The Park has 4,505 acres, with 34 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails winding through coastal terraces and valleys. Pogonip features approximately 8 miles of hiking trails. In the northernmost portion of Pogonip, a multi-use trail (approximately one mile in length) is open hikers, bicyclists and equestrians.
Santa Cruz's Seymour Discovery Center offers guests of all ages the opportunity to learn more about the exciting and unique underwater environment of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. The Monterey Bay is home to many great species of ocean dwelling mammals, fish and undersea vegetation. The Center showcases all life in the Bay and aims to educate patrons in ways to reduce human impact on the oceans.
The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, just east of the Santa Cruz Municipal Wharf and a short walk from downtown Santa Cruz, has enjoyed over a century of storied summers. It's one of only two remaining seaside amusement parks on the West Coast, with an arcade, amusement park, mini-golf course and laser tag.

Clean room for the night. Booked online, reasonably priced for the area. Easy and pleasant check in. No assigned parking but plenty available. Room was clean, but could've used a supervisor pass. Ex: dusty floor and window sills. Nicely redecorated, but needs maintenance attention. Ex: shower with beautiful tile and a dripping showerhead. Good hot water and pressure. Clean bed and clean sheets. Very thin walls, recommend ear buds. Regular amenities included. Walgreens across the street, restaurants within walking distance. Overall, a good stay.

I stayed for two nights in July, at $250 a night. The room did not match the picture advertised. The room was marked as having a "kitchenette" which turned out to be a broken microwave and a mini-fridge with no freezer, so the food I brought had to be tossed. The A/C was loud and extremely smelly with a red light indicating the filter needed changing. Even though the room was marked as non-smoking it smelled of smoke. The floors were not swept clean. I would stay here again! The front desk manager was extremely helpful and kind. When there was a minor internet issue he made sure to get it fixed ASAP. He was able to accommodate all my needs and the room was comfortable. I think they also recently replaced all their mattresses so that was really nice too.
