The Deluxe Diner is located in downtown Newark New Jersey. We serve traditional diner breakfast, lunch and brunch daily. Our menu is extensive, and it includes but it is not limited to egg specialties, soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, paninis, and more. We also offer catering with personal assistance in menu planning for all occasions, including breakfast meetings, business luncheons, and early evening affairs.
We are currently offering limited indoor dining, pick up and delivery, Monday to Saturday from 7am - 3pm. We will remain closed on sundays. Please visit back for further updates.

The reason why I gave 2 stars only because the prices are faire at Deluxe, but when it comes to food food, they're just average. They use cheap ingredients and they put lots of ice in their smoothies (My company order a lot from them, I asked 3 times for a smoothie without ice, they still make a watery one). Could do better than this! Thanks

Placed an order for pick up at noon. The order was placed over an hour before the pick up time. I showed up on time and had to wait 30 minutes. The staff were apologetic. The food had large portions. Waffles fries were excellent. Chicken parm sandwich was just average. My blt with avocado had two small slices of avocado on half the sandwich, and none on the other half. I probably wouldn't be back, but inside seating maybe better.

The service and wait staff are rude. The owner is oblivious to the community that is patronizing this establishment. Ive ordered here in person several times and the owner didn't know who I was.Your food maybe decent but attitude, service needs lots of work and I still tiped that rude childish waitress that was cleaning, sweeping and serving food simultaneously.

Diner is close to the building where I work,l. there are several other diners in the area that are close and may be cheaper, but not with the smile , and the quality food and service. Been gone almost a year and even with my mask on the call me bu name and temper my order. Chris at the counter, pops in early to get the tastes just right. Best diner around here for sure. Tried a lot on the menu and all was really good or excellent. Can't beat the wait staff either. Very efficient whether you are dining in or taking away. Love this place and am very glad they weathered the storm. Good coming

One of the cleanest restaurants I have eaten at in Newark. Their breakfast is delicious and they bring the food out very quickly. The only thing I didn't like was the high priced orange juice which was $4! Other than that, my food was awesome. This place is a hidden gem. Staff is welcoming and I will definitely be back

This a little hidden gem. This great if you don't feel like waiting at Tops or this is closer. I always get the breakfast.
Love the French toast -- not too sweet not too bland and a nice firm softness. Always a delight.
I get pick up with yelp and it's always timely. The coffee is eh...home fries weren't that great (not bad at all tho). I hope to try more of the menu.

Repeat after me... I LOVE GRITS. Uh-uh... u got to put some more emotion into it than that because the GRITS at this establishment is delicious. I know what you are thinking..grits? The low in calorie and nutritional value remains of corn? When cooked right one piece of grit can turn your whole breakfast around. The ambience here is modern, casual, with a splash of posh. If you want a quick bite this place looks likely to please. The service is exceptional with your guides as servers.

Came here around 8:30 am on a weekday, super in need of breakfast. I ordered an egg & cheese on a roll. While this is a simple order, many places mess it up by making it too messy, too much of one seasoning, not roasting the bread, or the worst- when I can taste meat that was cooked on the grill. Deluxe was not like that at all! The roll was toasted/eggs cooked/cheese melted, all to perfection! Plus tasted no meat so didn't have to throw my food out as I previously have had to.
Bonus- I didn't have cash and was way under the card limit but they let me pay with card regardless. There

I work on Broad St so this was an easy find. I was a little skeptical about diner food but a resident in our building raves about it so i gave it a try. Fries are awesome! Salads always fresh and generous servings. My only complaint is that the linguine was over cooked for my chicken Alfredo. I would suggest leaving a note as to how you'd like your pasta cooked which is what I will do next time. But overall great food, service and what time.
PS- they have a loyalty program which i love. I was able to take $4.00 off of my order.

Came based on a Yelp recommendation. Parking wasn't too bad just circled the block a couple of times. Guy that looked to be the boss was cool. Spoke to everybody that came in an left out(and this is Newark where people don't generally speak). He was wiping the counter to keep the place clean. I ordered the Deluxe Breakfast to go. Pretty tasty and plentiful.
Recommend trying it if your in the area, coming from NJPAC for instance.

Ordered at 12:01 today, it arrived at 1:14.
It was warm but just ok. The bacon was thin and just meh.
Eggs were eggs.
Hashbrown tasted burnt.
Chili was the real high light. The large is about 6 bucks, comes in a cup and the flavors were delicious. Had cheese on top. Perfect for this cold weather.
The delivery driver literally called and said your order is here then hung up in my face as I was speaking.
Not worth the long wait or for the breakfast I ordered.
If you try this place, don't order delivery.
Was also told on the phone that because I was 2-3 miles

I needed breakfast in Newark and found Deluxe Diner on Yelp. The food was just fine but where Deluxe stands out is the service. We felt very well taken care of by our server and unfortunately I didn't get her name. She was super attentive and friendly, but left us alone between checking in. We always had what we needed.
The breakfast specials include orange juice and coffee. There are refills on the coffee but not the orange juice. You can substitute out turkey bacon and turkey sausage for a small cost. I had the omelette with turkey sausage and home fries. For two of us, the check came out

Nothing gets you ready for a Saturday full of activities, is a delicious breakfast from Deluxe Diner. Situated a block or two from the family park.
Complete sumptuous breakfast comes with coffee AND orange juice. There is a choice of either any style eggs or custom cooked omelette. Hash browns or grits are included and comes with a side of bread, toasted and buttered.
