My friends and I came here for lunch on a Sunday around noon. There was about 8 of us, but we were able to be seated right away. We were seated at a table with a grill as half of my friends were planning on ordering meat to be cooked at the table.

Food:
I ordered the tofu teriyaki plate and an avocado roll. The avocado roll was pretty standard, but nonetheless delicious. The tofu teriyaki plate was good. The portion was much bigger than I was expecting it to be. I was only able to finish about half of my food.

The menu is pretty extensive as they have a more traditional sushi menu in addition

Not the best sushi Ive had. Nearby is kazuma sushi which in my opinion has tastier fish for a much better price. I ordered two orders of salmon sushi and I was shocked by the size of them. I swear each piece was like 3 inches each. To the point where a bite felt so underwhelming and unfilling. It also took around 5 minutes of waiting In front of the front desk to actually be recognized and seated as well even when the entire restaurant was empty. Will not come here again as the alternative places serve bigger portions at a cheaper price and taste more fresh then this place

I've probably reviewed this space 2-3 times, over the course of 10 years, but the ownership keeps going through different hands, so the business listing keeps changing. What doesn't really change is the essential concept of this ambitious space. Huge space with lots of private rooms, very clubby. Half of the space is the bar and sushi area. The other half is a cooking area where it was yakiniku (grill over live flame) at one point, but now is cooking over hot stones. Not sure if that's really an upgrade. Just seems more of fad than it is a legit method of cooking.

Came on a Sunday for lunch and we were seated right away. You have the option of eating sushi, bbq, or both. We decided for both because why not? However, when we looked at the menu, the meats were definitely pricey so opted for sushi instead. I ordered a chicken teriyaki bento box and wasn't too impressed. The portions were really small and they didn't serve salads like at other sushi restaurants. My husband ordered the omakase and he enjoyed it. We also ordered side of takoyaki (did not have the squid shavings though) and edamame.

Overall, it was alright. I wouldn't come back

This spot takes an interesting dining experience by incorporating both sushi and bbq in one. The interior design is one of the best that I've seen in the Bay!

All of the meats and sushi that we ordered were all pretty good! If you decide to eat meat, I was actually pretty impressed with the way that the grills were. The grills I feel made the meat dining experience incredible - the heat was distributed evenly throughout and there were no oil splatter or the feeling of smelling like bbq after.

However, I do have to say that for the sushi, it is really pricey for the size of roll they serve

I've been here twice, once take-out during earlier in the quarantine and once dine in recently. When I ordered the take-out, I only ordered sushi. For dine in, my partner and I ordered the wagyu clay pot rice and the sexy lady roll.

The sushi rolls here are decent and I like their variety. However, the price is a bit high for the quality.

The wagyu clay pot rice was disappointing. There wasn't much wagyu, which isn't that big of an issue, but not only that, the wagyu was a bit chewy and not as smooth as I'd like. The rice was also pretty bland. Maybe needed a bit more greens

Great customer service, even for a big party of 13. Food quality is good with reasonable pricing. Sushi rolls are rolled too loosely and falls apart easily.

Really great food, short wait times, clean environment! Service can be a little slow at times but that's to be expected if it's busy and everywhere seems to be short staffed these days!

Quality of the food was great and the udon was a HUGE portion! Picture includes one of my hand above it for reference to show how large to bowl is.

Fun sports atmosphere too as they have what looks like a big projector that displays on the wall!

Great sushi and edamame! Ordered Toro sushi on doordash on a Saturday night and got our order within 45 min. Here's what we got:

- lion king roll
- ocean king roll
- M16
- spicy edamame
- pork gyoza
- salmon lover roll

If you like spicy sushi, the M16 was great! It had spicy Mayo and sliced jalapeño on top. Definitely Americanized sushi but the flavor was great. I would skip on the pork gyoza and the salmon lover roll. The salmon lover is apparently their most popular but was lacking flavor. The pork gyoza was also nothing special and not worth 8$.

The spicy edamame was probably my

2nd time here, better than I remember from a few years ago! I was skeptical of the food quality bc the interior seems very over the top, almost like a Vegas establishment (big, lots of tables, lights & decor) but it's actually really good! They plate everything really nicely and I think the prices are fair.

I just did sushi today, would like to try the grill next time! Omakase selection was good, and I loved the Tokyo roll. My dad got the chicken udon which is massive. Will return! This is a great place for large groups since they have so much space, private rooms and huge tables.

My boyfriend and I wanted to check out a new sushi place and Toro Sushi Stone Grill & Bar popped up in my yelp search. The restaurant is located in Pacific Commons Shopping Center with lots of other shops, resturants and parking. When we got there, the restaurant was pretty packed. We checked in with the hostess and she told us it would be a 10 minute wait.

After about 10 minutes or so, we were brought to a table in the back and given menus. Everything on the menu looked good, but here are the items we decided on:

1. Black garlic ramen (mine)
2. Sexy lady roll (share) - a

Came here for dinner Weds night - couldn't decide on meat or sushi so we got both! Ordered the wagyu sampler 7oz. and some of the meat def didn't taste of wagyu. Was so chewy and not in a good way. Sexy Lady roll was pretty good and the pizza was interesting. It can be a bit challenging flagging down the server so patience is key :)

This is my go to sushi spot here in Fremont! Fresh sashimi and delicious food! The size of this restaurant is massive, They have a full bar with a wide variety of special cocktails. The hallway to the bathroom looks super cool with rainbow lights! They have private rooms for big parties and a separate seating area for the stone grill for grilling meats.

Ambiance is pretty good too. Definitely going to make it our go to sushi spot in the Fremont area.

