We love happy clients! We work hard to make sure that we are a top-notch home inspection company that leaves people with the right knowledge and peace of mind. We are very happy that so many of our clients appreciate this. Below are just some of the many expressions of our loyal clients and colleagues.
I keep my inspection knowledge up-to-date, and staying educated it is of utmost importance to me. I have maintained a membership with InterNACHI, which has the highest standards and testing requirements for home inspectors. Giving you the highest quality inspections you can rely on is what I do best.
As the owner, let me start off by making you a Promise. With HJ Home Inspections, Inc. of Grand Rapids, MI, you will receive one of the most thorough inspections and comprehensive reports available in all of the industry. After more than 18 years in the Home Inspection Business, I've seen many vague, sub-standard inspection reports.
Why should I get a Home Inspection from an InterNACHI Certified Home Inspector before I buy a home?. Vegetation, surface drainage and retaining walls when these are likely to adversely affect the building. Water supply, drain, waste and main fuel shut-off valves, as well as the location of the water main and main fuel shut-off valves.
EPA estimates that about 20,000 lung cancer deaths each year in the U.S. are radon-related. Here in Grand Rapids this is something that we need to be aware of. Exposure to radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking. Radon is an odorless, tasteless and invisible gas produced by the decay of naturally occurring uranium in soil and water.

Harold was top notch. Explained any/all the issues and had his very detailed report (with pictures included) right after the inspection when he recapped the entire home inspection with us. Also provided a list with recommended contractors/services in the area even though we were not in need of any as of yet.

Harold.. Reports had amazing detail, he is very personable and excellent professional customer service. I reviewed others online and was impressed by his website. Then, after speaking with Harold directly there was NO doubt I chose the right man for our home inspection. He was very quick to get us his detailed report and even got PFAS testing expedited for us. Wish I could put 10 stars on this review for him. Some others may do a good job, or even great.. Harold is exceptional. Truly one of a kind!

From our first contact with Harold we knew we were in good hands. Harold is very professional and communicates very well throughout the process - before inspection, during, and after. The seller's real estate agent was impressed with his communication as well. He is reliable, thorough, and experienced - a top-notch inspector.

Harold was very professional on how he conducted his business. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough with his inspection. The report that he produced was great with pictures and comments on everything that he found. He was very helpful with the questions that I had as a first time home buyer. I would recommend him to anyone looking at purchasing a home.

Harold was great! He was kind, professional, and thorough. He explained things to us each step of the way, and gave us his overall opinion and feel as well. We appreciated that, especially since this was our first time needing a home inspector. We would highly recommend him to homebuyers in the future!

As a REALTOR I have found that Harold always does a thorough and complete inspection for my Buyers. When my husband & I started our recent home buying adventure, there was not a moment of hesitation - my first call went to Harold! He is there when he says he's going to be there - on time for every appointment, prepared, willing to answer questions and not afraid to get dirty...and his reports are complete and easy to read with photos. As a potential new owner, you know exactly what is on the health & safety repair list (and what can wait).
