The Highway 3 Roadhouse & Oyster Bar is known as a local's hangout after work on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday-the only days we're open. When you come and visit, you are sure to experience some of the best Cajun, Creole and Southern food with recipes straight from Louisiana. Buried back off Highway 3 in Durango, you have to know that you are looking for us to find us.
While we are considered a local's secret, we do let outsiders in. Why would anyone go to such trouble to get here? Maybe the answer is in some of our reviews. From the foregoing, you know that we have a Cajun/Creole/Southern based menu with oysters and catfish. We bet you will also like our etouffee, softshell crabs and awesome mac & cheese.

Horrible experience! If you are looking forward to enjoying food/drinks with no interruptions, go somewhere else. We ordered several oysters, sliders, and several drinks (4 of us) and were told we needed to move to another table after a large group came and they needed our table to accommodate them. Ok fine but still inconvenient for us to move our drinks and appetizers over. We order another round of drinks and dessert and decided since it was dinner time we were going to order entrees next time our server came around. Well the owner comes over and says, you need to move now! There is a 4 top

We were having a meet and greet with some potential board members. We ordered some drinks and an appetizer. It turned out none of wanted dinner but we did want to talk some more. The waitress kept asking us if we wanted anything else. Finally she asked us to settle the bill. We were just finishing up when the owner came to our table and ask us to leave immediately. This doesn't leave me with a good feeling about this place. I probably won't go back again.

Excellent, authentic NOLA food/drinks. Good service, although they forgot one person's plate, and had to rush it. Very busy local spot, so expect a wait. Seating is primarily outside, on various covered porches. The "COVID Shed" we sat in had almost no ventilation, so wouldn't suggest going in higher summer heat.

What a Great find. We live here and haven't been able to make it to Road House Highway 3. The help and the food brought me to New Orleans. Chuck has that New Orleans food down pat. Treat yourself to dinner and just close your eyes you'll experience the food without the drive. What a find thanks again for the wonderful experience.

First time trying this place and it's pretty good. Our waitress Jessica was awesome. She was so friendly, helpful and had a great personality. She made our experience here that much better. We ordered the fried catfish and Cochon de Lait (roasted pig). First have to say I dont like fish but tried my girlfriends catfish and wow, it was really good. My Cochon arrived cold but Jess immediately corrected that and got another plate that was warmed better. The pig was really good and I also liked the collard greens & black beans that accompanied my plate. We also ordered drinks and they were good & strong
