Services
Dr. Berry received her Bachelor's degree at St. John's College and her Doctorate at Albany Medical College. Dr. Berry has been practicing in the Syracuse community since 1995. Dr. Berry is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynocologists. The scope of her practice includes GYN surgery and obstetrics.
This section is an overview of the stages of pregnancy highlighting our philosophy of total wellness for you and your baby. We believe that every pregnancy is unique. We will work with you to meet individual needs to provide optimal care during your pregnancy. Our providers work as a team with a rotating on-call schedule for hospital coverage.
Midwife means "with woman." Midwives partner with women to help make important health decisions. Midwives work with other members of a woman's health care team when needed, but a midwife may also be your primary care provider. CNM's are licensed, independent health care providers with prescriptive authority in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico and USVI.
The first trimester of pregnancy lasts for 12 weeks. During this stage of pregnancy you may experience morning sickness, weight gain, fatigue or emotional swings. 10-12 Weeks: Your first office visit as an OB patient. It will include a full GYN exam, including cultures and blood work. May also include a pap smear if you have not had one.
The second trimester of pregnancy lasts until the seventh month. It is often the most enjoyable stage of pregnancy as most women will start to regain some of their energy. During this stage many exciting things happen. You will notice your stomach growing. Morning sickness typically lessens, and you will begin to feel the baby move.
