I recently moved to the east coast, but lived in the lofts at seven for 1.5 years and had a great experience.
The building is in my opinion truly a hidden gem in the tenderloin, especially considering the cost of living in SF. The overall building is safe with multiple secured doors (outside door to the lobby and lobby door to the elevator and other areas) and double gates for the Parking garage and bike storage area. Additionally the building owners and team ensures that common spaces are properly cleaned on a daily basis and the overall responsiveness if something needed to be fixed in the
