I should've wrote this review years ago. My wife and I honeymooned in Bar Harbor, and had a wonderful stay at the manor. I'm not sure if Chris is still part of the staff, but he went above and beyond to ensure that we felt welcomed and even stayed a bit late to be sure that we arrived safely.
Our room was immaculate, and we loved our fireplace. The location is great to walk anywhere in Bar Harbor. We plan on returning one day, and this is where we will stay.

The location is really the the only aspect of this place that is worthy of 5 stars.
My room in what they called ‘the Inn’, while clean, was dark and dated. There are no amenities other than a printer and coffee maker in the lobby and an ice machine outside. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
On the whole the price I paid was just not worth it.

Christopher was super friendly and helpful. He gave us lots of great dinner options and even booked last minute dinners for us. The suite was super spacious and clean. We loved the location to town only a short walk to everything. We also liked having our car parked right in front of the room. Can’t beat the price, location and concierge services. Would definitely come back!

Great place to stay. Easy to access and the staff were very friendly. Would've been 5 stars if parking was a bit easier. Its first come first serve and fills up fast.

When we booked our September stay, most rooms in the town were sold out. We are lucky to have found a room here! The decor is old school, but the rooms were clean and spacious with everything we needed for two nights. We slept so well and were ready for sunrise at Acadia and hanging around the cute town.
As this is a smaller operation, the front desk isn’t open 24 hours. I was glad I called to arrange arrival times. The team at the desk was so nice!

The rooms were clean, people were nice and friendly, but for a $400.00 nightly ticket, not worth it.
The rooms were drab, looking like a hodgepodge of 2nd hand store cheap furniture slammed together. The rug was industrial grade brown . Sign by sink : if any dirty dishes are left, you will be charged $25.00. After a 400.00 tab, they'd charge for washing anything?

Worse of all, it was two flights of stairs up! I'm 70 and carrying suite cases up is not easy at all. Since it was a converted attic, I kept banging my head at certain spots including while using the commode. Shower was a

The people that work there are Fantastic. Our room was very clean. Christopher who works at the front desk was very welcoming when my wife and I arrived. I told him it was our anniversary and he picked out a fantastic restaurant to go to and celebrate. The place was great. Bar Harbor Manor has an 11am check out times. You can go out for breakfast and then load up the car. Easy walk to down town.
Would definitely stay there again

Truly a wonderful experience. Staff is phenomenal some of the best service I've had at a hotel. Christopher at the front desk is amazing truly. He has great recommendations for food and coffee, he went above and beyond thank you. This is a prime location for exploring bar harbor. Great walking distance for all of the shops downtown just leave your car at the Manor and walk around. I sprained my ankle prior to my trip and I was still able to walk around and get everywhere on foot. The room was well maintained, updated bathroom, bed was very comfortable. I would recommend I would love to come back

Cute spot to stay that is within a very reasonable walking distance from downtown Bar Harbor. Only about a 10min drive to the entrance of Acadia National Park. Our room was CLEAN and matched the pictures and descriptions online. The concierge, Christopher, was very welcoming and informative. The entire staff was helpful and kind throughout our stay. Overall, a nice stay that I would recommend for others.

We stayed four nights in the hotel and one night in the apartment styled room. The hotel room was great! Spacious and very clean. The staff at the main office are very friendly. Also a great location, walkable to all the stores, waterfront and restaurants. Acadia is a very quick drive away.

We booked 2 nights here to celebrate our anniversary. We are normally budget travelers and wanted to upgrade for a couple of nights. We booked a 2-queen bed room. When we checked in, we were upgraded to a king-size room in the house, rather than the hotel (room upgrade, but a *decrease* in price). Christopher, the guy at the front desk was personable and recommended places for us to eat breakfast and dinner based on what *we* wanted...he knew his stuff. The room was lovely, and we had a little private patio area.

I'm giving Bar Harbor Manor a '5' as there was really nothing to complain about during our stay.

The hotel is spread among at least 4 buildings on either side of Holland Street, with a shared parking lot for all guests. It is about a 7 - 8 block walk to the center of Bar Harbor, but there are restaurants and shops starting about 4 blocks away. It is located in a section consisting almost entirely of small hotels and B&Bs. It is also less than a 5-minute drive to connect to the main road in Acadia National Park.

