Great value for a huge breakfast. French toasts are delicious, and that omelette with ham and Swiss cheese was just delicious. Them two dishes + coffee for not even 16$. Very nice lady taking the orders. Quiet and private space. ❤️ Will definetely come back and recommend to all my flight attendant colleagues.

Went here for breakfast, walked in and waited to be seated. After standing there for about 3 minutes a waitress finally walks out of the back, scowls at us, and then says she'll be right with us. Food was good, not too pricey for downtown Seattle, and overall the place wasn't too loud. The only downside was the waitress, who acted like she would rather be doing anything else than serving food, but since she was the only person we interacted with it left a negative impression overall. She also didn't give me a copy of the receipt, and I knew better than to ask, so I had to take a picture of the

I was a bit hesitant on going here due to the reviews online, but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered their Reuben sandwich with fries, and it was one of the best Reuben's that I've had for a while, for the low low price of less than $7. Service was decent also, since we went with a bigger group of 7 people, she took names down and split up the check for us. No complaints, good service. Highly recommend the location!

Bernard's is like walking to another era. It looks like someone's basement from the 1970s. Half of the items on the menu were unavailable and after ordering, my friend had to place her order again because the kitchen lacked ingredients. My meal wasn't well prepared. The only reason I can see someone enjoying this place is if they want privacy or they're being nostalgic for former days.

Drinks are always great! Don't let the other reviews fool you, this place is a gem! If you understand that there's only one bartender and waiting at the bar for service is a must, then you'll be pleased to get some delicious, strong cocktails...and you can get a martini for $4.50 during HH and a whiskey shot for $2.50! If you are looking for an intimate happy hour, this is the place!

Went in this place twice for breakfast upon recommendation of the concierge at the hotel where I was staying (which is the hotel above the restaurant, obviously). I had both the scrambled eggs on the croissant (quite greasy) and the poached eggs with hash brown (good but don't order with ham, is the lowest quality). Coffee is americano (forget about espresso or cappuccino).
The relationship food /price is good, a breakfast for two people including coffee was around 15$.
Recommended if you have a low budget and don't care about the service (the waitress is quite rude).

Located in the underground of the Hotel Seattle, this is one of the last real bars left downtown.
No glitz, no pretense, just a quality establishment with genuine people behind the bar.
It was once a very swanky place, seen in the wood paneling and beams, but is a little thread bare these days.
But I love that.
It is what gives this place it's charm and character.
Being in the underground, there's no windows or daylight, but don't let that stop you from visiting.
Full bar, decent food, unique environment, and all below standard Seattle prices.
Definitely one of my favorites in the area.
