My mom took me here for my farewell dinner before I move and I was upset because by the end of it, it’s my favorite restaurant found too late! The quality, service and atmosphere were all outstanding. It’s just the right size for them to make you feel like actual guests. Ya know the kind of service where you feel so at ease you actually remember your servers name is Nico and next time you’ll ask about his family because he took such good care of you. There’s the cutest waitress who has a “fresh fish joke of the day”. Not to mention I love sushi and this was the best id ever had. It

Overall it was a great experience. From the miso soup to the hamachi carpaccio it was all great. The food was delicious. I'd say the hamachi carpaccio was a must for sure. The waitress had the best attitude and even charmed us with a fish joke or two. We had a reservation. My vaccination card was checked at the door for the health and safety of the employees and others (including booster).

While on a business trip to Maui, we grabbed some sushi here at the recommendation of fellow yelpers. I am glad we did!
For dinner I grabbed a Chirashi Sushi, in honor of my spouse. It was absolutely delicious and fresh. For a drink, I tried one of their cocktails (unfortunately, I don't remember the name nor can I find it on their menu now).
Our waitress was very friendly and kind. Our table was a little small, even though it was only two of us. The dine-in is pretty small anyways and I can see how they are trying to maximize their capacity.
All-in-all, it was pretty great.

1/17-22 My Co-Worker and I were looking for a good place to have dinner, I was craving fish, so we ended up finding this place. The guy at the front (host) was friendly and professional to all guest, great charisma...
Our Server was also light and funny, she laughed with us, and even took all my quirky jokes in stride.
The food, omg where to start? Excellent? Or Amazing? - I don't wanna hype it too much, so I guess you just gotta go see for yourself.

This place looks like any other typical sushi spot. We were actually not expecting much but wanted to try. The host up front was such a nice and calm person. There were some irritate and super rude customers waiting since the line was long and he still maintained a professional nice presence. That was impressive because the customer was extremely rude. We got inside and were pretty hungry so we ordered a lot. We got:

The Wandering Poet Rihaku would have stopped his walk-about ways if he ate here for his sushi. I happened to catch the tuna special (akimi+tutoro+otoro) and it was bliss in Nigiri. FYI - the Rihaku sake is fantastic (the man new his poetry inspiration). Come and enjoy! Aloha!

Our No.1 go to for sushi when in Maui!
Always great, never disappointing but expect a short wait to get in. It's worth it, trust me!
Try their Rock and Roll! It has this unique lightly Smokey taste to it, very unusual and very yummy!
We came in twice on our last visit, once on a Wednesday, then again on Sunday.
Wednesday service was exceptional, Sundays service had totally different staff and it was ok!

I highly encourage stopping by during an off time/day. We arrived at 3:00 pm on a Tuesday and were immediately sat. (We had just finished a helicopter tour and we're looking for a little snack to hold us over until our dinner reservation at 8pm) Fortunately their happy hour starts at 3:00 pm! It's a pretty sweet deal, $1 off beer/wine and 15% off all food items!
We started with the TNT roll, probably my favorite! Loved the flavor combination and freshness of the ahi that topped the roll.

I love the name of this restaurant! More than that, I love the sushi rolls here and they make the best tasting Miso Butter Fish on Maui.
We have been coming here for a few years and I don't know why I haven't posted a review yet. I'm lagging!
The staff here is excellent. They are friendly, quick and give great customer service. The place is small, only 4 tables and a sushi bar that only seats 2 people on each end because of social distancing.

We arrived without reservations on a Monday night and they seated us almost immediately at the counter which we didn't mind. The servers were super attentive and nice. We order a mix of MP fish, mostly nigiri and a special roll. The fish really stood out to us the most. Their salmon was actually buttery, scallop was really sweet and uni was very creamy. The toro wasn't bad but not as buttery as we expected, still good tho.
The food was good and wasn't too expensive. Pretty solid sushi spot on the island imo

I ordered a salmon poke bowl To-Go. At the time I placed the order I specifically asked 'what comes on it?' The waitress stated a special poke sauce, avocado, green onions, cucumber. She did not mention fish eggs. When I received the order the top was covered with red fish eggs. I requested for the order be remade. When I got back to my hotel (20 minutes away) to sit down and enjoy the food what do I see??????? FISH EGGS. They made a bad attempt to scrape the ingredient off. Disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor customer service and the deceit to Camouflage the order lands

OMG… There is no word to describe how amazing this place is. The staff are really friendly, the place is really clean and the food is delicious.
I’ve had sushi a lot but this is something that I would never ever forget the taste.
We got TNT, combo A and spicy salmon. They were all delicious but my favorite was TNT.

It was a good enough sushi restaurant! Came to Maui expecting lots of great quality sushi but the reality was all grilled sushi for some reason, which was very disappointing to me who love sushi. But finally ate "sushi" at Maui haha There are only 4 tables at the store so wait is kind of crazy, so we did togo instead and togo packaging was okay like the picture. Price was kind of high for each roll.. not sure if this is a local Japanese sushi restaurant or Maui-exclusive restaurant in that sense, but thinking of Maui being expensive everywhere, it's reasonable. It isn't a gourmet high-top sushi

Heard about this place on the food network channel and made it a "go to" stop while on vacation. I feel like I was all hyped up about it and maybe that's why I was a little let down. Definitely great sushi, but where I'm from there are sushi spots on every corner so I feel a little more picky.
Fortunately for us (party of 4) we must've gotten there at the exact right time and were brought in and seated immediately. Unfortunately the server forgot to put in our orders so we waited about an hour or so before we got our food. No hard feelings- we were sipping cold drinks

UNREAL SUSHI. Honestly so good and so worth it. I eat a lot of sushi and I don't always make noises as it hits my mouth but Miso Phat was soooo good. Fish is so fresh and the combination in the speciality rolls just blows you away. It's saucy, it's fresh fish, it's crunchy. SO. FRKN. GOOD.
The rolls feel pricey but we were full off just 2 special rolls and a spicy hamachi roll. If you can, it's worth it and you should try it.
We ordered take out around 7:30pm and our food was ready in 15 minutes even though there was a huge line up of people outside and a full restaurant

Miso Phat made it onto my bookmarks list for Maui because of the pictures of Uni that I saw. It felt like THIS was the place to get Uni.
We ordered a bunch of things and had a bit of sticker shock at the bill. This better be good, we thought. Well, while it was fine sushi, it was nothing special or beyond anything we could get at the corner sushi shop in Los Angeles. It being Hawaii, we expected to be blown away. Don't get me wrong, it was good sushi, it just wasn't the best, especially for the wait and price.
