A home inspection is a visual inspection of the home. This includes all major systems, structural components, and interior components at the time of the inspection. A sample report is available upon request. Our goal is to provide the buyer with all applicable information about the condition of the home prior to purchase.
A sewer scope is a video inspection of the lateral sewer line leading from the main waste clean out near the foundation and connecting to the city main line. Sewer-scoping the line can reveal blockages, roots, damage to the pipe system, and other problems, which are vital for homeowners and home buyers to be aware of.

Joel recently completed an inspection for my soon to be home. This is my second home purchase and I was very impressed with the inspection. He was very prompt with scheduling the inspection and he provided the report the same day! In addition, he met me over the weekend to walk through the report and answer all of my questions. We had requested Joel to conduct our Home inspection, we opted in for the full package, Home, Sewer, and Radon. Joel provided a very detailed and easy to understand report, he went above and beyond to ensure the safety of our investment, and his rates are the most competative you will find for such fantastic and detailed service, it saved us the hastle of trying to track down 3 seperate agencies and try and figure out what we had to do as it was our first experience. Also he is a very friendly gentleman with a great sense of humor which put us at easy through the rollercoaster ride of a home purchase

Joel was very thorough, and professional. He was willing to answer all questions, and explain in detail everything that I had questions about our home purchase. Tremendous work ethic and loads of integrity. Also easy on the eyes being the lovely gentleman that he is. He also was kind enough to offer me a veteran discount, which helped mitigate the home purchase cost.

Joel was polite and prompt, we were less than 5 minutes late and joel had already been all around the outside of the house and done the sewer scope, when he was done he gave us an overview and provided us with a very detailed report. his fees were around $3-400 less than his competition. I would use him again without question.

This is the first time I had purchased a home alone. Joel (Preferred Home Inspections) was very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. He found small things of really no consequence but also found a couple of items that would have cost me a lot of money in the near future: one being a side of the roof that was not visible from the ground.
