It was great until we got home and got a bill for $997 extra. We have been going there for 20+ years every summer . Unfortunately, this particular time we had noisy people above us. David moved us to a bigger room but didn’t tell us that he was going to charge us. Imagine my surprise when I got that extra $997 bill! Nothing was said we were not given a bill when we left. Conveniently, the printer is always broken he said he would email us a bill but never did. Be careful if you stay here, the old bait and switch. Very sad that we are not returning and this has broken our family tradition. The

The number one reason why we stayed here was, location! It was an outstanding place to stay but this place needs a lot of work. Lucky for us being off season the price was right. It was easy to justify the price to the room and so forth.
I definitely did not have a good night's rest there. The building is very old which makes it very loud. All night I was up listening to people do their laundry, talking and I found that really uncomfortable considering I was in the better section, right on the ocean and paid a lot more for that room. Not worth it, other than the view.

Great location on ocean/river! But our room, #112 in the DUNES bldg, needed UPDATES and had a tiny stand up shower and cruddy dirty corners in bathroom. Comfy beds. Also very hot inside the room with laundry facility underneath in cellar. I was told they were updating the bldg during off season this year. There is a convenient restaurant on Ocean and again, Great Location.

Wow! If I'd written a review 2 years ago when we stayed here I probably would have rated a 3.5- definitely dated but close to beach and mainly an enjoyable experience. Fast forward to this stay and it's a 1 and that's only because interactions with staff was adequate. Upon entering the room it was so cold we had to turn the ac off and open the windows (not a big deal but this brings us to something else disgustingly disappointing). As we are getting ready to turn in for the night with our 6, 4 and 1 year old- we shut the blinds and we were missing quite a few panels which lead me

The Norseman was excellent last year and my stay this year has been excellent as well. We stayed in the Tidal Suites and highly recommend to anyone. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. I always feel on vacation here, exactly what we are looking for. Parking is a little tight though, I am afraid to go anywhere in fear of losing my spot. Multiple days parking spots were taken by others not staying at the resort. Besides that, rooms are great, always seems like they are upgrading something, staff is the best and pricing is fair and reasonable. If you haven't stayed here but are thinking of

Wow, we were very surprised by how dated this motel is! We've walked by on our way to the beach many times and I've always thought that this looked like such a quaint motel in an amazing location. So, we decided to book a room last minute while we were in town and were very happy to get a room with a balcony view of the beach. Oddly enough, you can only see the beach while you are STANDING on the balcony...who designed these balcony railings, Andrea Bocelli? Call me crazy, but most people want to sit on their balcony in the morning to enjoy a cup of coffee while savoring the view (without

Pathetic. Ok location sort of close to the beach. But they TELL you you are "right on the beach", that you have "such a great view, looking right down on the beach"--that's what they say when you speak to them on the phone. Baloney. Not true. A lie. You might be able to "glimpse" the ocean in the far distance. NOT beachfront as they claim. And the rooms. Think Holiday Inn in the 80s. Cheap vinyl, ancient built in dark "wood" cabinets. Hard foam pillows. The cheesy vertical blinds (hello 1980s) dropped two of their slats to the floor when we opened

This place needs some updating on the rooms for sure, but is very clean, just dingy and old. The staff is so wonderful and kind. I love that its walking distance from the beach and offers free parking during your stay. Staff was very accommodating with all our questions and made our stay very enjoyable , will use again in the future!

Location, location location. Also perfect for a family with the kitchen and extra room. I could definitely imagine using this as a base camp for kids - close enough to even let them walk to the beach on their own - or there are rooms that overlook both the pool and the ocean/river so you could keep tabs on everyone. The front desk lady was really kind.

Pro: The only redeeming feature of the Aspinquid is that it's right, smack next the beach in Ogunquit. In minutes you'll be enjoying sun and sand. You can leave your car parked here an just walk to the shops, bars and restaurants near by.
Con: The place is DATED; and while in itself is not a deal breaker; you simply don't feel like you're staying in anything special - especially for this price point. The stench from cleaning fluids and of guests past effuse the room. A stained, uncomfortable futon was our only seating. A sign warning to clean up your dishes "or
