Best thing about this hotel is the location. Our bathroom floor and carpet outside the door was wet when we arrived. Night attendant threatened to evict us & call the cops just for hanging out in the courtyard after hours. We were just winding down with drinks and conversation. Will not return.

Beautiful, luxurious, cozy, old Hotel that has been maintained wonderfully. Any minor maintenance was of no consequence on our stay. Easy valet parking, a little pricey but worth it. Easy check in. Buildings are charming and courtyards are lovely. Rooms are beautiful and spotless. Such elegance and charm. Loved our stay!

This hotel cannot be compared to a modern motel. It's an old building without a lot of amenities. However, it is very convenient for the French Quarters and has character. It has a good parking lot right next door. Great customer service.

I would actually rate this hotel 4 stars, but I'm hoping hotel management will read the details of this review and make an effort to recify some of these issues.
Beautiful hotel! The rooms are surprisingly well updated for it being such an old historical building. The location is wonderful! Steps away from Jackson Square and Royal Street.
The shower could have been cleaner (can see gray smudges where it had been wiped). Also, I saw several rats while sitting in the courtyard at night (they were running along the top of the wall and skittering into the bushes and trees). I've lived in New Orleans

This hotel could use some love. I don't mind old or disrepair but it needs to be clean. Shower was filthy. Bed was comfortable and clean. Centrally located.

Beautiful historic hotel that is very centrally located in the French quarter, and is staffed by a bunch or sweethearts! Mark is incredibly helpful. We stayed 5 nights and loved everything about it. Stay here and you'll feel like you are a part of New Orleans! *Bonus is it's really close to Cafe Du Monde!!

We've been to NOLA many times but have never stayed directly in the quarter, the location is fantastic! The room itself is spacious, and the bed is super comfy. Love the a/c and ceiling fan. The bathroom however is tiny and there is barely room to move around without bumping into a door handle, towel hook, or paper dispenser. We wish there was a microwave available so we could take home leftovers from the local eateries but there is a fridge and grocery nearby. All in all we are enjoying our stay here and would return and recommend to others looking for a French Quarter hotel.

Stayed at Place d"Armes for a 4 day getaway in May and it was fabulous. I have stayed at their sister property French Market Inn before which was also nice. This time we had a king balcony room which was fantastic. The staff (shout out to Antoinette) was so helpful, accommodating, and welcoming. To get to our room we had to go by the front desk everyday and every single time we were greeted so warmly. Great staff! I did not mind that there was no daily cleaning. if we needed fresh towels it was very easy to get them. The courtyard is so serene and beautiful. We usually come to Nola once a year

Really cool historical hotel. It was under some renovation when we were there but was beautifully kept without losing the charm and rustic feel. I loved all the greenery and the patio in the courtyard. We enjoyed a few breakfasts next to the fountain. We didn't get a chance to swim, although the pool looked nice. Our room was beautiful and large for two people and had access to a big shared deck on the second floor. There are also tables and chairs to relax on. Granted, we didn't spent a ton of time at the hotel, it was a great place to stay with great access to everything! The staff was so friendly
