Since we first opened in 1978, Anchorage by the Sea has been a devoted family-run organization. To us, it seems like just yesterday that the blizzard of 1978 posed a major challenge for us as we built our first phase of the Inn. Yet, despite the snowy weather, we were able to complete the project and throughout the next few years, expand and renovate the remaining property.

The Towers building at Anchorage by the Sea resort is a three-story building with an elevator, located on the opposite side of Shore Road from the ocean. Tastefully decorated and newly renovated, The Towers offers views of the neighboring Ogunquit village streets and pristine landscaping. The upper front rooms may have some distant ocean views on the second and third floors.
The Lightship is a two-story building with an elevator, located on the opposite side of Shore Road from the ocean. Tastefully decorated, these rooms are slightly larger than our standard rooms. These rooms come accommodated with upscale decor, residential non-ocean views, and King beds. Some rooms have gas fireplaces and sitting areas.

Not impressed January 1 2022. Stay one night 1 st floor.
No air conditioning to move air in room or fan. Not a fan of this!
Room nothing special. No USB plugs in room on nightstand or anywhere in room.
Had unplug night stand lamp and clock to use wall plug .
No box of tissues in room ….
Had open windows in room for air movement
Room stuffy and just ok.
Not worth the $180.00 paid for one night in off season.
Don’t think will return again at these prices keep rising. Not worth the value!
Disappointed this time stay.
1 st floor beach side hardly anyone here and you pig pile everyone

Stayed for our 39th anniversary. Ocean front room. We watched a fall storm roll up the coast Friday night then woke up to a gorgeous sunny Saturday. Rooms are very comfortable, clean. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good, everywhere great views of the ocean. Sat in the Adirondack chairs on the lawn. Very relaxing. Highly recommend this place.

We love staying here! We just came back from a weekend at the Anchorage and we already miss it. You cannot beat the location with the most gorgeous views! Access to the Marginal Way is awesome. We have eaten all three meals at the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed them all, especially breakfast. The French toast is delicious! The room was clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable. We stayed in the Starboard Upper section, which overlooked the pool and restaurant. We met with the Manager, Barbara, who was super friendly and accommodating. We usually try to get away again in the winter and we are looking

Fantastic in every way! From the moment we arrived the staff (Eileen at the front desk and Tony the bartender) and everyone else went out of their way to make our visit spectacular. The grounds were pristine and the restaurant was superb. The room immaculate. The view of course is beyond beautiful. Will definitely be going back!!!
