Services
Crown jewel of farthest, most left corner of the country, Seattle has a long and fabled history of doing things its own way. As one of Seattle's most historic and iconic hotels, Hotel Sorrento has been part of that history from the city's earliest days.

When we opened our doors in 1909, our first guests were the anxious prospectors, cagey entrepreneurs and curious tourists who attended the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition, which was pretty much the first time anyone outside the Northwest had ever heard of Seattle.
Designed to be a vibrant and unexpected experience in the heart of Seattle, where local culture and community are celebrated and every comfort has been carefully considered, Hotel Sorrento is a place for travelers who are excited by new people, places and experiences. Each of the 76 rooms and suites at the hotel features the building's original 1909 details like carved wood moldings, vintage furnishings and one-of-a-kind artwork.
A hotel for the culturally curious, the Sorrento is a respite for travelers who seek a deeper, more authentic connection to Seattle's history, attractions and one-of-kind experiences. Our location on First Hill, near downtown landmarks ranging from Seattle Mariners stadium to the Space Needle, The Great Wheel and The Waterfront, offers a dynamic gateway to memorable experiences.
Embodying elegance and romance since 1909, we at Hotel Sorrento, Seattle's premier boutique hotel and crown jewel of the Pacific Northwest, have spent 111 years creating timeless wedding, elopement, and engagement memories for our guests. Hotel Sorrento provides personalized attention to ensure your wedding celebrations are executed flawlessly.
Hotel Sorrento strives to connect both travelers and the local community with Seattle's vibrant past and present by combining timeless, century-old character and charm with the modern luxuries of today. We are Seattle's quintessential hotel - a destination where every amenity has been meticulously chosen and attentive service ensures that every guest feels well taken care of.

Most awesome staff I've ever encountered. Great location especially for hospital visits. It is a vintage hotel but we found the room clean and very comfortable and well equipped. Beds were super comfortable. Will certainly keep it as a go to place.

I stayed here one night during the snow storm in Seattle between shifts at a nearby hospital. I was looking forward to a relaxing and pleasant night and a good night's rest, as I wasn't able to get home because of the snow. Front desk staff was lovely. However, I had some issues with my stay. The bed was missing a bottom sheet, gross! And there were hairs from a previous guest in the shower. Also, my room was very very loud. I don't usually have a hard time sleeping through noise but this was bizarre. The guests in the room next door came home late and were screaming and making

Attended a wedding dinner in the penthouse. Food was amazing. Some of the best food I've ever had in Seattle. Staff was really friendly. Strange mix of decor (old, new, modern, kitsch) but comfortable.Views from balcony were beautiful. Valet parking was nice and everything was great.

This hotel is a piece of Seattle history. From the exterior to the decor, it overflows with early 20th Century style of living. Despite the long existence, the hotel is very well kept; things expected be working were in good shape while keeping the vintage look.
Note, the curtains in my room did not close all the way, and the windows were not insulated, so at night the room was a bit bright from the city light accompanied with momentary sirens and engine rumbles. I did not have trouble falling asleep because the was very comfortable, but this may trouble you. I do hope they can improve the room

This was the first time in the area and I chose Hotel Sorrento based on location and photos... In the end, it was just ok.

The best part of our stay was the valet - he was attentive, and helpful when I needed directions to a local pharmacy. Once we walked into the lobby to check in, the 2 staff members at the front desk seemed bored and really casual. There wasn't a warm welcome which set the tone for our stay.

Walking down the hallway to our room, I noticed that the walls were dirty and the carpet needed replacing. The beds were comfortable but the bathroom needed a fan (after taking a

Our family stay here often due to our son being ill and in the hospital nearby. We have been coming for years and these people are just wonderful! I wrote out a long review and then it disappeared. In short, you just can't find better people or atmosphere. Excellent location, best valet parking and quiet. Truly the best in Seattle. Thank you for always making us feel like family and for helping us feel less stress during this difficult time. We have sent many family and friends your way over the years!

This place is funky and has a weird cool vibe and I dig that a lot. They were able to do a last minute booking this weekend for my wife and I which saved our anniversary after another hotel double booked us!
The king suite was awesome and comfortable, The room service breakfast was delicious, and the bar is beautiful
Also, the water pressure in the shower is amazing.
Jess and the other staff we engaged with were awesome in changing the whole vibe of our day. Excellent customer service!

