Yes, it's effectively a buffet of items, but that basically means someone will need to go to the kitchen to get

Well, the dining room and hotel in which it is housed are beautiful. The food was okay. I liked the hollandaise sauce on my eggs Benedict. The coffee was pretty good. Service was good. There isn't a lot of substance to the eggs Benedict dish (although, I had just opted for fruit.....it may have been more plentiful to have chosen the potatoes.) I put my fruit dish on the plate to make the eggs look a little less lonely in the photo, but I think they really could have garnished that plate with some greens or something to jazz it up a bit. It's not a cheap breakfast, but I think you pay

We came for Sunday brunch and had a mixed experience. The location and ambience here is great as it's a beautiful dining area with live music, etc. However, 35 minutes passed and a waiter had still not visited our table. Someone finally came to get our order and they were brusque/rude and not apologetic at all. We had different people stopping by the entire time. I believe our table was totally forgotten. People that arrived much later than us received their food a lot sooner. The service very strange and disappointing considering the upscale atmosphere.

Meh. Nice dining room, great waitstaff, good brewed coffee... but prices and food quality are not in balance.
Buttermilk pancakes are not supposed to be that sour; they're supposed to have a pleasant bite and buttery flavor to them, not taste like someone used milk curdled with a lot of lemon juice...

We came here for Sunday brunch, and everything is amazing. The food is perfect, the service is warm and professional, and the building is a beautiful piece of history. We were lucky to be seated next to Mr. Danny Showers, a consummate pianist who plays during brunch, and a complete sweetheart. Every aspect of this meal and place was incredible. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars! We will definitely be back. This was definitely an elevated experience in every way.

One of the best moments to remember from this experience is the service. You cannot beat the service at the Brown Palace overall and Ellington's is no exception. My husband and I had brunch here after staying at the hotel overnight. We both had the ham and cheese omelet. The eggs were very fluffy and the omelet was delicious. The potatoes have a great flavor and are a great accompaniment to the omelet. The only reason I give this restaurant less than 5 stars is the areas of the restaurant that we noticed need attention... some areas need more cleaning detail and are looking quite worn. You

My girlfriends and I (B*tches that brunch Denver) get together each month and have brunch at a different restaurant. We wanted to kick off the year with an amazing brunch, get dressed up and enjoying some nice champagne. We made reservations in August for January. A few weeks before our brunch a few more girls wanted to join. They were coming in from out of town. I called to add them to the reservation. The lady on the phone, I believe it was the GM, was super helpful and offered an adjacent table to ours so that we can all sit together. Thank you!

Such a fun spot to grab lunch! The location is unbeatable, you can feel the history The Brown Palace has, and that in itself adds to a unique dining experience. The staff at Ellyngton's is always super attentive and kind. I ordered the salmon which was cooked perfectly, however the sides that accompanied it were a bit too citrusy for me but I still enjoyed the meal overall. I do hope to return to give their their dessert a try as the ones I saw while I was there looked amazing!

This is a classic hotel restaurant kind of dining experience. The jazz and classical music set the tone and if these walls could talk who knows what they'd gossip about. The clientele most match the wallpaper and are classic people who read newspapers during breakfast and eat their boiled eggs in a little tiny egg cup (doesn't really get served for breakfast but that's how I imagine it).
The food was good but we only had a very fulfilling breakfast here of a large fruit plate (fresh except the melons) and omelettes. I would say the price is probably not right for most people. It

Really a special experience in Denver. I never miss.
We went for brunch and it was magical. The food was the best brunch food we've had in a long time. Egg dishes that blew our minds. Drinkable chocolate, exceptional carving station and if you're like me, the champagne flowed all morning. Never did I feel like I was looking for my waiter to fill my glass.
Dare I say that I would go to the hotel just to have brunch and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah.

If you want to splurge on a brunch, Ellyngton's is the place! Our server, Sean, was hilarious and attentive, and the champagne is actually champagne and delicious.
There's an ice sculpture and a chocolate fountain, and about a zillion options, but what they had in quantity wasn't always matched by quality. The baked goods were inedible, the oysters (which, Colorado, should have known) were awful, and the sushi was meh.The pancakes are made to order (chocolate chips!) as are be omelets, and the dessert selection is great!
All in all, I think they could really be great at fewer things

You're probably not going to find a more expensive Sunday brunch buffet than this one. But you're probably not going to find one that includes the usual omelet station PLUS prime rib, large shrimp, sushi and a raw bar, a dual chocolate station (white and milk), a massive dessert bar and lots of cheese.
I really enjoyed my brunch today but yeah, spendy. It's definitely upscale dining and you will appear out of place in shorts tshirt and ballcap.
Service was absolutely excellent. And you'll want to book ahead. I lucked out. Other people had an hour wait.