I really wanted to try this restaurant because my bestie recommended it and I love her. She recommended get sashimi and oysters and the a5 because it's truly a bargain here.

Tonight, we ordered half a dozen in Japanese Kumamoto oysters. I like them because they were fresh and they came with enough Tabasco sauce to calm my throat down. At $3 a pop, they were fine. We also ordered a hot sake. I always feel disappointed one hot topic comes out not hot. That's what happened today.

We ordered the M-16 because it was a popular roll from the top three most ordered rolls. I like the look of

Came here on a Sunday night at 7pm for a birthday celebration. We had a big party and were happy that they were able to seat all of us quickly. The interior is huge!

For 6 people we got the Kumamoto oysters, Stone Grill Premium Set, and 5 sushi rolls which was more than enough.

Kumamoto Oysters: Kumamotos are very tiny! 2-3 inches so don't be surprised when you see how small they are!

Stone Grill Premium Set: This was so delicious! Really happy they gave us the Clay Pot Special Wagyu Rice to start since we were hungry. Our grill wasn't very hot so some of our meat didn't get

The boyfriend and I decided to get sushi over the weekend to celebrate me getting a new job, and so glad I chose this spot!!

Even though we ordered and picked up for to-go, the sushi was still good! Sushi to go usually isn't the best because it always tastes better at the restaurant, but Toro's Togo was still pretty darn good.

We ordered the wagyu bento box, spicy tuna pizza, salmon nigiri platter, fried salmon skin hand roll, and the sexy lady roll. Everything was SO good and it was plenty of food for just us two. The sushi tasted pretty fresh and we almost ate everything we ordered

This is definitely a treat yourself kinda meal!!
We decided to come here because it was a bones day. The ambience is nice and spacious. I made reservations for the same day (Wed evening at 7:30pm) and there were plenty of openings.

For 3 people, we ordered the sashimi platter ($60), stone grill gold set ($90, 2 people), extra toro sashimi and 2 beers taking our total bill with tax + tip to roughly $75/person. Not cheap but we definitely didn't hold back! Everything was delicious (I loved the sashimi platter). If you love meat, you'll love the bbq but warning - it's very heavy

Average quality sushi and hot stone meats at a really marked up price. Service was good and our server was fairly attentive. Ventilation in the grill area was poor and I felt like I was sitting in front of a meaty campfire, with the smoke blowing straight into my face most of the time. Decent dinner, but I would probably stick with either going to a good sushi restaurant or a good Korean bbq place instead of this place which is average but serves both.

Really good at a decent price!

We came here for date night and got:

Wagyu stone grill gold - this came with salad, wagyu fried rice, and a set of different kinds of wagyu. It was really good! The wagyu was buttery and delicious! And it was less than $90!!! Pretty good deal for what you get. The wagyu fried rice lacked flavor though and was on the oily side.

Salmon lover roll - bomb!! Had so much flavor. If you love salmon, I'd recommend getting this.

1/2 dozen Oysters - really fresh, not sweet, not salty. but also small. Typical oyster taste lol. I still enjoyed it!

Spicy edamame - yummy

Toro's all you can eat buffet is such a good deal. It was $35 per person (don't know if it's still the same price), and came with an individual appetizer option of lobster, bluefin tuna, or filet mignon. If you are very hungry, definitely try their all you can eat buffets (check which days they offer it).

The atmosphere is nice, especially at night. The restaurant is dark but lit up with colorful lights. The food also tasted very fresh and tasty. My only complaint is how long it takes for your orders to come out. I don't know if the long waits only apply to all you can eat

One of the pricier places that is actually worth it! You will never feel meat as soft as this one! Wagyu available here. Presentation is wonderful! Staff is always kind and the place is rarely busy. Great for events and celebrations. One of my favorite places to eat at.

Was so excited to try this place, but am a bit let down. Taste wise, it is acceptable.
You can tell the sashimi isn’t cut fresh. Based on the texture (looks rubbery) you can tell it is precut and refrigerated, and honestly either tastes fishy or like nothing at all. What REALLY gives it away, is the fact that there are shriveled green onions on the hamachi l o l. The tuna was the worst offender, the yellowtail better but afterwards was not sitting well.
The wagyu clay pot flavor was great! However, it’s served in a pot that is usually for soondobu, so the rice doesn’t get very crispy on

First time I've had a carpaccio dish that wasn't completely raw. So it wasn't quite was I expecting. It was topped with a few sauces that I also was used to. I wanted a more simple, clean flavor like traditional sushi places plate their carpaccio. It wasn't bad, but not my preference. My fault, I probably should have read up on how it was prepared before ordering it.

The wagyu rice was buttery and hot. Nice chunks of meat definitely cooked cooked. So all the pieces were dell done. Nonetheless the dish was a great filler.

Takoyaki came out nice and hot. A little chewy, a

Beautiful Japanese restaurant, great place to take your date on an upscale evening. Choice of outstanding Japanese or American Wagyu or Excellent cuts of fresh sushi/sashimi. So many choices on both sides! I felt that their pricing was reasonable for the quality (Japanese A5 Wagyu for $79). Omakase with Blue fin tuna nigiri for $40!
In addition, the lunch menu has discounted yakiniku (barbecue meats) and sushi and sashimi sets. The Kumamoto oysters on the half shell was just amazing! Soy sauce/vinegar sauce paired well with the soft tasty oyster.

Nice place and nice staff. The food was good, but the only thing is that if you want a stone grill you have to reserve by phone.. They didn't say that on the website, so that was a little disappointing.
