601 O'Farrell, historically known as "The Farrellworth, " was built in 1928 by locally renowned designer and architect H.C. Baumann. This iconic Spanish Colonial structure features bay windows, ornamental frieze and cornice, bracketed balconies, and stately columns. Stepping through the arched doorway, feast your eyes on a rich lobby of marble flooring, decorative iron, heavy coffered ceiling, and a grand balcony.
This apartment building houses studio, one, and two-bedroom floorplans with large closets and high ceilings. Shared amenities include elevator and an on-site laundry room. Situated in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood, you're just a short walk to Union Square, the FiDi and Powell Street BART.

Comfortable building with character. All are welcome and treated respectfully. That includes pets too ;)
Everyone is respectful of one another largely due largely to the fact that the resident manager, Paula Hendricks, here since I arrived 7 years ago at 601 OFarrell, is attentive, mindful,pro-active and a nice person.