This is my favorite hotel in Seattle. It has beautiful architecture facing the outdoor courtyard. The lobby has nice dark wood paneling. The bar has comfy chairs with a fireplace. The rooms all have cool vintage furniture. The staff repeatedly goes above and beyond to be helpful.

Hotel Sorrento is one of the older hotels in Seattle closer to Capital Hill. It's known for its architecture, ambience and haunted room. The staff here is always really nice and helpful. The rooms are a bit smaller since it's an older hotel, but the lobby is a really cool place to hang out. They have a nice restaurant type area outside in the front and the bar inside. They do many events here like weddings and birthdays.

This stunning hotel and exemplary service was one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we're greeted with a warm cup of tea, a small bouquet of flowers with our room key till we had to leave the following day we could not speak any higher of the surroundings and staff. The attention to detail was immaculate!

We had an amazing experience at the Hotel Sorrento for my sister's wedding in late June. Most of the guests had booked rooms in the hotel and the reception was held in their penthouse space with a patio. We also had a morning-after brunch in their bar/lounge space on the first floor. It was the most dreamy setting. The attentiveness of each staff member was incredible. Every bit of food and drink consumed was so tasty and thoughtfully presented. The beauty of the setting, quality of the space and food, and service from the staff just added that degree of sparkle and glamour that made us feel

We loved our stay at Hotel Sorrento! We originally booked a room for my birthday, but ended up staying another night. I accidentally booked a queen and since they were sold out of the double queen rooms, they upgraded us to a queen suite because we were celebrating.
We love to stay in unique hotels with personality when we travel, but sometimes that means sacrificing comfortability and warmth. This hotel has all three! We loved the lobby, the fireplace, the bar, and restaurant/patio. The room was perfect for three of us and we didn't feel cramped. It was really quiet and we didn't hear

The service was exceptional. Everyone from the valet, front desk, and restaurant staff proved their willingness to accommodate our needs, and did so with professionalism and kindness. They truly went above and beyond for me and my family (6 of us stayed there). We are so grateful and when we stay in Seattle again, this will be our first choice of venue to stay.

The staff is very friendly and this place is so charming and cozy. Their food for room service is really great mom. Better than most! We always love staying here. They also offer a discount for medical stays if you are here for medical care through certain hospitals. I have stayed here for pleasure as well as to recover from surgery and it was just wonderful each time.

Hotel was nice. We were in town for a surgical procedure at Virginia Mason, and we decided to stay here because of the short walk over to the hospital.
We stayed at the hotel for 4 days. It would have been nice to have a coffee pot and microwave in the room. There is a mini fridge.
Our curtains were way too short and not wide enough, so we felt pretty exposed in our room. We ended up getting an extra blanket and hanging it over the window. Even blinds would have been good.
The website says that because of Covid the guest rooms would only be cleaned every other day. In the 4 days we were there

The service and employees were very nice and accommodating but the hotel itself is nice for an old look aesthetically but needs some serious renovation. The heater/ac was so old.. didn't even work, the phone didn't connect to front desk or any service to contact anyone, and there's not parking anywhere and also $50 for the night to valet your car. I'll try Airbnb next time...

This review is for Sorrento's brunch with live jazz and yoga on weekends. I have to say I was impressed by the concept of community yoga (free) and a classy brunch with a live singer to follow. Plenty of street parking, the hotel itself is beautiful and historic. They did a fabulous job preserving the old-time charm while adding some whimsy to the rooms (think monkey wallpaper). The yoga instructor was amazing however there were probably 50+ people squeezing into the room, literally mat to mat. We must have exceeded the capacity for sure. Brunch was lovely, the singer was super talented

Oh my goodness, Sorrento -- what happened?

I was so excited to visit -- have raved about the hotel for years -- and so brought my partner for a special long weekend away. I don't know whether it's because we ended up booking via Hotel Tonight and so got the worst room in the hotel, but it was nothing like the rooms I've stayed in in the past.

The bed was VERY uncomfortable; the heating/cooling system is a wall unit from a 1960s Howard Johnson's (see photos). Even with the window open slightly (only because we were on a high floor and these aren't safety windows because

My home away from home hotel in Seattle. Each time I arrive I feel like I am in a warm space with people that care about me, not a conference hotel. I can't count the number is people who have made my stays enjoyable, but Shannon is like a bff, friends at the front desk and bar tonight included Linda, nujmita ( sorry if I got the spelling wrong!) and Evan at the bar. Tonight was great. - arriving after a long day and feeling welcomed and at home -- Nothing better.
