Drove all day getting up to Bar Harbor and tried the restaurant attached to our hotel. Great food, great service even amid the pandemic! Wife had blueberry martini and I had the grapefruit margarita, delicious and just the right amount of liquor. Ordered Maple Bourbon Salmon and Chicken Picatta. Loved the salmon, and the chicken was ok. Highly recommend the salmon. But overall, a great dining experience!

I ordered the bistro burger and then the mac and cheese to go. The bistro burger was a salty and dry mess, the mac and cheese was congealed and oily. It had obviously been sitting out for a while before they gave me a call. You are better off driving 5 minutes to any of the restaurants in bar harbor

Not so great. The lobster stew was rich, leaning on salt and butterfat. The salmon was ok, basically tasting like maple syrup and slightly overcooked.
The reasons I am leaving a review:
1) we both ended up with GI distress the next morning. can't say for sure it was from this meal, but the only thing we had both eaten the previous day was lobster stew.
2) there was a great deal of drama about asking for oil and vinegar for a salad instead of this tartar-sauce like house dressing. seemed like a basic request of a place that offers salad yes? olive oil arrived halfway through the meal and vinegar

Compared to most hotel restaurants, I actually think their food is better than most. That and the view of the ocean in the dining area is pretty neat. Their trouble is service. My fiance and I were waiting 10 min out front without even being attended to- tables open and no one else waiting. Once we were seated and served our first course, we waited another 5 min without silverware until I went up and asked a waitress for some. It's a case where they have a lot of potential but the service needs to be run a little bit better.
