By far my favorite West Santa Cruz Inn! Cozy, super clean, humbly classy.
Convenient, with room doors straight to the outside, instead of into some confined maze of hallways and elevators. Has a classic sort of vibe, yet they keep the rooms updated and fresh. The beds are way comfier than their competition.
Note to the unfamiliar with Santa Cruz: many comparably priced places that look similar on sites like booking.com are gnarly grungy, and sometimes not even family-safe-feeling. I highly recommend just going to Mission Inn's website and booking stays direct with them. The people

This is a great location, very clean, wonderful breakfast options and choices considering size (and that we have spoiled ourselves at 5 star hotels in the pass). We USUALLY skip the breakfast room as they are not worth it if you are eating healthy or want some hot food but this had the hot waffles, microwave breakfast sandwiches, hot gravy, biscuits, 3 juices, coffee, hot water, hard boiled eggs, choices of flavors in yogurt, cereals, pastries, fruit, newspaper to read etc. We were facing Mission Street and the only noise we heard (as we opened our window) was the cleaning cart wheels of the

A wedding reception was taken place when we arrived at 10:00 pm. We asked how long the music and noise would continue, they said 10:00. We had to call twice to complain before the noise died down at around 11. The room is furnished like a Motel 6, very cheaply done. I am over 6 feet and the non adjustable shower head hit me on top of my head. Mold in the toilet. No place to put tolitries. The to go breakfast was sausage and eggs that they bought from a supermarket. We are vegetarians so only cold sweet cereal for us. Bad experience.

I was very happy to have meet the lobby guy at 11pm, late check in. He was wearing a mask and felt safe.
However, my girlfriend is disabled and it is vey unfair that our room was in the second floor, with no elevator. The bath-tope - jacuzzi are only available at the second floor; this being a very important factor for our reservation and her health (she needs the bath jacuzzi to cool down her pain).
This was all ok, until I saw the staff in the morning not wearing a mask.
There goes my 1 start review. Delta is spreading because of negligence services and people like there is in this hotel. YOU

I booked a room at a hotel I have never stayed at before; I was hesitant because this was not familiar. HOWEVER, I have a couple of friends with children and grandchildren that go to UCSC and suggested this hotel very highly! Well, they were right! The minute I got here I was greeted by a classy and diligent gentleman named Damon. He was kind and helpful! He offered bottled water for our room and even gave my 3 and 5 year old children beach toys! Between this hotels generosity, professional demeanor and courteousness I WILL be back soon! I am so happy I took the suggestion of the several parents

Rebecca at the front desk was very accommodating! The room itself was what you would expect for a 3 star motel, the carpets had definitely not been cleaned in a long time though… Breakfast had a better selection then I expected with a waffle maker, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cheese sticks, granola / cereal, etc. Parking was also a breeze with us visiting on a quieter week. Overall, I would stay again.

DO NOT stay here. You will lie exhausted in your bed unable to sleep because of the 100 watt porch lights blazing through the cracks in the cheap California blinds. The chirpy front desk attendant will tell you they are "for safety" when you ask to turn them off. You will in desperation cram every towel in the room behind the blinds. And still, your room will be bright enough to find your phone so you can type this despairing review.

We enjoyed our stay here! The pros are: we were able to take an hour hot tub by ourselves; they have a breakfast room where they had yogurt, organic hard boiled eggs, cereal, cheese, pastries, granola bars, fruit, and you were able to make Belgian waffles! It was clean, they have a decent size fridge, and the customer service was great! Props to Rebecca! Also, they have Comcast for cable and premium channels were included and there was a decent size flat screen tv. One thing I really appreciated was having a place on the lamp to plug in your phone!
The cons: the heater was noisy and

On a quick trip to Santa Cruz, we found Mission Inn through Yelp. I research many hotels before I stay at one and Mission Inn seemed to check all the boxes. It was close enough to the boardwalk and close to everything. We got there around 5 and check in was easy. I was able to book a 6:00 slot for the hot tub/jacuzzi.
The staff was friendly and rooms were clean and comfortable. Because of the pandemic, the hot tub is only through reservations (which I love) and breakfast is grab and go (although people were eating at the tables?).
We booked the King suite with the jetted tub and it was a great

My husband and I just celebrated our first wedding anniversary last week and decided to take a quick getaway to Santa Cruz to celebrate.
We stayed at the Mission Inn and were SO HAPPY with our choice. Check-in was a breeze and the general manager Rebecca was a delight! Very warm and personable! The property is very secure with 24 hour video surveillance, as well as someone always at the front desk to ensure your needs can be accommodated. The managements response to COVID-19 is evident in their quick check-in process, plexiglass dividers, and breakfast served in go bags instead of the pre-pandemic
