Eric was such a great help. He absolutely killed it over the phone. He knew all the nice spots and shared them with me. Thank you Eric! Looking forward to the stay.

Great place to stay in Santa Cruz if you want a view on the cheap and to be near the Boardwalk. As long as you don’t mind getting your own luggage, parking your own car and the slightly smaller rooms, you’ll enjoy this place just fine. There is no complimentary breakfast, but they have a local barista come and make coffee for guests which is nice. The only minor criticism I have is that the balcony is shared between rooms, we were fortunate enough to not have any neighbors during our stay, but this might be a deal breaker for some. Overall, it was a great experience for us and would stay here

Rooms and suites with outside doors, many with ocean views, right across from Santa Cruz’s Main Beach and Wharf. Within walking distance to Downtown, Cowell Beach, West Cliff, and Lighthouse Field with famous Steamer Lane surf spot. Rooms with shared shared balcony and basic kitchenette. Gated pool and spa area with plentiful seating and fire pit plus outside shower and towels. Limited parking $15/night with additional in the back or metered street parking (free overnight). Staff friendly and helpful, letting us stay and swim after 11am checkout. Free cocoa/coffee/tea in the mornings and popcorn

Pros: Best view in town. Amazing sunrises from the comfort our bed. Double headed shower was a nice touch. Staff is super friendly. Really enjoyed the complimentary coffee/hot cocoa/popcorn. Firepit by pool was comfy in the cold breezes of the evening. Kids loved the heated pool & hot tub. Within short walking distance of the pier, boardwalk, shops, eateries without having to stress parking.
Cons- the beds were taco beds meaning you sunk to the middle. They weren't comfortable at all, nor were the pillows.
Overall, I Highly recommend this place. It's truly a gem.

I loved this place. it's gorgeous and clean and elegant, with great access to the beach and pier in Santa Cruz. It's quiet and serene yet it's steps away from the antics and wildness of the little amusement park area on Santa Cruz's beach. The hot tub was clean and very hot and big enough to hold 6 or so people. the pool was lovely and heated but not warm enough to get me to go in. The room was so nicely decorated (paint color, crown moulding along the ceiling, tile work in the shower), i took pictures! ti found it very relaxing and also very beautiful. i got so lucky

This place is wayyyy overpriced for what you get. Our ocean view room is blocked by buildings. The mattress is very uncomfortable and squeaky when you move. The sheets are piling and not soft.
There are no black out curtains so the room has the street lights shining in from the sliding door blinds.

For $400 per night I except more. Cheap motel with a great location. It is clean though thankfully. I do NOT recommend!!!

This was nothing more than a glorified motel. Way overpriced and amenities were slim. In addition, do not stay here if you have service animals. I was completely harassed, interrogated and accused of lying regarding my service animals but the general manager. I was asked questions that legally you can't be asked: what is my disability? And what are my dogs trained to do? I was cornered in the main office by the general manager and another employee asking me question after question. The manager called me dramatic, intense and accused me of "sneaking" my dogs in. I explained to him

Had an amazing experience here!! Great price for the room and the staff were amazing! Samantha and John were so sweet at check-in, and let us park two cars for one price. Masks are required, rooms are gorgeous and the place is very well kept up and immaculate. Wonderful bathroom with natural rock shower. Cutest pool area ever with nice hot tub. There were no odd pool rules referenced in other reviews, beyond that it closes at 10pm. Tatiana was so cheerful in the morning when I came back for many cups of coffee. The location is to die for. Will absolutely come back and it was a work trip but it

Stayed here this year for 1 night over the July 4th weekend. Paid for the room with the ocean view that had a full kitchen and shared balcony. Honestly, for the price I paid, it was not worth it. After taxes, the room for 1 night came out to around $580. This was the poorest looking hotel with the ocean view that I ever paid for. Honestly it is not worth your money. I paid for an ocean view but only got a partial because of the buildings that were upfront blocking the rest of the ocean view lol. So they shouldn't be charging full price when it is only a partial. I called and spoke with a woman

Giving this only two stars simply because they told me the suite was a two bedroom. It turns out their so called two bedroom is only a single with hideaway bed in the family room. At $700 a night it was pretty disappointing to be sleeping on a pull out couch and a hideaway. The views were great, the air was fresh, and the room was clean, no complaints on that end.

