We came here on a Saturday night. One of the worst services I've ever had. The restaurant was empty. Such a cool place but the bartender was extremely rude and condescending and 3/6 of us decided not to even order based on his attitude. Came for a good time but didn't find it.

Victoria is fantastic. She is the only redeeming part of my last three experiences here. The food is sub par at best. The other male bartender consistently ignores guests and is rude. He tries to hard to be a mixologist. Do NOT bother. Waste of time and money.

Funny little place....it's a cute bar/cafe in the Kinney hotel...Nice food menu, breakfast/lunch/dinner....
But beware, they don't serve food up until they close!!
So annoying if you're staying in the hotel, hungry, 9pm....mid-weekOur 1st encounter was,"sorry, food service stops @ 9pm, I don't make the rules," the skinny, bartender w/a chip on his shoulder...same morning, Ordered breakfast, yogurt parfait, bagel lox, very good, went in for a cocktail in the evening, same bartender, "we don't have a full bar," so you can only order what's on the

I had the Bacon Wrapped Hot Dog and Blue-Eyed Blonde Lager on tap, self pour. OMG! I was one very happy camper. A definite recommendation! The only reason I didn't give Leroy's a 5 star rating was, unfortunately, the young male bartender. Not very friendly. I tried joking with him and he remained serious and solemn. Maybe he was having a bad day, or maybe he just didn't like me. Either way, I tried to get him to laugh, but he only replied with, "You haven't said anything funny". Okay, so Leroy's gets 4 stars.

I'm giving Leroy's four stars because of the service. Some bartenders ignore you...however, the fish tacos are YUMMMMMY!
They have a few games, Skee ball, video game and another game I can't remember. The place is set up nicely and the crowd is lovely. Great place to chill since nothing else is in the area.

WOW! I realize this restaurant is an extension of a new hotel here in SLO but there's no excuse for the un-welcome I recieved this Saturday morning! The entire place was sealed up ti!ght! Cant say anything about the food, service or atmosphere obviously but I think the cold shoulder I received was informative enough! Needless to say I won't be back to find out!

Giving this place a 4 star when I feel like it deserves 3.5. Its a hotel bar with a cool vibe, especially the outdoor patio. Drinks and bar options are standard fare. Staff was on par for expected service. They weren't great, they weren't bad. Nothing really negative here, just nothing that really wow' me with the experience.

This is a cute spot to have a drink and just hang out. They have a few card games and board games you can play but none of them are that great. They need a better selection. They also have skee-ball but its kind of annoying when you're trying to have a conversation and ppl out there being loud with them balls. The #basic drink is good and so is the bubblegum alley. The only food item I had was the poutine, I don't recommend tho. Gravy was bland but the fries had a good crisp. I wouldn't get it again tho.

Leroy's has a fun hip vibe in the north end of San Luis Obispo. It's located in the Kinney Hotel.

It's a great place to meet friends for drinks and has a weekly happy hour.

The emphasis is on fun! There a giant scrabble board and a giant lite-brite on the outdoor patio.

There's skee ball and shuffle boards inside and video games for all ages to play.

They also have a food menu but we only had drinks on our visit.

This place is very family friendly and located close to Cal Poly.

Stayed at the Hotel Kinney in February. Went down to Leroy's for breakfast; they definitely need a better service model. Maybe standing at the counter, waiting several minutes for someone to acknowledge you, placing an order and expecting a tip without actually doing anything first, works for happy hour with inebriated customers, but not so much at breakfast.

Prices are unreasonably high. With the new hotel and restaurant opened across the street, maybe service and prices will improve here.

Monterey Burger not so good, the steak and fries was good. The paprika seasoning on the fries is really good, and the vibe is really cool here.

Way above expectations for a restaurant connected to a hotel. Happy hour prices are amazing. Good selection of beer, wine, and cocktails.
The presidential pretzel board was my favorite food item. A good mix of salty and sweet options- hot pretzel, savory almonds, grapes, apples, pub cheese, white and yellow cheese, and meats. The chicken tenders were also delicious. Nice and crispy and served with a few different sauce options.
The have free games you can play too. Skee-ball, a variety of board games, shuffle board, and a giant outside scrabble. Modern, chill vibes matched the college themed

I ate dinner and breakfast here (as part of my overnight stay at the Kinney hotel). I arrive for dinner around 7:30 PM Sunday. The only visible employee was the bartender who doubled as the waitress. I grabbed a dinner menu, but she told me at first that dinner was no longer being served. A moment later, she entered the kitchen to inquire. It turns out that dinner is served until closing. I ordered the molasses SLO brined 1/2 chicken, which was okay. Twice while I ate, the waitress came by to see if I had paid my bill. I guess she was ending her shift and wanted to close her account. She seemed

I like this spot but the prices are a little steep and the hours and accommodations are ridiculous. The restaurant is only open until checkout and opens again during check in. So if you want to check out and get a meal before hitting the road, find another place. If you get to town early and want to have a quick drink to pass the time, find another place. Also, the restaurant doesn't even have its own phone and room service is not available. I'm not sure why the hotel is behind on these two functions but they are and it was frustrating.
Overall though the environment is incredibly fun

I give it a good rating . Good drinks and the ambiance was great . Many games and it wasn't busy .. i ordered the fries , chicken strips and tacos . Wasn't the greatest tasting but everything else made up for it. Definitely going again when I'm in town .

There is a lot of potential with this location. I cannot blame the entirety of the three stars on Leroy's alone however. The Kinney Inn and our stay influenced the rating, but in either case, it was not an above par experience.

I would love to visit the Kinney and Leroy's again. I wish under better circumstances and service.

Food was excellent and self pour bar gave us the opportunity to try different wines. The slow roasted chicken with molasses was delicious and the SLO burger and tuna salad were great too.

There were lots of great games to keep anyone from 10 -30 yrs old busy and entertained as you waited for food.

I went to eat at Leroy's (Monterey St, SLO) and ended up leaving instead.

The place was dead empty, with two employees standing at the bar looking at pictures on a cell phone.

One finally asked if I wanted some food. Given that I'm standing in a restaurant, the logical assumption would be that I'm there for food.

From behind the bar, she hands me a menu and tells me when I'm ready to order to come back to the bar.

The joint is dead empty but the SOP is no actual service table-side. Their prices aren't "do-it-yourself" cheap, so what the heck?

I left. If

Just stopped in for a drink and food before a walk to the Fremont for a show. No one was here and there were people behind the bar. No greeting, no service. Had to initiate our drinks and went to reorder and the bar manager went behind the bar to pour HERSELF a glass of wine before rudely saying "what do you want". Only to have a server come out later to check on every other table but ours.

Drinks were mixed wonderfully. Location and ambiance is stunning.

Service - super disappointing.
