We booked this hotel for a short trip to LA and I wanted a hotel close to the embassy I wanted to visit. This was walking distance and had good reviews and so I booked it quickly. I was expecting an average hotel but it turned out to be an excellent choice. It was very close to the small downtown of Westwood village with chic restaurants, coffee shops and theater.

Stayed here since it was in reasonable distance to Cedar Sinai hospital. Rooms were clean, staff were very courteous and helpful. As I got stuck at the hospital for over 12 hours and couldn’t check out the staff held my room for me and my personal property and I ended up renting the same room for another night. Thankful for all their assistance, I’ll be returning because of their customer service.

I had a very positive experience at the Royal Palace Westwood Hotel. After a long night coming in from the airport, I called to verify vacancy, which they had. Upon arrival I was greeted and accommodated accordingly. The one bed bedrooms are perfect if you are traveling alone or in a pair. Parking is available at no additional cost, which is a big plus for those traveling by vehicle. Wi-fi is available. They offer complimentary breakfast bags, which are perfect for a quick snack, as well as coffee and tea. Overall I was satisfied with my experience and I would highly consider staying there again

If you are going to UCLA medical there is a free shuttle. The hotel makes all the arrangements for you. No charge for parking... At a Los Angeles hotel? No charge for parking!! Fresh coffee 24/7,or you can request a coffee maker for you room. The staff has excellent manners. My room had a great table to sprawl my work and computer on. Beds were comfy and I loved the smell of the amenity products supplied. We got a great price and all-in-all for our purposes this was a great find

This hotel is located in close proximity to UCLA hospital which is why we used it. Also close to great food and a Target as well as a grocery store.
The hotel rooms are old, the rooms could use a coat of paint, the furniture needs to be replaced, but I felt safe and comfortable staying there for an extended period of time with my 3 1/2 year old grandchild, while parents were at UCLA hospital.
The biggest plus to me, was the kindness of the staff. Jazmin (sp) went above and beyond to help me, every time I needed it. She was so kind and caring. Angel, who also worked the front desk, was so helpful

Good hotel and staff had no problems durring our stay. The room was clean, they had free coffee all day, and it was walking distance to everything we needed to get too! Might go back if we ever need to be in the aera again. Wish the price was a bit lower but for the side of town I understand and it was less expensive than the other options. All and all had a good stay!

I choose this hotel based on the reviews since I am not familiar with the area. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Poor parking, musty hotel, no a/c remote in one room, worn carpet, lumpy bed. However, the staff was excellent and the bagged breakfast was much better than most hotels and we enjoyed the complimentary newspaper. We have to go back to the area a few more times in the near future but will not stay here again.

The rooms are nicely appointed, wonderful water pressure in showers, and the beds are very comfy. In the morning, they serve bagged breakfasts with fruit, yogurt, a bear claw pastry, cookies, orange juice and coffee. We were steps away from UCLA and other beautiful buildings in the downtown area. It is located on a quiet street as well. No complaints at all.

My group and I stayed for one night on 7/11/2021. We arrived at the check in time of 3pm. The young lady at check in was very polite and helpful and answered our questions regarding the hotel's parking. The hotel is in a decent enough neighborhood with a Starbucks a five minute walk away. I'm leaving 3 stars because the hotel does not do well in warm weather. The elevator is very small and shaky. While it does state it can hold up to 9 people or 1400lbs, it was pretty tight going in the just 4 people. Walking down the hallway to our room was hot and musty. The room itself was not any better and