We have stayed here several times over the years and this time stayed in #403 which is one of six "Beach House Suites" that were remodeled from the previous office building. Overall the interior is nice and new, floors, cabinets, paint, bathrooms. The facility has a great pool and hot tub area. We will come back again as we like the location and facility.
It needs some maintenance work, however. The lock on the bathroom door is loose, missing a screw and locked by it self when I closed it. The bathroom fan runs constantly (no way to shut it off) and disrupts sleep. Cabinet doors and drawers don

They say you pay a high ticket for location. $700 for two nights, pool level room( 4.5 star hotel, makes perfect sense). But, if you want walking distance to the beach, this is the spot. The reason for the three stars are the following: the room is way too small. Wall to wall, just barely fits two queen size beds. No room for two side tables. Just one in between the beds. I had to use a chair as my side table. Mind you we are a family with two adults and two kids. No iron in the room, so, wrinkled we strolled for the day. Even low end hotels, they usually store an iron somewhere in the room

We wanted to take a short vacay before my daughter starts a new job. We decided to go to Santa Cruz. I made my reservation via Hotels.com and it was always easy and no hassle.
Staffs: the staff who greeted me was friendly and very helpful. They also offer coffees outside. Pls tip the staff.
Location: Fantastic. Why? This hotel is right across the beach, boardwalk and the wharf. There are plenty of restaurants and stores. There's also a nice path to jog, plus you can't go wrong w the beach.
Price: for the location it's not so bad. We had a fridge and a microwave that we used for

This hotel is conveniently located right across the street from the beach and the boardwalk. It offers private access from the street right up to the rooms. It is good value compared to the price for all the hotels in the area. I actually preferred it over the Dream Inn.

Now, for customer service there are a few things that were unpleasant.
1. When I called to book I was not informed that multiple night stays would not have room cleanings service. Meaning you come back to a dirty room daily.
2. I called for more towels to be brought to my room and I was told to come get them myself.
3. I asked

We selected Beach Street Inn & Suites because of its proximity to the beach and boardwalk, and we weren't disappointed. It's RIGHT THERE across the street from the wharf and beach. There's easy parking (paid) on the property, an easy walk down to the street, a nice view (even if its not from our room), a heated pool (tiny) with plenty of chaise lounge chairs, a hot tub (reserved use due to covid restrictions), a couple fire pits, and even a filtered water bottle filling station in the laundry room.

The poolside double queen room was pretty small, but clean and nicely done

Our family of 4 stayed in a pool patio room. The room was very clean and surprised that it's one story so no one is on top of your room. Also no carpet, which was a bonus!
The pool was open, clean and a comfortable temperature. There was also plenty of seats by the pool and a fire pit you could use. There was plenty of parking and was glad that it's away from the Main Street. There is plenty of walking distance restaurants to choose from. The Boardwalk is less then 5min away. We'll definitely stay here again!!

These folks have a great facility. Location is well worth the price, with little need to use car. The manager (he had bright eyes, never got his name) was so kind, always smiling and accommodating. When we had a broken sofa bed that was concave that my daughter slept on for three nights and the maintenance guy brought it to managers attention he offered us another complimentary room for three nights so she could be comfortable --on his own. Very kind.

I can't say enough about the kindness and generosity of The manager Eric and his whole team here. The customer service during these challenging times and dealing with COVID-19 restrictions was outstanding. Great private parking on top. Brand new pool and jacuzzi. We stayed here for three nights and we will only stay here going forward. Thanks again Eric...!
