Ohana Seafood Bar & Grill in Kihei, Hawaii was established in 2015. Together with our director, Tracey Johnston, we are a team of experienced chefs and friendly staff dedicated to bringing you the best seafood dining experience in Maui. We refuse to compromise on quality in our restaurant. That's why we source our fresh ingredients from local farmers' markets and fisherman every chance we get.

The Ohana Seafood Bar & Grill hosted our daughter's wedding reception in October 2021. They communicated with her by phone for several months before the event. They were EXTREMELY helpful prior to and during her reception. They were friendly and attentive to her needs during the event. They made sure the band was wonderful and the food was great. We were all able to relax and thoroughly enjoy the evening. I highly recommend them for hosting events.

Live music outside lures you in but disappointment awaits when you find there are no seats & a long wait time & rude hostess and manager.
On our Fourth visit (attempting to get in), we checked in & told the bar was full too. After 20 minutes, my husband spied two gentlemen leaving the bar & got us the seats. "Yay!" The hostess confronted him & accused him of stealing the seats from the patrons (untrue & verified with her by the men leaving). So we sat & an awesome bartender gave us our drinks, the music played, we ordered food.

Went for Breakfast. Loco moco was the best one we had since coming to Maui. Which is why I give two stars....
But Came back at night to watch the live music but wouldn't serve us unless we were sitting down. but they were serving others who were standing. And serving people on the patio after they told us that was not acceptable either. Very pick and choose about who they made follow the rules. Servers were rude at night. Just wanted a beer and to watch the live music. Totally ruined our vibe.

Many restaurants are closed on Christmas Day but this one is still open, which also makes them very busy and the service is kinda slow.
The food is delicious though. The burger is still juicy even when I make it well-done, fried onion on the top and the fries at the side are also crispy. The poke has a smaller portion considering the price, but the size is right if you just want to try some Hawaii style food.

My husband and I had a really great experience here. Our server Jake was super rad and helped us to navigate the menu. I got the honey walnut shrimp and edamame and literally ordered a second round when I finished. IT WAS SO GOOD. I have food allergies and Jake was really great about making sure everything I got was prepared separately. The restaurant has tons of parking in the lot next door and a really warm, friendly vibe. Live music was actually really good too!

We popped into Ohana on a Thursday night because it was close to our condo and we didn't have dinner plans. Based on other reviews and what I was expecting, I'd say we had a fairly average experience.
As a party of 3 that came in fairly late (~8pm) we were seated almost immediately on the patio. We had a great view of the live performer, but unfortunately once she started, it was very loud for us. We're a group of young 20-somethings, so it's not like we aren't used to LOUD -- but for dinner and where we were placed, it was impossible to hear each other speaking.

Had a great late-lunch here, which featured popular Happy Hour drinks (seemed popular).
We had the 2-fish taco meal (shrimp & local catch Mahi Mahi). It’s reasonably priced & very fresh. I enjoyed the slaw & 2 different salsas on the side. (Sumptuous burgers passed by our table, too.)
Service was prompt & friendly. (thx Andrew) I appreciated the menu suggestions.
This place is busy, especially on the evenings they have live, very talented local entertainment.
Plan your visit accordingly! A must try, I think.

The sign says it has some of the best Calamari on the island so we had to check it out. The calamari is all-right, but I would have liked to come back here for the music. Happy Hour starts early and probably one of the longest ones available.
It's easy to get this one confused with Caffe Kihei because CK's breakfast line tends to wrap around, but each restaurant has its own unique personality.

This beach front restaurant in Kihei is great for brunch or dinner . Happened upon this spot while looking for breakfast - they have a good happy hour and reasonably priced meals. Their service was good and efficient. They have a band playing pretty much most nights. Maui was hurting down early due to Covid though so couldn't enjoy the band as long as we would have liked to. All the brunch plates we tried were good - the crab and pulled pork Benedict's were our favorite. They also had some Hawaiian favorites like loco moco. This spot is definitely in island time with no one rushing you

Our first time here while on vacation. It looked lovely and the music was awesome (live band) and so we jumped in and tried it out. Our waiter was nice and accommodating. Good was super fast so be ready to eat after ordering. Most the appetizers were yummy. (Crab cakes, coconut shrimp, grilled shrimp). The calamari and the fried tempura sushi wasn't good.. but everything else was just great .
Loved the happy hour. It's $5 OFF.. we misheard and thought it was $5 appetizers lol. Nice casual place to eat. Can't go wrong.

Great little locals restaurant with good food and service.
Husband ordered the fish and chips and it was perfect. Massive amount of fish, enough to feed two people.
I had the stir fry vegetables and rice. It was was sautéed in a pleasant tasting sauce with a mountain of rice in center. Which had sweet thin layer of sauce on top, made for a great combo.
The lunch was very reasonable on the pocketbook.
The woman who waited on us was very friendly and a great server.
It's located near the beach in this little Hawaiian town.

This is a great open air place to relax during happy hour! Great margaritas and mai tais! Servers were very sweet and helpful. If you are looking for a traditional calamari, this is not for you. If you are looking for a delicious calamari, this is the place! It is flavored and yummy! The kalua pork spring rolls are to die for!!!

Had the catch of the day (Mahi-Mahi)x3, tempura shrimp, Hawaii burger. The Mai-tai were..ok. The burger was outstanding. Fries ick. The shrimp was good. The Mahi-Mahi was underwhelming, kinda bland. Overall the food was just ok. For a family there are better places to go for the price. Considering the other reviews I was expecting better.

Hostess was super nice and on it, very cute and helpful with our young Daughters. Atmosphere was very chill and beach-bar like. We sat on the covered deck part and could see some ocean and catch a little breeze.
The food was good and priced fairly, same with the drinks. They had some live music getting set up as we were leaving which looked like it was going to be fun. Our waiter might have had an off night, he just wasn't on point it seemed like, but got the job done.

Cool happy hour and live music. This review is only based on that. We didn't eat here because nothing on the menu stood out to use esp for the price. They have $5 mai tais from 2-6pm, I think that's the start time. They have tvs by the bar if you're looking for some sports games. All the staff are friendly and prompt. We ordered their calamari which was delicious. They had other stuff in it that added much more flavor and texture, I don't remember what it was.
Great place to bypass time if you're waiting for another restaurant or just for a quick cocktail hour.

We had to take out because our daughter got foot accident. We ordered only calamari and volcano roll, and what we got was a VERY nice service from staff with the VERY delicious food. If you don't try Fried Calamari and volcano roll, you will miss the flavorsome cuisine. We are pretty sure that we will dine in next time. LOVE your SERVICE and FOOD!!! 👍🏻😄

Stopped by for dinner as this was the only place nearby that was open late in the evening. It was pretty lively, with loud music and many parties seated outside on the patio area.
In terms of the food, we weren't super impressed. We ordered the poke sampler, fish tacos, and crab cakes. The poke sampler and fish tacos were pretty mediocre in my opinion, although we did enjoy their mango salsa that came with the chips from the fish tacos. The one dish I enjoyed was their crab cakes, although not sure if it's also because of the mango salsa that was on top.
