Ancient Arts Family Karate/Ju-Jitsu Academy offers the authentic "old school" multi-discipline form of martial arts. We create Superheroes! We teach LIFE SKILLS for Men, Women and Children which not only provide body fitness and self defense, but also fitness of the mind which is derived from self respect for oneself and others.
We are not a multi-school or franchise. Owner / Operator, Don Isaak, teaches all classes! We do not have a technique of the week. We concentrate on "Fun"damentals and teach a core system. Karate/Ju-Jitsu are 3 things. Art (a beautiful talent), Sport (competition if one wants) and Science (Physics, Newtonian Principles and Biomechanical Movements).

We enrolled our son in this gym almost a year ago and for awhile things were going great but then as of Monday the attitude changed completely towards us. We informed the teacher that we were moving out of Wake County and he proceeded to call us liars and trust me we are moving. I can described the differences between businesses, my daughters gym was so understanding and offered us a recommendation and then this guy called us a liar. Yes there are a lot of positive reviews and that’s what I went off on but consider the negative reviews because they are very true. He is definitely money hungry

What an amazing karate dojo! Shihan insistently teaches every class to instill the ancient art of Okinawan Shuri Ryu. No games or prizes given. Advancement is only earned. Great experience for my son and couldn’t imagine a better dojo.

I give this place 5 stars, I've been taking my son here for a few months now and this is a true Karate studio, it really helped my son a lot! There is a great atmosphere and everyone helps each other. This school also teaches the kids to respect there parents as part of there training! But most important the instructor is awesome with a heart of gold, he truly cares for the kids and the community and that's something hard to find.
Everyone should give this place a try.

My son loves going to his Karate Class. Shihan Don is not your regular Karate Teacher. If you want your child to learn and at the same time get the discipline to be better person, please enroll your child here. Kids in his class are being prepared not only to be physically fit but mentally tough & flexible.

My son has been going to Ancient Arts Karate Academy for more than 2 years and we are happy with our positive experience. Shihan Don Isaak is talented and loves to motivate students to give their best to Karate training in class and home. He is great coach and makes Karate fun and engaging activity for his students. He puts consistent effort and time to teach different Karate skills to enrich their learning and overall growth. Shihan Don Isaak is super friendly and bonds well with parents and children. He makes time to ask and listen to customer feedback. Ancient Arts Karate Academy is always clean

Our son loves his Karate classes. I have seen other Karate classes in the area. They maybe good but they have a lot of young junior trainers who coach the kids. Here all levels are taught by the main Shihan. I am hoping our son gains more self confidence and discipline with the Karate classes. We certainly see him continuing this for a while.

My 5 YO has been going to Ancient Arts for 3 months now and he loves it. I like the way Mr. Shihan teaches these young kids. They enjoy and learn at the same time. In addition to teaching karate, he also teaches good values which is a plus. My kid likes the class so much, he wants to go there everyday. Best part is that he teaches all his classes himself. I can clearly feel my kid is more confident now. As compared to other schools, even the pricing is reasonable and it’s worth every penny I am spending on the class. We had started with a 6 months contract but looking at my son’s progress,
