It's a hotel offering the best of two worlds: completely reimagined interiors paired with a casual beach vibe, located at the ocean's edge. Let's begin there. The Ocean Park Inn - right on the boardwalk, alive with cool ocean breezes - is in the heart of Pacific Beach. The moment you arrive, the surf allures with the promise of an immersive experience.
Happiness comes in waves, especially when you're Southern California dreaming at the coastline. With brand new guest suites and a property-wide unveiling set for spring 2021, the ambitious interior renovation delivers a fresh take on mid-century style. You'll love what we've done with the place. Picture sophisticated, streamlined furnishings paired with crisp hues of cool mint green, black, white, and a soul-warming, sun-drenched yellow.

This was beyond expectations! The hotel it self was very clean and had a very welcoming feeling. The staff was very friendly and informative. The room, omg amazing. Absolutely clean and bright. And by that I mean, it wasn't dark like other hotel rooms. We had a partial view but it looked like a full view of the ocean, that was a huge a plus for us. Restaurants and bars are just steps away and so is the beach. Really glad we made our reservation for this place I don't think any other place would match our expectations.

I prepaid for a room 3 months in advance. They refused to give me my money back despite canceling 12 days ahead of time. I had a medical condition and they refused to work with me despite having a medical note. Im super bummed because it looks like a nice place but the customer service (even spoke to a manager) was horrible. I would not recommend based on that alone.

A beautiful modern room with a fabulous beach view. We received great customer service from Vanessa, Joanna and Keith. The good news is you are close to everything-the thing to be aware of-it also means you are surrounded by bars that play loud music-so wear your earplugs to bed if you want a good night's sleep. We had an issue with extremely noisy guests in the room next to us. Joanna, at the Front Desk, took care of us and moved us to a new room-very responsive.

If you are looking to stay beachfront in San Diego, this is the perfect hotel!! Great location, beautiful beach views, and the décor was very cute. Everything we wanted to do was within a 20 minute drive. When we wanted to relax, we would just open the doors to the balcony and listen to the ocean and watch the surfers. You also get front row seats to out-of-this-world sunsets over the Pacific Ocean! We went November 8-11, it was the perfect off-season trip!

My stay was absolutely perfect. I travel to SD often and this place made it my best visit to date. I was fortunate enough to experience both the weekend and weekdays. The area is full of life on the weekends and the opposite during the week. I would plan your stay based on what you want from your visit. I loved the live cam to see how busy the outside was on different days when I was planning for my visit. For me, there is not a better location, it is a super clean, and they had everything I needed and more. I don’t plan on staying anywhere else for my future visits.

Aside from the hotel's charging policy, it's not bad - right on the beach and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. There are two beach towels in the room for you to take to the beach. They also have shampoo, conditioner and body lotion in the bathroom. Do check your bill carefully though. They charge your card for $100 (for incidentals) and claim that this charge will be refunded to you within 10-14 business days after your stay (unless, of course, you actually use that balance for actual incidental charges). None of the other hotels we ever stayed in do this, so the fact that

Just checked in and very upset. I wrote in a request to be placed on the second or third floor ocean front room. I booked quite a long time ago and wrote this specific request then especially because I heard about the homeless problem at night in the grass outside the first floor. I get here and they put us on the first floor and said "we never got your request and placed you there because we honored other people's requests". So instead of the ocean view I promised my kids and am paying $530 per night for, I am getting to look at a gate and people sitting on the grass and walking

This was our second time staying at Ocean Park Inn and it was great! The hotel is situated in an incredible location. We were fortunate enough to have a room facing the boardwalk. The people-watching was priceless. It's surprising how fast the craziness of the boardwalk disappears when you shut the door and shades to it all. For those with noise sensitivities, I recommend traveling with a sound machine to drown out any background noise that may interrupt your stay.
We will be back!

There are positives. Adorable decor, right on the beach, friendly staff. For me, the big negative is nightly buskers playing music on the boardwalk with speakers pointed right at hotel. I'm in oceanfront room and there is no listening to waves with windows open, which was the entire reason I splurged for this room. Just be aware this is not a peaceful spot. Hotel staff says they can do nothing about it. Beware.

This hotel was beautiful, the staff was amazing and the area was perfect. My fiancé booked online for us and the kids. He called to see if we could have connected rooms and Ivy helped him not only set up our rooms, but upgraded us to an amazing view. Sunny was also a wonderful attendant and made sure my family and I were comfortable. They even called when we got in our room to see if we needed anything. Never have had that. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and we will be back!

