We are a family-run business that has been successfully serving home-made Brazilian and Portuguese food in the heart of the Ironbound for the past 6 years. Our unique location has been home to several different Portuguese restaurants for the past 30 years and once my family, being from Sao Paulo Brazil took over, the fact we now had a large Portuguese clientele just could not be overlooked.
Having this in mind and in our hearts we decided to keep many of the traditional Portuguese dishes in our menu and added many Brazilian ones as well. The interplay of not only the two cuisines but the two cultures have mashed together wonderfully not only in our menu, but in the wonderful people that come to us to enjoy a great meal.

Deliciously prepared meat! The plantains were a little drier than the usual Brazilian fried bananas I've enjoyed at churrascarias, but they were tasty. The portions are ample, enough to share, particularly if you also want to try one of their appetizers. The service was courteous and attentive. If we're ever in town again, we'll make it a point to check out their live music.

Came here on a Friday night after my broadway show was cancelled. No reservations. I called and they said they were able to accommodate my party of 2. I was thankful to have parking directly across the street as you are aware this section of Newark can be very hectic with parking. We were seated right away. I did notice the table was very small but so was the facility. So much so, when our food came, they brought out another smaller table to hold our sangria and water. Restaurant is separated into two sections. We were asked if we wanted bread for the table and of course we said yes. Ordered the

Got the Rabada (oxtail with yuca) with rice and beans for takeout. Called originally to get a top sirloin but the staff member recommended a few specials including this. This came with a good amount of rice, beans in a soup. Beans had great meaty flavor and tasted amazing! Rabada was very tender and the sauce with it was great! Also the soft yuca was very good as well. Highly recommend.

Came for dinner with the fam on a Friday night. Keep in mind its a small space so you might wanna make reservations.
Drinks:
Sangria- not that good, Didnt have a rich sangria flavor or maybe the wine wasnt that sweet. We got a pitcher of it and it poured about 8 cups- the glasses are pretty small though.
Mojito- a little better, didnt taste much alcohol though.
They don't have a drinks/cocktail menu- the waiter just told us whatever 3-4 options they have.
Food:
Garlic shrimp- really good! and the sauce is packed with flavor. small portion though.
Calamari- good as well, very crisp and good

The food was AMMAAAZING here. I loved the Portuguese and Brazilian cuisine mix. The service was kind of slow here but the waiter was very kind and apologized for the wait. You get two side dishes with all the entree orders. The Octopus was especially good! The sangria wasn't anything mind blowing but still really good! the hanger steak was great and perfectly cooked to our request of medium rare. The strip on the other hand was still good but kind of on the rare side when we had ordered a medium rare. The pork ribs were delicious as well! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone

Great restaurant off of ferry street. Service was good and enjoyed the food. Great for all occasions: day with the girls or date night with that special other. We had the shirmp in garlic sauce, and steak as the mains. For sides we had mash potatoes, fried banana rice and peas. The portions sizes are very generous

Service was slow and substandard. Coffee served with no sugar. Asked for sugar twice. Finally finished cup. Sugar never arrived. Bottled water served at dinner with no glass. Servers check on you once every half hour. Steak arrived cold. I'm sure it was ready 30 min before the waitstaff ran it to the table. Oh well

I live in the neighborhood where this restaurant resides and I finally made it on a Friday night for the 1st time after 4 years. Me and my dinner guest sat outside. Perfect weather and a perfect evening.
The ambiance is very relaxing. The music is an added bonus to the overall vibe.
My steak and onions were cooked perfectly. The sautéed mushrooms are amazing. The mashed potatoes were full of flavor. My guest had the picana but it was a bit overcooked and dry. But the rice and beans and garlic greens were yummy.
We also ordered a pitcher of Sangria. Unfortunately it wasn't good which is why

This is one of my all time favourite restaurants in the NY/NJ area and anywhere really. Just the best grilled squid with quinoa and not over-cooked collard greens. Super cold Super Bock. A dream come true every time. Occasionally superlative live music. Plenty of seats outside to take in the local sights. More than highly recommended. 👏👏👏

If you're looking for a more modern take on the Ironbound experience this place is definitely a clutch move IMO. Skirt steak is a strong contender for best in the tri-state, forget about the fact that it's a fraction of the price for what you pay for sub par-skirt elsewhere in the neighborhood. Mix and match options with the delicious sides on the lunch menu also a huge plus. The cool staff and patrons only add to the cosmopolitan vibe and you find you have to keep reminding yourself that you are in fact in Newark and not a chic district of Sao Paolo.
