In January in 1906, Sheriff William Thompson raided the saloon in the midst of a poker game and hastily covered then confiscated a roulette wheel that was also in play. On the sidewalk in front of El Moro, Thompson confronted the city marshal, Jesse Stansel, for his lack of enforcement.

This restaurant prepares wonderful dishes that change according to the seasons. There's a lot of thought and creative ways that are noted by the customer experiencing their evening out to dinner.
I was there recently with family and our waitress was amazing! Very attentive with a wonderful presence about herself. I feel that part of the experience of enjoying your food is how you're positively treated by the waiter or waitress.

This is what I will say about this quaint little establishment. Upon entry, the environment is nice, upbeat andnurban social style. The menu is diverse with ingredients that wet your pallette to read! The… downside, our scallops arrived with bits of hard pieces inside, that we could only assume were shell. The waitress promptly picked it up to bring a fresh order. Our personal Waitress Jess was a doll and a gym to have serve my husband and I. 2nd downside, I am a disabled person with a seizure alert dog- to which they will question you about the particular service that your ADA registered

We were lucky enough to get in this place before the rush! Sat down right away. Good service. Awesome food! Definitely was unique with all the meat and cheese choices. Server recommended some things. Checked on us often. Loved my salmon. My husband loved his steak as well. Very flavorful. Good price for quality. Wasn't large portions which was good because we weren't super full. Nice vice. Hostess was friendly. Would definitely recommend for out of towners!!!

Looked at different restaurants for a place with good food and beer. This place looked interesting so we headed to town. They were fully booked for reservations until 8pm but the person on the phone said they took walk ins. There's only street parking so we drove around and finally found a spot. There's some outdoor seating in front of the restaurant and at the bar. Halloween decor was cool. Skulls and bats and such. We were shown to a high top table and given menus.

Our last hurrah before leaving Durango and they hit it out of the park! The Scotch was cooked PERFECTLY and tasted even better 😍 My son had the Ramen and it was delicious and incredibly flavorful! I had the Nashville spicy chicken sandwich definitely tasty. I LOVED the theme and decor even down to the details in the bathroom! Staff was so friendly and very attentive!

Usually, my frugal a$$ would just order happy hour drinks, but the specialty cocktails sounded so amazing, I ordered off that menu. Full price and all! You can't totally teach an old dog new tricks though since all the food we ordered was off the app menu :)

My family and I were there on July 4th andlo stopped here because I had seen good reviews for the brunch menu. We ended up missing brunch but had dinner. the place is super clean and I love the bathrooms! I had the Jamaican Lamb plate and absolutely loved the rice that came with it. One thing that really stoold out to me was the waitress that took… our order. I can't remember her name but we sat outside and she was tall, slim, caucasian. First, the service. Elias was a rock star. This has been the most enjoyable dinner we've had in town. He was punctual when we needed him, but not overbearing. Our glasses were never empty, but our conversation was never interrupted.
We shared the green curry mussels as an appetizer. They were delicious, and the order is a good portion for two adults.
I had the lamb shank. Extremely tender, this fell right off the bone. The risotto was a little spicy, but I loved it and it really balanced the meat.

What a great lunch!
Every cocktail we ordered was SPOT ON and so yummy.
They allowed our dogs on the patio and brought water right away, which is always great service in my eyes.
We ordered the bone marrow appetizer and it was soooo good! My only suggestion might've been more crostini's haha
I ended up getting the lollipop appetizer as my meal but they were also 10/10!
My husband ordered the mojo rising sandwich (essentially a Cuban) and it was very delicious as well, the fries were also bomb

My husband and I got into town late, after a frustrating day of travel. The atmosphere at El Moro was clean and comfortable. The service was incredibly friendly. The drinks were good and unique. The food was good, not great. The scotch egg had a good flavor but was over-fried which made them hard to cut/chew. The cheese plate was good but could have used more variety. The chicken lollipops were outstanding, I would absolutely get them again. Overall it was enjoyable and I would return!

Excellent! Due to medical issues and then this COVID-19 thing this is the first time I have not only left the confines of my house, but the state.
First night in Durango and scored a hit with this place. Great service. Perfect food. The Scotch Egg was one of the best I have had. Thoroughly enjoyed the Hanger Steak. There seems to be many places to eat here, but I have to admit I need to find time to return here.
