What a mess!!! Using a horrible app where you have to order yourself, paid...the server came twice at the most because we had questions. We struggled ordering virgin drinks or if we had to modify the food. Then when we wanted to reorder it never went through and we waited so long. The server? GONE! After several minutes I waived at another server and she said she'll be back and only paid attention to her tables. Don't understand how these people get tips. The food was beyond average. Cold, unseasoned and tasteless.

Great brews and typical bar food options. My first time trying any of their brews and went there during their happy hour. You order at the bar and runner bring the food to you. There is no traditional wait staff just place your food orders at the bar. The place is good to unwind and throw back a few pints.

We visited Maui Brewing multiple times on our vacation. We loved the beer selections, the swag items, and most of the food. The guava pulled pork sliders are to die for! The only thing we would pass on again are the chicken wings - ours were splintering and falling apart, and my fiancé had a feather in his.
All in all we will absolutely be back and will recommend it, too.

Very disappointed in the lack of service and staff at this site. They are using an app for people to place food orders. Same app charged me a tip way after the fact like 8 hours, even though I left a cash tip. Poor management having fewer staff, was never able to get a refill because only two wait staff for entire restaurant. Never going back again.

This will be the last time this place gets my business until they make some changes.
First, the good. The service that was offered was excellent. Our server essentially got the chef to make something no longer on the menu- grilled fish tacos, rather than the battered and fried fish they are serving now.
The happy hour prices are actually pretty darn good. And most of the food was spot on.
The not so good. There is little service on offer. You order through a website after scanning a QR code at the table. You might see your server twice, once to make sure you understand the ordering process

Perfect place to grab lunch after soaking in the sun!
There is outdoor dining which is great. You use your phone to view the menu and order which is convenient.
I ordered the veggie burger (which can generally be a hit or miss when it's not an impossible/beyond patty) but let me tell you this veggie burger was soo good. It was fresh, flavorful and every bite was enjoyable. I got a side of sriracha fries which were so good.
Their in-house cola (own brand), tasted a bit off to me and drank water instead.
My husband ordered poke which he enjoyed. PS it has cilantro in case you are one

This place has great beer on tap, I would like to try everything once at some point but I'm finding it difficult to order anything but my favorite - the Big Swell IPA, it's pretty good. The happy hour appetizers are all spot on, entree's were delicious, plenty of spacious indoor/outdoor seating, this is one of my favorite restaurants to revisit in Kailua.

Prime location for a brewery, great selection of beer! There’s usually a wait so make sure to put your name on the list and walk around the stores nearby. We ordered a beer flight and some octopus tacos (fresh local octopus). This is a popular tourist spot. The beer is great, the service was excellent but honestly you’re not missing much if you don’t have time to spot by.

Horrible lunch and service. Will not return (we live on the windward side btw). It took over 15 minutes to get water and we asked three different people. Original server never returned (she was still working when we left)? NOT BUSY or crowded.
Our meal showed before the water!
QR code ordering and pre-tip is screwing over the serve staff. Basically, I'm tipping for the waitress to bring me my food? Along, that line (as mentioned previously) our original waitress never returned, so who am I tipping? This should bother people for the mere fact, tipping is based on the service provided.

NOV 2. OPEN for lunch, but Don't GO! I have never seen such a poor way to offer lunch. Pick a table and use your phone to order everything, to tip and to pay. This is not the way to operate a restaurant. The food was good, people friendly and it's a nice place but I am not coming back till it's a real restaurant again. TOTAL MISS.

It's hard to give a place one star these days because usually even terrible places will do something right. So I'll start with what's right here: the style of ordering, the beer, the experience are all top notch. You basically line up to order and then sit were you can. This kind of informal style of seating actually works really well and keeps the tables full, assuming there's demand, of course. And there seems to be a fair amount of demand, which I'm going to chalk up to tourism, because let's face it, tourists are most willing to give a place a try and least likely

Food was decent but nothing to brag about. But customer service was a five star for a brewery! We had the sunshine beer which the server recommended. It was nice for a summer afternoon. We also had a pizza and wings for lunch which were good but not great. Would we come back? Yes! They are dog friendly and their customer service is outstanding!

