If I could give no stars I would....
So where do I start I applied for these apartments in the beginning of October to move into a unit on November 1st everything was going good or so I thought... The closer it got to November 1st the more unprofessional they were to me. Screening my calls which I didn't even know until I called and they said my name when they answered the phone. So now I'm homeless the only answer they had as to why I wouldn't be renting is that it's the system and they don't know why it denied me and also it's not my fault and has nothing to do with

Out of the various high rises in this area - Argenta is my favorite.

It is an older building, and feels established and safe.
Beautiful courtyard - much better than a rooftop for avoiding the SF wind!

Current tenant review:

- Elevators are constantly in repair or broken with the management saying the next fix will solve the problem. If someone is moving in or out, you are waiting 15-20 minutes minimum.
- If you have a car, you're paying an additional $350/month. While this is "average" for SF, we definitely weren't expecting to also pay over $200/month for water and trash - this is a crazy rip off and the only feedback from management is that the cost for trash + valet trash is mandated by the city. Over $200/month??? AND, the trash chutes are now locked - so we are now

One of the worst apartments I've rented.

The facility is ok, the apartment itself is pretty spacious.

The problem is the management.

Management constantly deliver my package to my neighbors and their packages to me.

The elevator takes like 20 mins to wait all the time.

When I tried to break my lease, the management said that I have to pay 2 months of rent unless I can find a sublease person in 60 days and they will post my apartment on the market. They lied to me and they didn't list my apartment at all. The manager Andrew emailed me saying that it is listed, but I can't

Elevator wait times in this building are often 20 minutes. There are two elevators serving 20 floors and this building experiences constant elevator outages that span from days to weeks. I've even experienced both being out at the same time. The stairs cannot be used to go up as the doors are locked at ground level.

If you think $350/month for a dimly lit parking garage is good + ever increasing rent with lots of misc charges, come on down.

* Window cleaning is extremely rare -- Windows are typically covered in soot (can't clean them yourself)
* Elevators are notoriously broken (BTW, you can't use the stairs to go up, only down)

Elevator has been out for weeks. Extremely long wait times and the delay is causing the 2nd elevator to overheat and make a lot of noise which is now making it difficult to sleep.

I recommend the apartments themselves, the space and closets you have are un like any other community in SF

Just so you've had fair warning, if you plan to stay for more than one year, they ruthless with the raises - one year it was 15%, the others around 10-12% if you stay more than a year you will be well over market price and they won't make concessions to get you closer to going market rate if you want to stay longer

We fell in love with this apartment building for the units are very spacious, select floor plans with balcony have very good air flow, building has parking space, and most importantly the location is strategically located two blocks away from Civic Center BART, makes commuting super easy.

**Disclaimer we did not finally move in to Argenta, as we are still staying at current place on a month to month basis, having wanted to keep that flexibility for now, so this review is not coming from a resident. If we decide to move again at the right timing, Argenta would definitely be our top choice**

I saw that there was a 2 bed 2 bath unit available. I inquired via Zillow asking for a tour on Sunday afternoon. The property responded with "Tour Tuesday 4:30" Although that's a rough email response- I just responded with the time I preferred again. They scheduled me. We were good to go.

My girlfriend decided that she really wanted to see the building and thought she would see if we could view the unit on our lunch break. We again told them we were interested in the 2 bed 2 bath. They told us they could accommodate us with a mid day appointment.

We rush over to fit this all

Update: As of a few weeks ago they have released a new resident portal that has NO WAY to send management an email/message. The terrible communications of the building have become even worse.

Not safe. Security is barely present allowing dangerous intruders to enter the building frequently.

Elevator frequently breaks down.

Major wind tunnel around the building.

Argenta recently got acquired by Greystar. The new management is horrible. The company has delayed fixing many items within the building including the front door, the new security is a joke (pretty much sleeps behind the desk), packages are being stolen and management is very slow at responding. The building only has 2 elevators, and 1 is always down as it's broken or reserved for people moving out. Expect to wait 5-10 minutes for an elevator. The property Manager, Mario Lopez is the worst. Doesn't care about anything, and emails get bounced back because his inbox is always full! Looking

Since moving out I have been given the run-around on getting my deposit back. A lot of promises but no action by the manager Mario Lopez. State law (and the lease) requires them to return deposits within 3 weeks after move out. It has now been 6 weeks and still no sign of the deposit. These guys are crooks, beware!

PostScript: I had to complain to the SF district attorney's office before I finally got my deposit back. Even then it was not the full amount as required by law after 21 days without written notification of any damage to the apartment. Argenta management doesn't even honor

I woke up to a damn condom on my patio, which prompted me to update my previous review. I would give zero stars, but that's not an option.

I moved into this community almost 2 years ago, and loved it! Flash forward to this year, and it's been one awful incident after another that has us now regretting renewing our lease. After signing a new lease, I had trouble getting my deposit back, with management and maintenance claiming that my dogs peed all over the carpet in my previous unit and that they would have to replace the "very expensive" carpet. I asked how I could clean

I lived here for two years and had nothing but problems when dealing with management. Part of this is due to Argenta just one building in a conglomerate, partly to weirdly aggressive local representatives. It's very obvious that you are living in a building owned by a national real estate corporation, rather than a home managed by people who value human relationships.

At the end of the day, you are paying the premium to live in a managed building without the convenience and peace of mind.

1) Multiple times their billing system had issues with direct deposit, which for most places would be

Really expensive, mediocre apartment complex.

1. Rude notices are left regularly, like a 3 day notice to renew your renter's insurance and a "helpful" additional note telling you to buy the building's overpriced insurance that's "automatically" synced to your account, so you won't even have to notify them when you do purchase this amazing opportunity! :P

2. Dogs piss in the elevator regularly.

3. The right elevator breaks down regularly and the management puts up signs telling renters that someone is moving in--at 9 at night, when we all know the elevator

Lived here now for four months. I'll do my best to lay out the pros and cons.

Marlon and his staff are very competent and extremely attentive to all your needs. Maintenance requests are fulfilled within a timely manner. The building is clean, outdoor lounge well manicured and maintained.

We have a small 2 bedroom corner unit that overlooks City Hall. The floor to ceiling windows (which are filthy and only get cleaned annually) are not tinted so there's zero privacy and everyone at the Fox Plaza can see into our unit. We hear the garage bell when cars exit, street traffic gets loud
