DO NOT HOST AN EVENT HERE!!! Management and event planning is appalling. My husband and I chose to host our wedding welcome reception here- drinks and light bites, drawn in by the location and outside patio. We worked with many vendors throughout our wedding planning process- and had our actual wedding at Ocean Cliff (highly recommend). Every venue in newport is busy during wedding peak season- it goes without saying. That said, Ocean Cliff is light years more busy than 41N and communication was impeccable unlike 41N. After working with THREE separate event planners due to the high turn over of

I was recently in Newport enjoying one of the last days of summer before the start of school. My fiance, two daughters, and myself decided we wanted to rent out mini scooters for an hour and venture the Island. We parked in the parking lot we had used last year for the same purpose. We sat in our car for about 15 minutes before heading out because it was a humid 90° day. Never saw a sign about parking nor did anyone come up to us to ask for the fee ... a parking fee never came to mind since we have parked here before and have never heard of such thing.

Moved here 18 months ago and live local (5 min walk). Went to The Grill at Forty 1 North to celebrate a birthday. Pleasantly surprised when we saw the indoor and outdoor dining/bar area. Cool vibe, good music playing, looked like the place to be. It was pouring out and ambience still rated. Ate in the bar area because it was covered (and dry with heaters on low made it very comfortable on a damp August night). Maitre D who greeted us when we walked in upstairs was very welcoming. Directed us to the hostess outside and that's where things went south. Zero personality from both hostess

Coming here weekly all summer, spring, winter, and during covid when open. Just walked in. 5 people behind the bar. Sat 5 minutes no one come over. Just standing around. We walked out. Too many places in Newport to put up with that. Weekly we sit at the bar . We eat, drink, spend 150 a week. Business must be so good to lose that.

Beautiful views on the dock here at Forty 1 North. My friend and I split a bottle of wine and some charcuterie while watching the Memorial Boat Parade. We had a beautiful view and enjoyed our snack.
Our group came back the next morning for brunch. Although I wasn't able to go myself, the review from everyone was that the pancakes were awesome, but the rest of the experience was just so-so. I'm looking forward to seeing it again for myself, because the view is worth the trip!

Had a 7pm reservation and got seated at 6:45. No wait service until 7:15. No drinks until 7:35, and they were awful. Were assured we would be at a table screened from cold with heat, not so. Managers were consumed by problems involving credit card mixups!!!
Terrible waitress, poor maitre D, sorry drinks. Very BAD night at 41 North and had to walk out at 8pm because there was no hope of getting dinner before 9pm.

My husband and I really enjoyed out stay at this hotel. The staff was super friendly (shout out to the valet for being a great person to chat with during car rides). The room was lovely (a fireplace!), clean and spacious. They deliver fresh water and ice every evening around 5pm which is really a nice touch. The view from the restaurant is probably one of the best ones in Newport! Also they have car service and drive you/pick you up from destinations around Newport.
Some downsides: wifi was not good at all and though I know vacation is not a time for TV, being able to stream netflix or hulu when

We booked 41 North in February 2020 for a ceremony and reception in October of 2020. Like many couples, we were taken by surprise when COVID-19 broke out across the country. Given that my fiance is in the wedding industry - we knew that there would be some curveballs to our plans and that we would need to be flexible and patient. What has happened to us in the months throughout this process has been exceptional. Forty One North has shown quite a remarkable demonstration of unprofessionalism, inexperience, and pure ignorance over the last 5 months. I give my most sincere recommendation to not book

Came here Saturday as it used to be one of my favorite Newport spots! The hostesses were really sweet so it was off to a good start. Our waiter was amazing at first he took our drink and food order quickly & came back with the jumbo shrimp cocktail.
The jumbo shrimp cocktail didn't taste right. It was fishy smelling and tasting? I don't like shrimp cocktail like that & it was almost $40 for the order of the 4 jumbo shrimp. I then ordered a filet for dinner and it was very bland.
At this point our waiter disappeared after promising to get our drink order in for last call. Luckily

Love this place! It's located right by the water and in close proximity to all the shopping and restaurants. We came here for our anniversary and my husband asked them to set a red rose in the room (it's one of his signature since we were dating). They have excellent customer service and ambiance is very nice. The rooms are spacious, clean, and elegant! Definitely recommend coming here

This place is just GORGEOUS!!!! Came here in the off season (November) so no outside seating for us... its got this beautiful sculpture of gold seashells that's just stunning and let's patrons know off the bat that you're in for an opulent experience.
Came here for a birthday dinner with a childhood friend and IT WAS EVERYTHING!!!! The view of the water and the bridge in the background at night was breathtaking.
Great place to have terrific meal with anyone; or to enjoy a bourbon in a comfortable wingback chair by the fire (which I plan to do next time). Also great for

If I was going to direct a site specific modernized update of the Great Gatsby, Forty 1 North would be my top choice for the setting. Situated just steps away from bustling Thames Street, you'd never believe how calm, tranquil, and lovely this chic hotel / restaurant really is! Whether you're here for an early morning yoga class (complimentary smoothies and coffee provided!), a swanky dinner under the shadow of the mega yachts docked by the patio, or a simple drink and dessert at the elegant bar, you're in for a total treat!

This establishment was our second stop of the day. Years ago this was a standout restaurant in the Thanes Street district called Christie's.
Forty 1 North is truly a beautiful restaurant nestled in between yachts that are larger than most mansions. I was hoping I'd run into Captain Lee from Below Deck but to no avail.
Food and drinks were being served in their outdoor bar and we grabbed two seats after about 5 minutes. Their signature cocktails averaged $16.00. My sister ordered a Bed Light and I asked for a Margarita which wasn't on the menu. Once I got my drink I was disappointed

A nice place to be someone who enjoys dim lighting, and really good food. I was looking for a place that could accommodate several people with different palates and have different items on the menu. The restaurant is not easily seen from the main road. There is a large deep parking lot that leads to the waterfront and as you approach the place, there is a large neon like "41" on the upper left side of the restaurant. Tou climb just a few stairs and enter on the left. As you walk in the place looks small however the place has a hug dining area outside on the deck near the water. I believe