I’ve gone by this place a hundred times and finally stopped to see what the hype was about. Their happy hour is wonderful- 10 dollar pizzas and super cheap apps paired perfectly with beer. We got the white pizza, nachos, and garlic fries. The pizza was amazing and made me feel like a decent person since it had kale 🤣 The nachos were simple and to the point- fresh ingredients that make more of an impression than a ton of cheap ingredients. The show stopper was those fries- I don’t care how gross I smell I will eat that amount of raw garlic until I die. Obviously the beer was pretty good as

Awesome brewery and fantastic food. Also a great place to people watch as Waikiki traffic goes by. Take the elevator unless you really like the steps. Nice open air bar with daily music. I had their wings and they were cooked to perfection. I recommend a flight or two of beer before you settle on one to sip the night away. I tried all of their own and there isn't a bad one in the bunch!

I liked this location better than the Maui Brewing in town. Service and seating were much simpler! I loved the outdoor seating, which was still adequately covered for when it rained. My pup was thrilled to get to tag along. Unfortunately, a group in front of us kept expanding so we missed happy hour as they kept swapping people out from the table to continue ordering. There were only three parties ahead of us in line but due to the group constantly changing people out instead of them all waiting their turns in line, it took us about 25 minutes to actually be able to order. There were only a few

We had a fantastic late dinner experience here. It was tough getting in...the host outside said they were no longer taking anyone else in for the night...bummer as we'd walked a ways to get her. He told us we could go up and order takeout....We chose to do that...When we got up there were plenty of empty tables available in the multiple dining spaces they have. (You order at the counter and then take a seat with a number.) Just to double check we asked the person who took our order if we could sit after being told we could only do takeout. He answered "once you've made it to this side of the door

We came for happy hour on a Monday. We're seated quickly at the bar. Both bartenders (both with J names I can't remember) were super friendly and attentive.
We started with the gin slushees - AMAZING!
To start we had the calamari. It was lightly breaded, and not fried to death, which I appreciate. My only complaint is that it could use some salt.
We also had the kale and mushroom pizza. It was light, and delicious! Also needed salt. But with the addition of salt, crushed red pepper, and ranch - it really hit the spot!
Over all, I will definitely be coming back!

Make reservations because the line gets long. Their food is pretty standard. I guess the things to order are their beers since it is a brewing company. I ordered a cheeseburger with salad. The salad didn't taste like much and the cheeseburger was okay. The restaurant is a good place to go during happy hour to chat with friends and family.

Great beer and pretty good food. Amazing ambiance and location!
I am a big fan of breweries. They are a great place to enjoy a pint, some local flair, and but my daughter refers to as “bar food“. The casual atmosphere appeals to us.
Maui brewing company is located on Kalakaua in downtown Waikiki. The location is fantastic, and the entryway is unusual. You either take an elevator up, or climb what seems to be too many stairs. Either way, you were greeted with a bar and dining area that is well-designed and a whole lot of fun. You can hear the bustle below, but you are removed enough from it

Its been awhile since I've been to Oahu & being a Maui girl. I found it funny the first place I stumbled into for lunch happened to be the Maui Brewing Co Waikiki. But I'm happy we did.
I enjoyed walking up all the stairs to get to the rooftop. Although not to worry there is an elevator option too. But the stairs definitely helped get me hungry for lunch.
Plus I liked how you go straight to the bar to order food & drinks before sitting down. So you don't have to wait for a server to come take your order.

A nice clean and open air brew pub. My husband and I sat at the bar. The service was phenomenal and there was a very large selection of draft beers available. Majority of them were alright but a couple were just delicious! We were in luck as they were still offering flights, which made it easier to taste a lot of them.
The food menu was pretty Americanized. We were hoping for more Hawaiian flair options. We opted for a pizza and fish n chips to split. Both were so delicious with great flavor, fresh and very large portions.
We had a fantastic time and are glad we stopped in!

Disappointing experience at the Kailua location. I would honestly give zero stars if that was an option BUT I had to leave one star ONLY because the host, our bus girl, and ONE bartender were the ONLY nice people working at this establishment.
You order and pay at the counter. Which should be easier for staff seeing there is zero table service required. First round of drinks was delivered to our table. When we ordered the second round they told us to wait at the bar for them. So automatically that's inconsistency.
We were told to grab a seat at any open table which all the "open"

We dined in here for happy hour on Sunday (I believe it's from 3:30-5/5:30?) and our experience was okay, but nothing spectacular. Before being seated, you must give the worker outside your name and contact info. It might be because of the masks but we had to literally shout this information to the worker about three times for him to understand - this made us pretty uncomfortable knowing people around us now know where we live, our full name and phone numbers.