This place is Epic. I'm a resort kind of guy. I like the quiet and off the path places. This trip though we wanted to stay on the ocean. My wife found this place on the beach with great reviews. I was skeptical but "it's on the beach".
This has to be one of the best independent hotels on the planet. It's small. Three stories. 20 rooms per floor or so, but it is amazing. Coming out of COVID they obviously fixed up the rooms. Maybe they have always been nice, but they are in great shape. It's quiet, except for those dang ocean waves banging on the beach all day and

Let's talk about the most wonderful staycation you will ever have...and it starts with a stay at Ocean Park Inn.
First and foremost, do not let the exterior deter you from booking a room here. Apparently the hotel has not fully completed it's remodel.
Ah, remodel. Just. Wow. Our room was so adorable. I am just the biggest fan of mid century decor and vivid colors. I read a little bit about the hotel and they described their decor and mid century meets beach...or something like that. Either way it was beautiful. So aesthetic was on point - how about comfort? We had two really

The hotel looks great in the photos and the rooms have been redone, not fancy but adequate. DO NOT BE FOOLED. We had so many problems.
1) We walked out of the hotel to the beach and on the front lawn of the hotel there are many encampments of homeless people, including people with mental issues. To the right of the hotel's front lawn there were several people talking, fighting and playing music way too loud. We immediately walked back to the hotel and advised we would be staying 2 nights only. We had non-refundable kayak tours, and 2 outdoor dinner reservations. The receptionist gave

Thank you for a safe feeling getaway from the AZ heat. Much needed mental break to the beach! Avi at the front desk was very helpful, professional and friendly as we switched rooms and even added a night. Easy parking in the basement garage. The room and pool were sparkling clean. We loved having the outdoor wash area off the beach to wash off the sand. Totally utilized the huge bin of sand toys and beach chairs by the outdoor shower. Loved the decor and comfort of the room. The balcony was spacious for 2 and the lower level beach front patio was Well worth the extra cost to let the toddler grandkids

Old, needs to be renovated. They basically get away with these prices because of location. Phone didn't work in the room and the tv was from the 90s. The hotel staff didn't really understand that they were in the hospitality business. I called to try and extend my checkout by an hour and the front desk was very dry and curt.
Again, this place gets away with their prices and very poor hospitality because of its location.

This place is easily our favorite place to stay on our annual trip to enjoy San Diego sunshine. The location is hard to beat, with easy access to the beach and boardwalk, plus a whole bunch of restaurants within easy walking distance.
Room was clean and the bathroom had cute touches and was very updated. We did miss having a hair dryer, though, so that might be something to add in the future.
We definitely appreciated the well-kept pool area and hot tub. While the hot tub was oddly extra foamy, it was a definite favorite in the evening.
Shout out for the night host guy (I apologize for not

Great location but over priced, dirty and mosquitos everywhere in my room. I paid $279 for an ocean front room and spent over 2 hours killing mosquitos and still woke up with bites. The house keeper even agreed with me that there is a mosquito problem. Broken lamp shade that didn't even match the other one on the room. The lobby furniture is old and worn and the "free breakfast" is a bunch of bread. Lots of other choices for the money.

This place is a hidden gem!! From the time we stepped foot in the hotel until the time we left EVERYONE was so friendly and helpful with everything. We loved the continental breakfast, pool and hot tub. It was steps from the boardwalk and you could get to everywhere on the boardwalk from our hotel. We had ocean front which was great for people watching and enjoying the views of the ocean. There is a Ralph's grocery store (like a Kroger) kiddy corner which was nice to get food for snacks, beer, etx. Each room had a mini chiller which is like a frig we used for yogurt, fruit, jelly etc. We

This is always our home away from home !!! They have a nice little set up for breakfast in the morning. The staff is all super friendly and helpful. They have towls for you to use at the beach. Makes it nice to not have to pack a beach towel. The views are amazing. The pool is heated. They have a lot of beach chairs an toys to use during your stay. There is a entrance to the sand from the front of hotel. What I love about this location is it is right next to a hub on the sand for the life guards.. makes ya feel a little more safe. Parking is under the hotel.

Overall it was a really nice hotel. The room was clean and the hotel over all was well kept. They had a great selection for breakfast in the morning. They do have a pool & hot tub that are facing the boardwalk. I love the location the most! Literally steps away from the boardwalk & beach. Right in the middle of a ton of great food places & shops. We walked around a lot and just enjoyed the area in general.
The staff were all friendly. They helped us with anything we did need.
The only weird thing was they had a sign that said they had chemicals or something in the hotel that could
