I wanted to sell some of my gold jewelry and a friend recommended I go to Albert and Sons on West 47th Street. I set up an appointment. When I arrived Jakov had come down to the street to meet me. He brought someone to watch my car. Once up in the office I gave him my jewelry. He examined each piece very carefully often commenting on the age, craftmanship and stones on the pieces. He seemed to really know everything about my jewelry. He weighed the items and then wrote on a piece of paper that he handed to me. He explained he had written down the weight of the gold (which I knew), today's gold

A few weeks ago, I sold an old promise ring to Albert and Sons Jewelry. This search brought me to this location and I will say that I was very pleased with my experience. Edward was incredibly courteous and professional! He gave me helpful information regarding the buying process and let me know step by step what he was doing with the ring (measuring the diamonds, checking the gold content, etc.) during inspection. I appreciated that.
I called to make an appointment and didn't have to wait more than a few minutes to be seen. The store is clean and organized and the staff is friendly. I would highly

Ed was great. Sold a couple watches with him! I walked around 47th street and got appraised by 10+ people. Everyone there told me low prices for my item while Eddie told me the highest price compared to everyone.
Eddie is super professional and I would recommend anyone to go to him for anything. Alot of the other guys on 47th street will talk down your item to get your item at a lower price.
Dont waste your time in the other shops. Go straight to Eddie You wont regret it!

If you need to sell gold this is the place to go. Edward is a 5 STAR guy! I received the highest quote from them and Ed was honest enough to admit one piece of the jewelry I was selling was 18k instead 14k which got me more money. No rip off artist here! SELL YOUR GOLD HERE...you will not be dissapointed.

I recently came in to sell some gold and sat down with Ed. It was refreshing to
get an offer right away and not play the "so how much do you want to get for this" game that other gold dealers I have seen play. Ed is looking to build customers who will come back and make referrals - not just make a quick buck from someone and never see them again. Overall I was satisfied with the experience, since I am not a gold aficionado but feel I was treated fairly.

Ed is very nice and easy to talk to. This is the first place I ever came into to get an idea of what my items could sell for. I didn't feel pushed into anything at all. He gave me a price way more than I expected. When I told him I need to think about it he totally understood. I'd go back to 47st buyers!

I went to 47th St Buyers on a very rainy day. The gentleman who helped me, I believed his name was Tony, was very courteous and professional. The quote he gave me for my jewelry was higher than another place I went to. This caught me off guard and raised my initial opinion of 47th St Buyers. I highly recommend this business to anyone who want to sell their jewelry.

I called them up a week before valentines day to get rid of some old gold jewelry that i didn't wear anymore. John quickly gave me the market price of the day. I called around a few more places and everyone mostly told me to just bring it in and "we don't give prices over the phone". As soon as i got out the train their stores and people everywhere with signs "we buy gold" I didn't like fact that people were asking me if was looking to sell so i just went directly to their location. Here's a quick tip, when you find their building make sure it says 29-31 and you enter through the lobby entrance

DON'T GO THERE!!! I wanted to get a second quote from another buyer before committing to their offer, and they said "YOU STEP OUT OF HERE TO GET ANOTHER ESTIMATE YOU'RE NOT WELCOME BACK BECAUSE THIS IS THE BEST OFFER YOU'LL GET." I left and went to another buyer across the street and got a much better offer.

I had an extremely terrible, experience with these people. I came in to sell a watch, and after being low-balled was able to come to a reasonable agreement. The poster named RM was correct about the aggressive sales tactics. I reached an agreement, but did not have the certificate of authenticity or the original box on me at the time. Nevertheless, I was told that they wold give me most of the money on the spot and provide the rest when i brought the box and certificate. I told them it was in a different state so it would take about a week to ship, but they agreed. At this point I figured they

This business (aka Albert & Sons) does fast talk and tosses hundred dollar bills out before the transaction is settled. I received individual prices on my jewelry, then a rounded down price when the transaction was being done! The comments from the reviewer on 3/19/12 fit a lot of my experience. I am not a confrontational person. I was just stunned by the behavior shown to me. Unfortunately, I did not check thoroughly before I dealt with this business. Do not be fooled by the videos on their website. I contacted the Better Business Bureau, and, even they had trouble getting this

I don't leave reviews often, but I thought I would make an exception in this case. I couldn't be happier with the treatment that I received at Albert & Sons! I have heard a lot of horror stories about people getting ripped off at similar places, but just a few minutes at this place and I was sure I made a good decision. I would strongly recommend these guys.
Thanks Again!

Just went there this afternoon. I got screwed. I had an idea of the weight and gram price. The guy gave me a weight which i thought was grams but actually was pennyweight. Needless to say i got the gram pay out. This guy just wanted to get me in, cheat me, and get me out. And thats what he did. I walked out $700 short of what i should have gotten. Its my fault i should have slowed this guy down and had everything broken down by karat and had everything written out. Lesson learned. This place says they pay out 98%...only if you know what you have. Def not an honest establishment.

I do not recommend 47th St Buyers at all. I went there based on other strong yelp reviews. But when I walked in, another customer was trying to ask questions and the gentleman behind the desk yelled at her. He had apparently offered her a lump sum for several pieces of jewelry and when she asked for clarification about individual prices, he yelled.
He did the same thing to me. I gave him several pieces for which he quoted one lump sum price. He raised his voice to me when i asked for individual quotes as well. i left and subsequently got double his offer price elsewhere.
