A Columbia institution since 1985, Murry's brings good food and good jazz to Mid-Missouri. We began with a mission to create a restaurant and bar for adults, with little regard for protocol. That vision is furthered today with an eclectic menu, inviting atmosphere, and lots of jazz. We use many locally sourced products for both the restaurant and bar.
Daily lunch and dinner specials are complemented with a wide ranging wine list and full bar. The concept has always been straightforward: Keep it simple and make it good. Join us throughout the week for live music, featuring solo piano (with an occasional sit-in) Monday through Thursday, 7:00 to 10:00.

Services
Live jazz has always been a part of Murry's. Solo piano Monday thru Thursday, 7:00 to 10:00, featuring unofficial house player Tom Andes on Monday and Wednesday. Leighton Rhoden carries on Tuesday and Thursday. Tom leads an outstanding trio Saturday nights, 9:00 til 12:00, with outside talent frequently sitting in.

6 pm of a Friday night and we were told about 45 minute wait for 4. It ended up only being about 20-25 minutes and that was awesome. The service was pretty terrible. Slow and a passive aggressive waiter. The food was a solid 4/5 and the atmosphere was great. Really dark inside the venue, like definitely darker than you are imagining right now. Really weird thing at this establishment..they do not split checks. So you have to each give your card to the server and state how much you want charged to the card. The server explained that they know this is stupid, but the owners gripe about it and make

What an amazing experience! I was here for work and everyone kept telling me to come and boy am I glad I did. The front hostesses Ruth and Leigha were so sweet and helpful. The rustic ambiance is so beautiful. They had a piano playing. It reminded me of a 1930s jazz club. It was dark and cozy. I loved it.
Now for the food. Everything is a la carte style. I got the green pepper rings and trust me when I say you have to get them. Absolutely delicious. Deb’s garlic salad is a must is you like garlic. I got the J.P.‘s grilled cheese. The bread was golden brown and crisp and the cheese was soft

I was excited to go here as friends had recommended it. I was very disappointed with my food. The philly cheesesteak had no peppers but tons of onions. The bread was so hard I could not eat it. The fries had so much salt I was not able to eat them either. The only thing on the plate I ate was the pickle. Left the place still hungry, I will not go back. It is so dimly lit we had to use the light on our phones to read the menu. The server was nice and did a great job. Overpriced and Overcooked !!!

Great vibe at this busy place. Friendly waitress and greeters. We had a short 10 min wait outside on bench. Beautiful night so we didn't mind. Bartender came out and asked if we wanted drinks. Very thoughtful. Food was good. Try the calamari and green pepper appetizers. My wife love tuna steak entree. I had French dip. Also great. Salads very fresh. Will go back.

Nice restaurant with a dark, relaxed ambiance - perfect for listening to music and enjoying dinner. Food was pretty good and the mains are a very good value. The sides were a little less reasonably priced for the portions, but weren't outrageous and were tasty. Our server was very friendly and prompt. The table enjoyed their burgers and the fried peppers were good, though a little too sweet for me. Steak sandwich was perfectly cooked, tasty and a good value. HOWEVER, I would call it a good steak served with bread and not a sandwich, lol.

I had the catfish sandwich today and a dinner salad and it was absolutely phenomenal. The fish was fried very nicely. The onion rings were definitely some of the best I’ve had this summer. We took the pepper rings to go and tried one before we hopped back on the road for 2.5 hours. Definitely recommend to those passing through the area as a local dig to try. The jazz music was a nice touch. David gave us absolutely great service during our lunch and it should definitely be noted by management! Everything came out super quick! All around a wonderful experience! I will definitely be back!

This is by far one of the best overall experiences I have had at a restaurant, every last thing I had was delicious, the server was amazingly attentive and our water was always filled, didn’t even have to think of asking. Our server also explained everything super well had several suggestions as well. Will return here for years to come!