Check-in was easy; the desk clerk was helpful with advice

My wife and I just returned from a fantastic visit to Bar Harbor and an truly outstanding stay at the Bar Harbor Manor! The accommodations were perfect and the staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. In particular, Chris at the front desk was awesome...he should be the Mayor of Bar Harbor!! Everyone in the town knows him, praises him...and his restaurant recommendations were 100% spot on!!! I should also mention Jan at the front desk as well...very friendly, helpful and articulate. I missed the names of other very nice individuals at the front desk so for that, I'm sorry

My husband and I stayed at the Bar Harbor Manor for 3 nights and loved it. The place is clean, quiet and located close to town (a ten minute walk) as well as Acadia Park. Christopher at the front desk is awesome!!! He is a great resource for good restaurants, things to do and even advised my husband where to get a great haircut.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Just completed a couple day stay at Bar Harbor Manor. Beautiful place, gorgeous gardens, perfectly located a bit away from the madding crowd but close enough to walk to everything. The staff were awesome! Rooms are very very clean and nice. Fresh baked cookies in the afternoon hit the spot! I highly recommend! Thanks for a great stay.

My three friends and I spent two nights at this wonderful hotel for a fun girls getaway in Bar Harbor. We were made to feel so welcome our entire stay.... Susan at the front desk was delightful - her recommendations for where to dine we're spot on and her genuine interest in hearing about our many adventures was welcome. The comfortable accommodations were pristine, and the enjoyable walk to town everyday gave us the perfect amount of exercise. Homemade cookies with coffee and tea were a special treat each afternoon! Upon checking out of the hotel, we had forgotten a well-loved teddy bear

A lovely place to stay! The person at the desk was always incredibly friendly and helpful. The decor is warm and inviting. There were binders of restaurant menus in the lobby which is a great feature. Th property was beautiful with lots of flowers and trees. We stayed in the hotel building. Our room was comfortable and the balcony was great to sit on in the morning and evening. The only real negative was that, we knew they didn't have a full breakfast, but had been under the impression there were apples in the lobby. There was not :-(

Bottom line: Quaint and quiet bed-and-breakfast sort of place (without breakfast!) about a 10-minute walk from downtown Bar Harbor. Nice to have more of a suite for the price of a hotel room.

We stayed here for several days on a trip to Bar Harbor. We were two couples traveling together, so we were looking for a place not far from downtown Bar Harbor that might have some space for sitting around and chatting in the evenings. We ended up choosing the Bar Harbor Manor because they offered a good AAA rate and you could choose your room individually on their website, based upon its characteristics

Solid place! It was a really sweet hotel. We stayed in the King room which had only a single bed and a TV and a bathroom. It was a standard room, clean and a really comfortable bed.

The highlight is the location. Close enough to walk to downtown, very kind folks at the reception desk and a really great overall environment. I recommend this place totally!

Great value. Room and bathroom were very clean, and the service was excellent. When we were greeted, the receptionist gave us a list of recommended restaurants and points of interest, which was a big help. We stayed in the hotel; not the inn. This is one of the less expensive hotel options in Bar Harbor, but is still in walking distance to everything in the town. The only negative - no onsite breakfast. Again, not a big problem since it was relatively inexpensive.

After doing quite a lot of research on Bar Harbor options I settled on this location. I needed something I could afford during the height of the season, was available for several days and walking distance to everything in town so that weighted the rating.

Positives
Clean
Great location a block off the main road into town and just a few blocks walk to everything
Decent pricing

Negatives
Well I think I counted at least seven different patterns in our room LOL wall paper, border, curtains, carpet, bed spread, shower curtain and decretive tile
While there is very pretty garden around the building

What a gem! My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and couldn't have been more comfortable. We arrived around 7PM and were met by a gracious and friendly woman behind the desk. Score one point right off the bat since I can't stand pretension or snootiness.

We'd had a miserable drive up, and to make matters worse my husband was having severe back problems. The solution? An upgraded room with a large (read 2-person) jacuzzi! The upgraded price was extremely reasonable and worth every penny. Better believe we were soaking in the tub in record time! In addition to the jacuzzi the
